From IBD:
When you hear every single liberal media outlet in the country say, "We will know more about Rick Perry after we vet his 11 years in office," you need to understand that what they vindictively mean is: "President Obama and his followers will be proud of us after we are done with the mother of all smearing campaigns against the conservative governor of Texas."Read the whole thing.
Not since Ronald Reagan has a Republican candidate for president evoked such outright fear and loathing from the mainstream media and the far-left.
They are flat-out petrified of Perry and are desperately trying to kill off his candidacy before it can take hold. Why?
Simple. As they suspiciously heap praise on the likes of Jon Huntsman and even Mitt Romney, they increasingly worry that Perry has the best chance to defeat their handpicked socialist messiah now occupying the Oval Office.

Pastorius,
Just because some people on both sides of the Isle dislike him and don't want him to be president does not mean that he's the candidate. There are a few rare leftists after all who dislike Obama, as well rightists who dislike him.
Pastorius,
Actually now that Obama is in the white house, there probably are a few more leftists who wish someone else was president instead of him. Most likely he disappointed a lot of them in one way or another.
On a tea party site here in Maine Perry might as well have been Stalin. To the left he's Hitler AND Quisling.
Frankly that is PROBABLY exactly why he is gutting Romney despite his unwise PUBLIC comments on Bernanke.
Damien,
Yes, you're right. Logically it does not follow that because Perry is disliked by the extremes that it means he will be President. My point is, the extremes are bad people. he is hated by bad people. That is a good thing. He will be President, unless the media somehow destroys him, or some unforeseen thing happens to America between now and the election.
Romney would be a disastrous choice for the Republican party.
My opinion is, there are no other viable, electable candidates at this time.
I think, however, that Bachman and, especially, Rubio would strengthen a Perry ticket.
Pastorius,
Okay, I see your point.
