All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
“Jackson warns that he isn’t an Obama confidant or adviser, ‘just a supporter.’ But he adds that Obama has been ‘a neighbor or, better still, a member of the family.’ Jackson’s son has been a close friend of Obama for years, and Jackson’s daughter went to school with Obama’s wife Michelle.
‘We helped him start his career,’ says Jackson. ‘And then we were always there to help him move ahead. He is the continuation of our struggle for justice not only for the black people but also for all those who have been wronged.’
Will Obama’s election close the chapter of black grievances linked to memories of slavery? The reverend takes a deep breath and waits a long time before responding.
‘No, that chapter won’t be closed,’ he says. ‘However, Obama’s victory will be a huge step in the direction we have wanted America to take for decades.’”
“The direction WE have wanted America to take for decades!!!!”
Pretty instructive. But now we’re not supposed to listen to what Jackson says in France, concerning how Obama will end “‘decades of putting Israel’s interests first.’”
“‘Barack is determined to repair our relations with the world of Islam and Muslims,’ Jackson says. ‘Thanks to his background and ecumenical approach, he knows how Muslims feel while remaining committed to his own faith.’”
I’ll bet that his “background” will have a lot of influence on his policies.
But now Obama says that Jackson is not part of his campaign and doesn’t speak for him. Right.

Sometime back when we were discussing Frank Marshall Davis - I said I had seen an article about his being part of an arts center - I’ve now found that the arts center was called The South Side Arts Center - and also involved with that center was Vernon Jarrett. Vernon Jarrett is the x-fatherinlaw of Valarie Jarrett - BO’s Campagin leader. Mr. Vernon Jarrett - wrote for the Chicago Defender , the Chicago Tribune, and Chicago Sun Times - also saw reference to him writing for New York Times. He also was involved with Radio and TV shows. He was founding member of the Ntl. Assoc. Black Journalists. He wrote books - one of which called the Jerricho Continuum. He was also close associate of Jesse Jackson Sr. was given Toarchbearer award by RainbowPush Coalition in 2001 (event at the Hyatt). He was active in civil rights matters - was part of team that got Harold Washington elected as 1st black mayor of Chicago - and attributes that to Jessie Jackson’s get out the vote drive. Mr. Jarrett died of cancer in 2004 but on an occassion when he was ill and in hospital he was reportedly asked by Jessie Jackson if there was anything that he would like and his reply was “yes an absentee ballot” - so he could vote for BO when he was running for senete. Valarie Jarrett is also related to Mr. Vernon Jordan - lawyer - Washington DC - and reportedly was advisor to President Clinton. Also active politically in Chicago was Mr. Thomas G. Ayers - Bill Ayers’s father.

About Jesse Jackson and his connection with and influence upon Obama. Here’s something from a story that I found interesting:
