Why the Huffington Post is a bridge too far from objective reality

A War Built on Lies - Arianna Huffington.....

The Committee's conclusion: the president and his top officials deliberately misrepresented secret intelligence to make the case to invade Iraq. No surprise there.

But it's vitally important that we continue to reiterate and document the truth of what happened and who was responsible for perpetrating this fraud on the American public.

WaPo on the same story....

But dive into Rockefeller's report, in search of where exactly President Bush lied about what his intelligence agencies were telling him about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein, and you may be surprised by what you find.

On Iraq's nuclear weapons program? The president's statements "were generally substantiated by intelligence community estimates."

On biological weapons, production capability and those infamous mobile laboratories? The president's statements "were substantiated by intelligence information."

On chemical weapons, then? "Substantiated by intelligence information."

On weapons of mass destruction overall (a separate section of the intelligence committee report)? "Generally substantiated by intelligence information." Delivery vehicles such as ballistic missiles? "Generally substantiated by available intelligence." Unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to deliver WMDs? "Generally substantiated by intelligence information."

The Washington Post is among the most liberal media in the United States.

How many standard deviations to the left of that on the spectrum does that place the incendiary distortions of the 'Puffho'.

That is the dead center of Mr. Obama's base.

Soros-Moveon Democratic Party ...

Their ideas about reality spring form their visceral hatred of anything to their right. Their ideas must be correct because the dialectic indicates that only this can be 'correct'. Their ideas deny objective reality even when fact finding liberal media contradict these ideas.

Their ideology is a substitute for adjustment to fact and will lead us to complete disaster of breathtaking magnitude.

We can damn the administration for the conduct of the war, as we could have condemned Mr.'s Lincoln and Stanton, Wilson, Pershing, FDR, Hull, Halsey, Truman, Ridgway, and MacArthur, or any man or woman charged with conduct of such enterprises. We can damn them for not laying about them with axes lopping off the careers of the CIA and military men charged with creating intelligence.

Either of these courses was open to the democratic party.

That is not the course they chose.

Why?
