Bill Maher Blames Radical Islam For Mass Sexual Assaults in Germany

This a very interesting video. Some observations:

1) Cornel West does the standard, "not all Muslims" disclaimer, but then implicitly admits there is a problem with Islam by stepping aside and allowing Maher to take it from there, not offering any argument to the contrary.

2) Ralph Reed is very eloquent, speaking of the very real sadness of the plight of many people attempting to flee the wars of ISIS. However, Reed also comments, "This is beginning to look like the Martee Boatlift (I'm quite sure he is referring to the Mariel Boatlift)."

3) And then to top it off, Maher notes that, while there is an apparent commonality between the circumstances of the Mariel boatlift, the Muslim refugees fleeing Syria are not mere criminals, but are, instead, carriers of a specific virulent ideology which leaves destruction in it's wake wherever it goes, saying,

"It's not a criminal element, unless you are prepared to indict the entire society as criminal ... (Given the realities of Sharia Law, and Muslim support of it) these are not criminal activities in the Muslim society, these are (manifestations of Sharia law) ..."

And then, after that, we are treated to the stunning sight spectacle of witnessing Ralph Reed and Cornel West argue against Bill Maher, making essentially the same point,

Moderate Muslims ... blah ... blah ... blah ...

Idiocy makes for strange bedfellows, I guess.

Ralph Reed, "eloquent"? Gag me....ugh...not in my book, that pencil-neck is an Islamophilic panderer for the Chamber of Commerce.
West is a comic book character...insisting on the nuance of generational muslim coexistence. B.S.! The older generations established the ZUS and European no-go zones that currently are expanding at ever alarming rates. Are there non-violent muslims residing in those enclaves? Sure...but they remain no-go enclaves - an intolerable situation if there should remain any peace within the European continent.
Maher's persistent stance on the dangers of Islam is admirable -(can hardly believe I find anything about Maher admirable, but there you have it!) - giving pause to consider whether his days of influence are numbered.

My disagreements with a person do not preclude me from recognizing that they might have some positive qualities.

As in..."moderate muslims" have some positive qualities?
I don't deny that either. However, both instances prove quite an undeniable threat to Western culture, the middle class & Judeo-Christian traditions/values.

Yes, you are right.

I guess, I ought to put it this way:

My definition of eloquence is the ability to make distinctions, especially on the fly.

Endless distinctions made in the interest of obfuscation are sheer rhetoric in the service of bombast and end up leaving the person look like a buffoon; like Obama.
