Man shot dead, two counter-terrorism officers stabbed outside Endeavour Hills police station
TEEN terror suspect under investigation for making threats against Prime Minister Tony Abbott was shot dead by police last night after stabbing a Victorian police officer and a federal police agent.

The injured officers are both in hospital in a stable condition.

It is understood the 18-year-old man, who was under surveillance for making threats against Mr Abbott, was met by police outside the Endeavour Hills police station, in Melbourne’s southeast, about 7.45pm.

The Victoria Police officer and the Australian Federal Police agent, both from the Joint Counter Terrorism Team, pulled over a car outside the police station to question him in relation to the threats. But they were stabbed after an altercation.

Senior intelligence sources confirmed that the terrorism suspect had been among a number of people whose passports were recently cancelled.
