Guardian Newspaper: New Airport Scanners May Break Child Porn Laws - What Would Charles Johnson Think Of That?

The Guardian headline, at this time, actually says:

New scanners break child porn laws

I've amended that to "may break child porn laws", because I think that, legally-speaking, that's more fair. The issue has not been settled, though I do, indeed, think they would break child porn laws, and privacy laws to, by the way.

From the Guardian:

Airport body scanner

The rapid introduction of full body scanners at British airports threatens to breach child protection laws which ban the creation of indecent images of children, the Guardian has learned.

I'm guessing Obama's Fisting Czar Kevin Jennings would be all for it.

But, what would Charles Johnson think?

My girlfriend's mother (a blonde 50 something who occasionally travels alone) told me that she has been singled out on several occasions by TSA and told to go through the full-body scanner. She was shocked when I told her that she had an option of a pat-down instead. She claims that the TSA had never informed her that there were other options available. I told her to consider contacting the ACLU if she felt harassed and should certainly contact them if the TSA demands her to go through the scanner again. I would be downright PISSED if they put me in the same situation.

These scanners are most certainly an invasion of privacy. There's no reason anyone but my Dr. or my wife ought to be viewing my junk.

Charles needs to wipe the white powder from under his nose. . .

Careful, he'll threaten to sue you.

Though, I guess you could say the white powder is from sugar donuts. He certainly looks like he eats a lot of donuts.

A) If placed in your anus this machine will not detect the material in question.

B) Al Qaeda has, apparently, for YEARS had these machines as they bought some from the manufacutrer probably through a front company.

c) This is NOT going to make us safer.

d) It is a violation of privacy at the highest level.

e) Like the Israelis, we need to PROFILE....

f) We need real TSA agents, not these union loving losers, who in many cases are not even Americans, as per Miami Airport.

You racist bigots. what is wrong with hispanics or blacks manning the machines? they are american like your ugly faces. profile my foot. when they are applied against your bloated bodies then you all cry like idiots. so it is okay to use scanner on other human beings but not on you or your mother or your girlfriends? It is okay to blo up iraqis or afghans and not okay for them to blo you up? uncultured wankers
