The Fiscal Year 2010 Omnibus Appropriations bill passed by Congress includes a slew of offensive items:Anybody here heard about this?
[...]
7. Limiting free speech. The omnibus bill drops a ban on federal funds being used to enforce or implement the "Fairness Doctrine." This policy would have the effect of shutting down conservative talk radio programs.
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

The experiment in liberty is over and it has failed, it seems.
Seems the perverse need of some humans to be ruled over and dictated to has outweighed the human impulse to be free.
This government believes that the state owns its citizens, and apparently a large proportion of the citizens agree.
It remains to be seen what, if anything, will awaken that yearning for liberty again in the population.
With the dictators owning the educational system, most of the media and a large chunk of the means of production, I don't have a lot of hope for a change in my lifetime.
I wish it were not so.
No matter how much money I contribute, how many letters or calls I make to reps and senators, how many rallies I attend, it seems to make no difference.
They don't need to listen to us, and if we get too annoying, they just label us "terrorists" and muzzle us.
I won't quit, but I know objectively now that we have a very slim chance of success. The tide of global socialism/world dictatorship is just too strong for a small contingent of liberty-lovers to stem, I fear.
