Mother kills newborn, can’t be charged with crime

A society as sick as ours really almost deserves it's fate. I mean, really, pass Cap and Trade and ObamaCare, invite the Muslim Jihadists to come in and kill us, and enforce Sharia law, kill everyone who wants Freedom, take all the money away from investors, regulate and tax the hell out of all entrepreneurs and innovators, let the Muslims and the Lefties get away with their good cop/bad cop Holocaust against Israel and the Jews ...

kill us all.

I would give up, except for the fact that I don't want my children or your children to have to have to inherit this world.

So I'll continue to post this kind of stuff, just so we can all see it, and take note of it, and eventually we will collectively get angry enough to take action.

From Ed Morrissey at Hot Air:

This may be the worst story of the year, at least in reference to domestic policy and crime. How bad is it? When Matt of Creative Minority Report tipped me to it this morning, I had to track it down to make sure it was on the level. A woman in Campbell County, Virginia smothered her newborn infant, and police are powerless to do anything about it:

The caller said a woman in her early 20s was in labor. When deputies arrived, they discovered the baby had actually been born around 1:00a.m., about ten hours earlier. Investigators say the baby was already dead when deputies got there.

Investigators tell WSLS the baby’s airway was still blocked. They say the baby was under bedding and had been suffocated by her mother. Investigators say because the mother and baby were still connected by the umbilical cord and placenta, state law does not consider the baby to be a separate life. Therefore, the mother cannot be charged.

“In the state of Virginia as long as the umbilical cord is attached and the placenta is still in the mother, if the baby comes out alive the mother can do whatever she wants to with that baby to kill it.“, says Investigator Tracy Emerson. “She could shoot the baby, stab the baby. As long as it’s still attached to her in some form by umbilical cord or something it’s no crime in the state of Virginia."

So we all deserved to be enslaved or killed because of this one crime?

I just did a scroll through the most recent 4 or 5 pages at Bare Naked Islam, and here's what I found:

The Tulay Goren "honor killing"

Video of civilians hacked to death by Chechen Muslims

Video of 3 Iraqui soldiers being beheaded

Video and audio of various atrocities committed by Saddam Hussein's regime

9/11/01

Embassay car bombing

A Somalian guy stoned to death for adultery

The Fort Hood massacre

In addition to the non-lethal atrocities including FGM, disfiguring acid attacks on women, forced marriages of child brides, and Rifqa.

But this crime was worse than any of them? This is the one crime that makes you feel we all deserve to be killed?

WHY?

I'm not pro-life and I think this is stupid. She should be charged with a crime.

Pastorius,

I needed to take some time after first seeing this to think about what I should say. This is a shocking story, I will not deny that, but it does not mean that our society deserves to be destroyed, especially by Jihadists. This one evil act, as horrendously vile as it maybe, by itself pales in comparison, to all the evil acts committed by Jihadists, and even more so all the evil things that they will do to us if they conquer us. Yes this is horrible, and yes this woman belongs behind bars, but lets have some perspective. Even ignoring everything else, there are still many people in our society who are horrified by things like this.

Pastorius,
A Jihadist (Muslim Terrorist) would say; Look at them destroying themselves! LOL

My say; With people like you (reminding others not to close an eye on crimes like this), it shows there is hope in the society and civilization.. all is not lost yet.

RRA,
It's not the crime. It's the law, which is a crime in an of itself.

But, I am just being dramatic. So, don't worry. I don't actually think we should all die.

RRA,
By the way, don't you think this law is a crime in and of itself?

Mah,
I think you would agree that this law has nothing to do with being pro-life.

I mean, I know that technically it falls under that category, but the fact that it does is a terrible mistake.

Abdoos,
Thanks for the kind words, but I'm not near the top of the list of good Infidels.

;-)

There are many people who are far more kind than I.

Damien,
This law needs to be done away with.

Even if the law happens to exist in it's form as some sort of mistake, you have to admit, it is an abomination.

Also, here is some more from the article:

"The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office worked unsuccessfully to get the law changed after another baby died in the county in a similar case. Emerson says they asked two delegates and one state senator to take the issue up in the General Assembly. He says the three lawmakers refused because they felt the issue was too close to the abortion issue."

So, you see, the lawmakers will not change it.

It is not JUST a mistake.

THE LAWMAKERS THINK IT IS ACCEPTABLE, AND THEY THINK IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ABORTION ISSUE

WHICH IT DOES NOT.

I'm guessing you would think that is absolutely disgusting.

You know, one of the points of this website is that we hold Islamic culture guilty for what it represents itself to be through it's power structures; the Media, it's governments, it's political organizations, and it's academic institutions.

Likewise, we would say Nazi Germany is guilty because of the way it treated Jews in particular and "inferior" people in general.

Right?

So, why is it RRA and Damien are objecting to the way I object to this law?

This law is disgusting, and as laws are a representation of our society, it reflects terribly on our society.

I hope you guys would agree.

And, even if you don't agree, I would hope you'd understand.

I will again hearken to SCIENCE to define abortion as murder, and NO FAITH. Any fetus past the age at which the youngest premature fetus has been saved to life, IS A HUMAN BEING defined by our own efforts, and the limits of our medical science.

Past this point and with the exception of the life of the mother, it IS the taking of a human life.

By any scientific definition

There is a term in law called "spontaneous outcry". What I reacted to is that your spontaneous reaction was to condemn "us all", which includes me, for the actions of others. I'm not "society". I do not deserve to be killed for what "society" does or does not do.

I was infuriated because you repeatedly exactly what the Islamist Jihadists say about all of us "Infidels". (And thank's for illustrating that for me, abdooss, you jerk. Go stick your head on the floor and your ass in the air and re-confirm your "slavery", your psychotic sadist of a god needs to hear that several billion times a day.)

Damien, thanks for saying what I mean in the reasonable terms I should have used.

I agree that under the law that should be a murder offense because the infant is no longer dependent on someone else's body for life. This is not an abortion issue. The fact that the cord and placenta are attached is irrelevant if they are no longer necessary to sustain life. Essentially it is now a singular, independent being.

Will you be as outraged as I will be if some time in the future a law is passed outlawing all abortions, including cases of rape and incest or to preserve the woman's health or save her life?

Even if you wouldn't, I hope you might understand why I would.

Epam

If it is a choice between the life of the fetus and that of the woman in whose body it resides, why should the mother not be the one designated to die? After all, our science allows for cases in which brain-dead, comatose women have delivered.

Just trawling for the fine points here.

I won't deny that this is an abomination. I was just trying to put things in perspective. Instead of wishing for our destruction or saying that we deserve to be destroyed because of something like this, wouldn't it be better to try and do something about it? As for abortion, this illustrates perfectly one of the reasons I have problems with it.
