Let's look at that banner up close:
In case you can't read the words it says "Join us to Pray for the Suffering Christians in the Middle East." Though out New York and New Jersey, where we live and work, we've seen nothing like this. We've seen banners announcing Christian-Muslim dialogs, several about Palestinians, but not one about the slaughter of Christians in the Middle East. Shocking ... and sad.

Well, at least some Christians are beginning to be aware of the problem.
Oh cool. My home town!
Yes, still some traditional sentiment here. Unfortunately a closet leftist mayor-for-life and an invasion of "illegal immigrants" from the north are threatening our very way of life.
Give it another decade and Charleston will be another Berkeley.
Jason!
So wonderful to see you posting here.
Some churches are finally paying attention and holding special prayer sessions. It's way past time.
AOW, Pastorius, Epi, and all, great to stop by and see the blog is going strong. Best wishes.
Anonymous, yes the charms might encourage those with different values to move in but I still sense a local pride that might resist the onslaught.
