The somewhat 'hidden' prices on the site can fantastically incorrect.

For instance.... I would have to browse premiums as a 50 year old.

In my area, the site's back end DB at :
DATA.HEALTHCARE.GOV shows my county's gold premium to be $675/month.
If I look at the insurance company's actual info site, for Maine it's $1058, but they do not break that further by state area, r by age factor. The state of Maine DOES however. And it is from there that the mind blowing $3707/month emerges.

But if you COULD browse plans .. you would come away thinking 'well that's bad but not terrible'.

This is not a mistake on the govt's part.

They don't want to compound the utter failure of this roll out with the sticker shock yielding a near violent response due from the economic betrayal this is.

BET THE RANCH ON IT.

Anyway... you can't really get that far unless you poke your nose WAY WAY WAY into the DB, the inruance company sites and your state information.

This whole thing is a demonstration that the govt can't do anything, and doesn't even know it can't do anything.

Those who serve in the govt should be the MOST outraged.

Are they?

According to the chart -- and I did find the plan that I have -- my premium would go up over $100/month. That's a 50%+ hike.

And HERE is something else....What if your provider network is severely limited? Every health insurance plan underwritten over the past several years clearly states that providers and provider networks can change without notice.

AoW .. the AGE factor is only below or over 50. If oyu are over 50 there is a different premium FOR EVERY YEAR OLDER. The prices are NOT the prices.
