From The Sultan Knish

Victoria Brown sent me a link to the following article, and I really liked it. It is by the Sultan Knish (I love that name). He was born in Israel and lives in New York and something about his article is really fresh and good. I have his permission to reprint the entire article here:

Living with Cancer, Living with Islam

99 percent of Muslims are Muslims because their many times over great-grandfather was living in a village someplace when a group of men with swords marched in, and declared that they were all going to become Muslims now, or die horribly. Unless he was smart enough to get on board by being one of the men with the swords, and take home his share of the loot and slaves.

Today these people would be known as Muslim extremists. Back then they were just known as Muslims.

But there's a new Gold Rush in the West now as Western scholars, academics and politicians look around for something that isn't there — a way to co-exist with Islam. Except it's not a Gold Rush but a Fool's Gold Rush, because when it comes to Islam, co-existence has never been on the table. Islam is a religion that from its earliest days was spread by the sword of Mohammed, and then by various Caliphs, Emirs, Sultans, assorted warlords and rulers.

Religions that spread like that are no more interested in achieving co-existence, than telemarketers are interested in Do Not Call lists. It puts them out of business. Even the current boom due to "interest in Islam" can be traced back to 19 Muslims flying several planes into two major US cities with a death toll in the thousands. Minus the planes and with a much higher death toll, that is generally how people get "interested" in Islam in the first place.

When Muslim leaders talk about co-existence, what they really mean is "Stop bombing us long enough to let us destroy you."

This of course hasn't stopped well meaning Westerners from trying to find ways to get along with cancer. Like living with Cancer, living with Islam is a dead end proposition. You either go for Chemotherapy or sooner or later you wind up lying face up on a steel table with a toe tag on your foot. Except in this case the toe tag will be a Koran.

Like Cancer, Islam is a devouring entity that exists to consume, leaving destruction and misery in its wake. You cannot live with it, your choices are to either die, or force it out of your body. The West has currently pushed Button 1 while assuming that any moment now, the Cancer will turn moderate, and become willing to talk about how it can be integrated with the rest of the body.

France has banned Hijabs, Holland is looking at immigration, America has selected a leader from a Muslim background, and Cancer is laughing its ass off at the whole spectacle. It knows all this is nothing more than one of the Kubler-Ross stages of death, and that the West is still stuck on Bargaining.

We'll give you complete equality, social services, a good deal of respect, a seat at the table, the privilege to censor anything that offends you and the right to beat and rape as many women as you want — so long as you agree to be our friends. That kind of thing naturally doesn't work.

Giving people who already view you as subhuman, carte blanche to do whatever they want, isn't going to endear them to you. Just ask the Jews sitting in ghettos during WW2 and hoping that cooperating with the Nazis would avoid the worst from happening. Submission to people who already place no value on your life is death. When you do that you might as well take an ad out in the Dhimmi Personals Section.

There is of course such a thing as a Moderate Muslims, but moderate Muslims aren't a movement, they're just individuals who aren't very good Muslims — much like Jews who eat Pork or Catholics who have abortions. There are plenty of both, particularly in well off countries where religion isn't a big deal anymore, but self-indulgence is. By no coincidence those are also the places you're likely to find moderate Muslims, whose moderation consists of not being very good Muslims.

You can co-exist with Moderate Muslims because they really do want most of the same things you do, a house in the suburbs, a steady paycheck and Cable TV. Of course then their sons head to a Madrassa in Pakistan, and next thing you know they're on the plane back with a box cutter.

And that's the problem with confusing self-indulgence with moderation. The pendulum on self-indulgence always swings back to the extreme sooner or later, just as it did in Iran, just as it will in Egypt. Prosperity always breeds discontent and disgust among the very sons of those who enjoy it. It certainly did in the West producing the likes of Lenin and Ayers.

The problem is that Western anti-materialists are socialists. Muslim anti-materialists are Muslims. And so while Socialists and Muslims do their best to shake hands, the Muslim has a dagger palmed in his hand. The socialist has a copy of Das Kapital in his. It wasn't even an even match in the early 20th century. It certainly isn't an even match now, as even a casual observer of the European scene can't help but notice.

While we think of Muslims as a cultural problem, they think of us as a demographic problem. We think the solution is teaching them to be moderate. They think the solution is teaching those of us who survive to be slaves. And guess who's currently ahead on points?

According to some, there is no such thing as moderate Muslims/Islam.

Liberal Muslims... perhaps - those whom pick what they want and leave out the hate & divisive stuff.

The term "moderate Muslim" needs to be thrown out. The term is worthless to non-Muslims. In fact, it is worse than worthless.

The term allows Muslims to remain "undeclared." They don't have to decide whose side they are on. They can secretly harbor a wish that some day their democratic country will be ruled by Shari'a, that some day Islam will reign supreme over the whole world, and that some day all kafirs will pay the jizya (tax on non-Muslims), and yet they may look in every way like a good citizen, trusted by non-Muslims, allowed into influential positions, etc. But if circumstances permitted, they would work toward their Islamic supremacist fantasy. They can function like a kind of sleeper cell in our midst.

By making our own term and defining it, we can make a clear distinction for ourselves and for Muslims, between who is an enemy and who is a friend.

I propose the term "Jihad-Rejecting Muslim" or JRM.

Surind, maybe even more important than the issue of whether or not there is such a thing as a moderate Muslim is the issue of whether or not it would matter if there were.

