He was a small boy working on a farm (someone else’s) near what is today the Belarus border and was then a Czarist Russian dominated Polish population. The people were getting a bit uppity, especially the farmers, an independent lot.
So in come the cossacks to destroy everything, just not the way you think.
No one was hurt. They came to the farm, quartered their soldiers, and their horses, and ate the family out of every single little morsel of food for them, and feed grain for their farm animals until it was all gone, and then moved on.
The little thing?
When they found out my grandfather just toiled there, and lived in the barn, the Cossacks, who would under any other circumstance charge back and forth thru his shtetl until it was acceptably raped, murdered and in all ways rendered uninhabitable, made sure he ATE WITH THEM and was full.
It was that act, he said which told him they were going to destroy the farmers, perhaps KILL them if this did not work. Indeed, when he told the farmer, they made plans to get the family away. Here, in fact.
So now, what little thing informs us?
We look to Barack Obama. His recent signing (actually not, just an imperial memorandum) of the no deport for illegal immigrants, in effect making up laws set up the big argument as an indicator to his self arrogation of power, and his desire and RIGHT to do so, because he says so. It is his ROLE. He know it.
Other say, ‘BAH, every prez does this’
So what is the little thing?

The United States and everything in it is his, to be used as he sees fit.
We ought to be grateful when he sees fit to share a few morsels with us.
Well, at least the schmuck in chief called the couple during the wedding, apologizing profusely, claiming the White House didn't know about it until afterward and offering congrats and generally chit chatting.
Easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission...
What Americans do not understand, is that Obama is a product of the Third World. He spent his formative years in Indonesia. The varnish he received in subsequent years, while attending Ivy League schools, is nothing but that: varnish. His core is Third World, where leaders do as they wish, and the law is no obstruction to your whims.
Those of us who come from that world, have no problem identifying the core values of the individual.
And also those close to him in his childhood and youth, despised American values ... What could we expect from him? I saw it as soon as he demolished the first couple of the land. The following six years were nothing but confirmation of my worse fears.
