It looks to me as if he has cocaine ego.
One of our friends, who descended into the cokehead status, developed that same king of maniacal ego. He was insufferable, and even after he shook the habit, he'd done so much damage to our friendship, that friendship forever ended.
Liked the "possible" exceptions...
