US Weekly is feeling the heat for its blatant slam job of Sarah Palin on this week's cover - with angry readers canceling their subscriptions in droves. Sources told MSNBC.com from 5,000 to 10,000 subscribers canceled after the magazine published its "Babies, Lies & Scandal" story about John McCain's running mate.

So, the magazine loses at most $450,000 a year in revenue, hardly a large sum in the corporate world.
I don't think the Dems and their supporters in the media get it. Women are already stinging from the Obama campaign's debacle of Hillary Clinton.
To go after another woman is going to cause them problems - especially, it's woman demographic that the dems are trying to court.
Most women react emotionally - not logically when seeing another woman being attacked while men are different.
Am I wrong on this?
That's great news.
I love Anonymous' comment. I wonder if he has a friggin' job.
"Hoo boy, they only lost half a million dollars with one decision. No biggie."
If they're dumb enough to subscribe to some trashy women's mag in the first place, they'll be dumb enough to re-subscribe when this little brouhaha is over.
Gotta love it. Even if it's a small short term victory, I'll take it.
Believe me, the advertisers care if the circulation goes down, and that means an additional loss of revenue for the magazine.
This is my field, Anonymous. It's something I know about.
So, that estimate about a half a million is only a subscription revenue loss.
Subscriptions are NOT how a magazines makes its money. In fact, I'll bet the average rag subscription cost is a wash when you take into account all the printing, writing, photography, and staff costs, plus paper.
The money is in advertising.
The truth is, to talk about a loss in subscription revenue is a patent obfuscation right up front.
This is bigger than we're making clear in the story.

Dead wrong. Women are more attuned these days to the double standard that is not applied to men. No one asks if Barak Obama is fit to lead the country because he has two small children and his wife is a busy executive.
The human reaction (not the female reaction) to gross unfairness is usually anger and a desire to make it right.
Hence, I am getting emails from dozens of stauch Democratic Party female faithful who are voting for Palin this November. Obama is NOT their candidate and the Democratic "Big Tent" has proven to be an illusion to all of us.
I'm not "anonymous" -- I'm Sarah but blogger doesn't allow much choice.
