... we were a small crowd of about a hundred at the Breckers' Seventh Avenue South club in NYC, April '81. Jaco's quintet included Michael Brecker, Peter Erskine, Don Alias and Bob Mintzer. This clip is an unaccompanied bass solo he took midway through the show.

Thanks for sharing! I was there that night too. No recording though. I lived down the block on Bedford Street. My memory of the evening is a bit different though. Jaco seemed bored and agitated. Jumped around the stage playing keyboards and drums, occasionally the bass. I came to listen to him play bass. Glad to have this recording to appreciate his true talent.
