Seven Spanish tourists killed in Yemen by suicide bomber

Two days ago, a vehicle entered the gate at Temple of Queen of Sheba, known by its Arabic name of Balquis, before it ploughed into the convoy of tourists and exploded.

Among the dead there are also two Yemenis, the guide and the interpretor.

Today we have known that Yemen, a country known by its very strict Islamic rule, has detained dozens of Al-Qaeda linked suspects.

Witnesses have declared that the suicide bomber asked who were the people inside the temple and when answered, they were Western tourists, he walked away and then came back to plough into the convoy.

But, three years after Spanish withdrawal from Iraq, leftists keep on blaming "the photo of the Azores", you know, ehh, Iraqi war...

In yesterday's session of the Spanish Debate of the Nation, PP leader Rajoy:

accused the Prime Minister of spurning allies like the US to focus on ineffective pet projects, such as his “Alliance of Civilisations” initiative, designed to foster dialogue between Europe and the Muslim world.

“Thirteen of our countrymen have been killed by jihadi attacks in the space of just a few days,” Mr Rajoy said. “Terrorism must be fought with our allies, not with other [initiatives] that are good for nothing.
