Obama: “We Can’t Just Drill Our Way To Lower Gas Prices”
As usual, politicians have been rolling out their three-point plans for two-dollar gas: drill, drill, and drill some more. Well, my response is, we have been drilling.

U.S. in Contempt Over Gulf Drill Ban, Judge Rules
The Obama Administration acted in contempt by continuing its deepwater-drilling moratorium after the policy was struck down, a New Orleans judge ruled.Interior Department regulators acted with “determined disregard” by lifting and reinstituting a series of policy changes that restricted offshore drilling, following the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history, U.S. District Judge, Martin Feldman of New Orleans ruled yesterday.
Ok but,…
But you and I both know that with only 2% of the world’s oil reserves, we can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices – not when consume 20 percent of the world’s oil. We need an all-of-the-above strategy that relies less on foreign oil and more on American-made energy – solar, wind, natural gas, biofuels, and more.

“What we see and what we hear from this administration are two different things. No place is this more clear than the decision today on the Keystone XL pipeline. President Obama said last year that many of the shovel-ready jobs imagined by his stimulus program were ‘not as shovel-ready as we expected.’ But the Keystone XL pipeline would create 20,000 new U.S. construction-related jobs over the next two years. More importantly, it would help support the creation of half-a-million new jobs by 2035. But today … in a clear abdication of presidential leadership, the president will reject the Keystone XL pipeline. How can you say you are for jobs and reject the largest shovel-ready project in America today? Mr. President, what are you thinking?”
“The president has had three years to make a fundamental decision: Is this in the national interest?…The president has missed an easy opportunity to do what’s in the best interest of the United States.”
I don’t know how much oil would drop if it were obvious and we were SEEN to be doing truly everything it was possible to do to INCREASE the supplies of oil we have. I DO KNOW that when Bush acted after Katrina, the speculated futures prices reflected his actions IMMEDIATELY.
This president has completely mismanaged the USA.
COMPLETELY

Epa,
I hope you know that America does not merely have 2% of the world's known oil reserves.
That is an absolute bullshit statistic that Obama pulled out of his ass, complete with diarrhea grease.
America has four times as much oil as Saudi Arabia in Montana and South Dakota alone.
We have twice as much oil as Saudi Arabia in Colorado.
This is not mentioning off-shore oil, which you mention, it is not mentioning Alaska, it is not mentioning the large amount of oil reserves we have in many other places across the United States.
It is a mistake to allow Obama to set the parameters of this argument. You have to fact-check every bit of what the guy says.
ON THIS SUBJECT HE IS A LIAR THROUGH AND THROUGH.
In the past 10 years, we have gone from importing half our oil, to a place where Goldman Sachs predicts that the USA will be a NET EXPORTER OF OIL BY 2017.
Obama is a fucking liar, and it might be true that not only is he willing to lie, but perhaps he knows nothing as well.
I hate the little coprophialia-breathed motherfucker.
Why isn't the GOP calling BHO out on this???
