Barack Obama - Angry Young Man

From Punditarian at the Astute Bloggers:

Thomas Hobbes once wrote that the underlying emotion of his life had been fear. The underlying emotion of Barack Obama's life is anger. His anger is becoming more and more apparent.

Look at this impromptu bit:

The first thought that comes to his mind, when an elderly gentleman presents him with a lovely hand-carved walking stick, is that he is going to use it to "whup" his colleagues in Congress.

That is just sick.

And then consider his comments regarding Senator McCain's suggestion that the candidates appear in a series of town hall meetings:

"If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun," Obama said at a fundraiser in Philadelphia Friday, according to pool reports.

"We don't have a choice but to win," Obama said, joking that he has heard "folks in Philly like a good brawl. I've seen Eagles games."

Obama has tried to justify his anger as a reaction to what he learned to see as the pervasive racism of American society.

He chose as spiritual mentor a man who made a career out of theatrical expressions of righteous anger. The Reverend Jeremiah Wright expressed openly the emotion that Obama had worked diligently to control and conceal.

And, consider this point, from Reliapundit at the Astute Bloggers:

“Only Malcolm X's autobiography seemed to offer something different. His repeated acts of self-creation spoke to me..."See what he's admitting he loved about Malcolm X? His abulity to "recreate himself"

- as Obama has done his whole life

... as he is now recreating himself:

as a centrist who can bring us together

- even though he's got the most liberal record in the Senate since he's been there, and

- BEFORE THAT - when he was merely a low-level apparatchik for the corrupt Chicago machine.

NOW.... Obama wants to be seen as a man who can unite the races - despite the FACT that he's worshiped in a "Black Liberation Theology" Church run by a racist for twenty years.

He's just "recreating" himself, I guess.

NOT!

As he wrote in his memoir, Dreams of My Father, Obama discovered a technique for allaying the suspicions of the white people with whom he came into contact:

It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had
learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made
no sudden moves.

They were more than satisfied; they were relieved - such a pleasant
surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn’t seem angry all the
time. (Pages 94-95).

THESE TRICKS ARE WHY OBAMA IS DOING WELL: BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, HE'S AN ADEPT ACTOR, A CHARLATAN, AND PHONY. AND A DISSEMBLER.

When the idiots sucking up "Dreams of My (Absent Polygamous Muslim) Father" do any of them ever stop and think how it relates to this slick young huckster's campaign persona or do they just wallow in some more white guilt and resolve to "make up for it" by putting the manipulative little bastard in Office?

That's an exceptionally well-phrased question.

Barack Obama is a kind of moral pornography for the P.C. crowd, isn't he?
