NOT because Trump signed it because, let's face it, what does he have to lose if he breaks the pledge.
No, it's embarrassing that Reince Priebus and the RNC felt compelled to do this at all.
Is this really what the American Political system has fallen to?
I mean for God's Sake a fill in the blank I Promise To Be A Good Boy piece of paper? It looks like something they picked up in the novelty section of Wally World.
Or Spencer Gifts.
Priebus is acting like an inefficacious school marm telling naughty Donny not to be a bully and play nice with the quivering sniveling indolent golden child Jeb and the rest of his friends.
C'mon now, Donny, you've had your turn now let Jeb win.
This is chicken shit.
Jesus they all deserve to be run out of town and flipping burgers at McD's.

Update/quick note...
I'm sure it was just a slip up on his part and nothing nefarious but Trump dated his signature on the pledge August 3/15.
Today is September 3...
And the "powers that be" didn't catch that?

Glad you wrote this. I was thinking the same thing.
He should have told Priebus he wanted them to be "blood brothers' and say double swearsies and all that shit too.
His name is not TRUMP for nothin'.

1.
(in bridge, whist, and similar card games) a playing card of the suit chosen to rank above the others, which can win a trick where a card of a different suit has been led.
verb
1.
(in bridge, whist, and similar card games) play a trump on (a card of another suit), having no cards of the suit led.
Wait a minute!
Trump dated it Augusr 3?
Mr. AOW signs documents, but I date them because of his stroke: it takes Mr. AOW forever to write something.
Whoever printed Trump's name dated that paper, IMO. Look at the block letters.
All the GOP candidates signed, right? So, if he wins the primaries, they have to support him. They must be counting on his not winning.
AOW, what's the big deal about the date, in your opinion?

Wait, What now? Trump is looking for a trick? What?
As far as I am concerned I now demand they make a spectacle of all the other RNC morons signing the same pledge! I demand we see them ALL holding up their little I Promise To Be A Good Boy Or Mr Priebus Can Take A Paddle With Holes In It To My Bare Behind cards. FULL DISCLOSUE!
AoW -- I actually don't know who penned the cards, only the discrepancy. In other pictures from the same event he is holding the card unsigned and undated.
Pasto -- the only thing about the date I can think of is that it makes it "void" and "unenforceable" (if it were a contract).
As the business mogul he is Trump would know that.
He could really be fucking with political dweebs here but I think it was just an oversight.
I don't know that there is a big deal about the date. But it is strange. I don't know of any high-powered businessmen who would make a mistake like that.
However, I heard Christie say, "I signed the pledge on September 3, 2015." It's strange that Christie said that, the way that he did.
BTW, legally, if the date is wrong, the document isn't binding. Not that this is a legally binding document in the first place!
I hear the "pundits" saying that Trump's signing this is a victory for the RNC. A clown "certificate" like that is a victory? Gimme a break!
Trump signed a new pledge with the correct date.
"I hear the "pundits" saying that Trump's signing this is a victory for the RNC."
The "pundits" said his campaign was over when he made a comment about Kelly bleeding. Then according to them it was over once again when he kicked out that moron from his press conference.
Pundits would have called it a win for the RNC if Trump hadn't signed it. Then it would have been a huge win for the RNC because they would have had the ammo to use against Trump during the debate.
I think its a YOOOGE win for Trump. Not only did the RNC chairman personally go to him, he got to tell the media that he got exactly what he wanted, that the RNC treat him fairly. AND he managed to take that away from the next debate leaving nothing in the hands of the RNC to attack him with.
He's also winning in all the polls so signing this worthless document that the RNC is trying to use hoping Trump would lose and would have to support the RNC no matter what is probably going to come and bite them in the @$$ if/when Trump wins the nomination.
I don't know how long this support for Trump is going to last but so far he's defeated every single opponent that he's taken on. This move also seems like a win for him.
