Man, can some people be so naive and disinterested in research

I found this topic on the leftist Captain Comics site where, in a discussion on Christian imagery in DC Comics, some ignoramus says:

Both Judaism and Islam recognize Jesus as a prophet so His appearance, helping the Ghost Rider free himself from Satan, wouldn't be considered sacreligious.

What an uninformed POV. What can be said is that Judaism respects the legitimacy of Christianity, but it's not like the Torah even gets into the whole issue of Jesus, since by that time, it was a completed affair.

But what does the Koran say about Christians and Jews? It says:

Qur'an (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

I just don't understand why, if anybody thinks Islam and the Koran is legit, they won't research any verses or discuss them either. No religion that speaks so sickly of Judeo-Christianity can be considered one that recognizes Jesus as a prophet.
