DUTCH SENATOR CALLS FOR BAN ON SHARIA IN THE NETHERLANDS…….

From Vlad Tepes Blog:

Dutch senator’s call for ban on sharia law is enthusiastically welcomed by Wilders

Islamophobiawatch: Christian Union Senator Roel Kuiper wants to amend the Dutch constitution to include a ban on Sharia, Islamic law. Senator Kuiper made his statement in an interview with newspaper Trouw.

The Christian Union politician wants to ban Islamic law because it is “not rooted in principles which form part of Dutch culture. Our rights, the way we treat each other, our norms of good and evil have all been molded by Christianity.”
 It seems things are changing.

In the last few months, we have reported that Angela Merkel, David Cameron, and Nicolas Sarkozy have all declared Multiculturalism to have been a failed experiment.

And, we find that MORE MUSLIMS ARE LEAVING GERMANY THAN COMING TO GERMANY, no doubt thanks to the cordial, welcoming nature of the Germans.   ;-)

There are more stories of victory for our side, but these are all I can remember for now.

Here's one of my faves, Bavarian premier calls for an end to Turkish and Arab immigration. Not just a fringe player like Wilders, Dewinter, Tancredo, etc., but a mainstream politician in an executive position. Gotta love those cordial and welcoming Germans!

Did you see this, Pasto? Here are some selected Pew Forum projections for Muslim populations in 2030:

Canada: 6.6%
USA: 1.7%
France: 10.3%
Germany: 7.1%
Italy: 5.4%
UK: 8.2%
Spain: 3.7%
Netherlands: 7.8%
Sweden: 9.9%
Australia: 2.8%

They're not nearly as bad as I would have thought, especially the US at only 1.7% USA, USA, USA!

The question is, just how believable are their numbers? I posted these numbers along with some of the other stories in this post at another blog, saying that there was good news coming out of Europe. Someone accused me of spreading misinformation and assisting white genocide because people would be lulled into complacency! I really hope that these numbers are true and that these politicians are serious about stopping Muslim immigration once and for all. What do you think?

Jeppo,
Unfortunately, I don't think those numbers are accurate.

I've been paying heavy attention to this subject since 2003. And, even back then the estimates for France were that 10% of the population was Muslim.

Frankly (pun intended) I would expect the Muslim population would be close to 15% now, given that there is still an influx of immigrants from North Africa, and the high birth rate.

Yes, France has supposedly been about 10% Muslim for some time. But it's really hard to come by hard figures for the Muslim population in a lot of countries, especially France and the US, neither of which collect religious stats. The Pew numbers look pretty low for a lot of nations, not just France, but they seem to have put a lot of effort into calculating these numbers, using a lot of different sources, following the trends of immigration and birth rates, etc.

Maybe, just maybe, we counterjihad types have been exaggerating the threat of the coming Islamic takeover of Europe because our numbers and forecasts have been too high to begin with. I believe the Pew Forum is regarded as somewhat liberal, but I think they have a pretty good reputation for polling, number-crunching and estimating various populations. If there is no other reputable group that has done a similar census of Muslims worldwide, then the Pew numbers are probably the closest estimates we're likely to get.

If the 2030 estimates are even close to being accurate, then that is simply great news for Europe and Western civilization in general. But liberals could use these numbers against us, claiming that there's nothing to worry about, and that we're just fear-mongering about the coming of Eurabia and widespread application of sharia law. And if 20 years from now the US will be only 1.7% Muslim, it doesn't seem all that frightening after all, does it? Of course Muslim immigration should be ended and all Islamist radicals deported, but that might be a harder case to make if overall Muslim numbers remain relatively low throughout the West.

I reply: Yes, I have thought that for some time.

For instance, we make a big deal of the problems in the UK. But, the reality is, there are not very many Muslims in the UK.

The problem is, as you know, they congregate in enclaves, and they take over from there.

Hence trouble spots like Malmo, Brussels, London, Luton, Marseilles, Hamburg, etc.

Some of those cities have real problems as far as I can tell.

I have been in neighborhoods here in the US and in Canada which have shocked me as well.

Even if there are relatively few Muslims, their presence causes some serious issues, in my opinion. For instance, in Newport Beach, CA there is a mall called Fashion Island. It is about 1 mile inland from the water. It is a very nice place, with very nice shops. A great place to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family.

However, in the past year things have changed a bit. NOT DRASTICALLY. But, a bit.

Here's how they have changed.

Last time I was there, about three months back, I saw about 20 women in various hijab, and another 8-10 women in Niqabs.

These are wealthy comfortable Newport Beach women. But, they are wearing extremist garb. I have said it before, and I will continue to say it. Whenever I see a Niqab/Burqa, to my mind, I am seeing the equivalent of a swastika. Those clothing tell me that I am in the presence of an Islamofascist. If not the women herself, then her husband or whatever man is in control of her life.

The problem presented is the normalization of evil. It is clear to me that the oppression inherent in the Niqab/burqa is evil. But, when we see rich Newport Beach socialites "enjoying" a day shopping at the glamorous Fashion Island it has the effect of making it seem like there is nothing evil going on.

I fear for the longterm effect of this kind of Muslim presence.

My hats off to the Newport Beach Imam who was able to pull off this PR stunt of glitzy woman-hatred.

I agree, Muslim "women of cover", as GW Bush called them, are radicals or are controlled by radical Muslim men. How dare these savages wreck a beautiful spot like Newport Beach! I think in the long run we'll see far more radical Muslim populations in Western countries than in their home countries, as a way of differentiating and separating themselves from the hated infidel majority.

Eventually I think radical Islamism will begin to fade, but not disappear, in most Muslim countries. It's just too stupid and primitive of a social system to thrive forever. It faded throughout the Muslim world from the 1920s to the 70s, but has since come back with a vengeance. I think and hope that its resurgence is temporary in the Mideast, but it will likely only get stronger among Muslims in the West. So even if Muslim populations here remain relatively small, they'll still be extremely dangerous.

Funny you should mention the UK. Looking at the Pew data, I thought that Muslim growth rates in most of the West weren't as high as I would have expected, except in the 3 nations with the most politically correct and suicidally stupid immigration-uber-alles policies on earth: Canada, Sweden and the UK. Just be thankful you live in the (only 1.7% Muslim by 2030) United States.
