Police in London are investigating a possible shooting incident earlier today at a kosher restaurant in Edgware, a heavily Jewish suburb in the north-west of the city. No-one was hurt in the incident, which left the windows of Orli’s cafe badly damaged.
Officials of the Community Security Trust, the communal security body of British Jews, were also on the scene, the Jewish Chronicle reported. Eyewitness accounts posted on Twitter initially suggested shots had been fired from a car driving past Orli’s.
According to the CST, it is “not clear what type of weapon used.” There are some reports that the damage was caused by marbles, and not live ammunition.