If there are any moderate Muslims, they are not willing or capable of stopping the "non-moderate" Muslims. So learning about their doctrines or how they justify Mohammad's jihad or whatever really wouldn't even matter. The Islamic supremacists aren't listening, and those are the people who are having an impact on us non-Muslims.

What good would a moderate Muslim do for us even if we found one?

Anyone?

Surind, you are right and tragically wrong.

The folks you refer to, you imply are ignoring the parts of what a perfect god told them they MUST do, as being against conscience.

That's great except for one thing.

They are no longer muslims.

On the day some muslims publicly break with the idea that the author or the Quran is god, and that therefore it as well is NOT perfect and immutable, a beginning will have been made.

But until then all we have is people whose parents were muslim whose consciences are in rejection of what they hear and see around them and who know damn well if they speak up the 'correction' may well come from the father or brother, or son.

How many are there?
Not a many as we hope but more than we despair over there being.
10%...worldwide?
Maybe.

WHAT ARE THE PALESTINIAN MUSLINS AFRAID OF?

Where were the Palestinian Muslims who nosily marched down Young Street in Toronto today Sat Jan 03/09 telling us that Israel is so terrible for defending itself against Hamas, , where were all you Palestinians when Hamas was sending Bombs into Israel for the last 6 months? Did you march like this to demand that the Islamic terrorist group "Hamas" stop sending 80 rockets a month into Israel? No you were not that is the sad thing. It would appear that the Palestinian in Canada want us to support a Islamic terrorist group called Hamas. Or is it that you willfully deny it?

I wonder how stupid our Palestinian neighbors think Canadians are? These Gaza residents are mostly on Government assistance. They live in tents I think they must like it because none of them seems to want to get out of poverty by working and building. Now if your Palestinian friends in Gaza are so poor, why do you have so many rockets and guns, would it not be better to start building homes instead?

I wonder as well why is it that you all are so afraid to hear something bad about Islam? If Islam does not worship the same God as Israel why are you so mad, mad enough to send bombs over? We have fights sometimes with other neighbors in Canada but we don´t throw bombs at them when they won´t listen.

I wonder if you really understand the situation clearly?

Could it be that Islam teaches its ok for Non Muslims (Infidels) to be treated like slaves humiliated and brought low into submission? until we pay a protection tax and feel ourselves subdued? What is for certain is that no Christian and Jew can be murdered, as long as we keep paying the Jizya tax.

How does the Quran put it again , oh yes

SURA 009.029 There are three different translations because I know how the Muslims like to say that we misinterpreted the verse. These are Muslim translations done by Muslim Scholars, all three.

YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

PICKTHAL: Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

SHAKIR: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

Ladies and Gentlemen in Canada and around the world, please understand that Palestine wants to eliminate the Jews, just read Hamas charter found on the net.

You see what is going on in the world between Israel and these Islamic terrorist organizations?

These same problems have now filtered throw the cracks of our "peaceful pride" that we think we have living here in Canada. The darkness of war, bombs in the night that take down building´s and terrify all. These are the scenes in Israel. They soon may be the reality here.

If the Palestinian living across Canada would like to help then lets get rid of the well-known terrorist group Hamas. Lets all work together to get rid of this evil group.

I just wonder what the Palestine Muslims are so afraid of?

Mr.Mark Harding.

Statement by Michael Ignatieff, Leader of the Official Opposition - "Liberal Party of Canada", on the situation in Israel and the Gaza Strip

I am greatly concerned by the deepening violence in Israel and the Gaza Strip and the fear and suffering on all sides that this mounting instability has caused.

The Liberal Party of Canada unequivocally condemns the rocket attacks launched by Hamas against Israeli civilians and calls for an immediate end to these attacks. We affirm Israel's right to defend itself against such attacks, and also its right to exist in peace and security.

We regret the loss of life sustained on all sides of the conflict. We call on all parties to end these hostilities, mindful that a durable ceasefire will be necessary to prevent continued civilian casualties and lasting damage to essential civilian infrastructure.

The international community has a responsibility to ensure that the cost of conflict is not borne by the innocent and Canada must stand ready to assist and ensure that basic humanitarian assistance reaches those who need it.

Our thoughts are with those in Israel and the Gaza Strip whose lives are imperiled by the cycle of violence in the region. In the midst of this crisis, we continue to stand for a peaceful resolution. We firmly believe that the basis of this peace will be the mutual recognition by both Israelis and Palestinians of two states, living side by side in peace and security, with a full resolution of the issue of refugees and settlements, as well as secure and internationally recognized borders and boundaries.

"Canada is deeply concerned by the increase in hostilities between Israel and Hamas," said Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon in a statement.
"We urge renewed international diplomatic efforts to achieve a sustainable and durable ceasefire, starting with the halting of all rocket attacks on Israel."
Rocket attacks from Hamas militants and other factions into southern Israel were to blame for the crisis, said Cannon, adding that civilian safety has to be taken into account as the conflict intensifies.
"Just as urgent diplomatic efforts are needed to bring about an end to this crisis, it is essential that the international community come together to address the humanitarian situation," he said. "This includes ensuring access to food, medical and fuel supplies."

I like your term Citizen Warrior :)

Of course, those Muslims whom live in denial &/or are deluded, do not help at all. In fact... they only seem good at manipulating, making matters worse and sometimes... even turning over to the other side (their real intentions), if you know what I mean ;)

I've often thought that if it weren't for the "moderate Muslims," our task would be easy and clearcut. The sad part is many of the people who call themselves Muslim have not read the Qur'an, do not fast during Ramadan, and don't pray. I wish those people would renounce the faith and get out of our way.
