"He had found religion"

All the signs were there. Those that knew Rahami saw the emergence of a devout Muslim. The New York Post has the details in an article titled "Bombing suspect is a US-hating homophobe: baby mama."
Rahami "raged against gays, the military and American culture, his high school sweetheart revealed on Monday. ... Rahami made numerous trips to terror hotbeds Afghanistan and Pakistan in the last 10 years, according to Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.).

He became noticeably devout after returning from a visit to his homeland two years ago, friends and law enforcement sources said.

“He had changed. He dressed differently, more religiously, the robe and everything,” Flee Jones, 27, a childhood pal of Rahami, told The Post.

“I really never expected it from him. He was always this fun loving guy, but now he was all quiet. He had found religion. It’s mind blowing.”
Even his customers noticed.
When business was slow, he would often pull out his Koran and play Middle Eastern music, said customer Brayant Ocampo, 17.

“One day I asked him about it and he said it’s like a bible for our religion,” Ocampo recalled. “He was into his religion.” ... He said Ahmad Rahami and a couple of other restaurant workers stopped talking to him entirely when his Israeli heritage came up during a conversation three years ago.

“The first thing I did after I talked to them is I went to check my car underneath…I went to check for a bomb,” he said.
Years of being lectured by Obama and the media about how "Islamophobia" is the real threat, has taken its toll. It's 9/10 again.

NYT: Ahmad Khan Rahami’s Father Told Police in 2014 His Son Was a Terrorist, Officials Say

Via angleNews:
^Ahmad Khan Rahami’s father, Mohammad Sr, claims he had no idea about his son’s bombing plots
^It has also been revealed that Rahami’s mom and wife left the country just days before the attacks

While officials say early signs indicate a lone wolf attack, the behavior of the suspected terrorist’s family members in the days leading up to the attacks suggest he may have told relatives of the plot.

In fact, both Rahami’s mother and Pakistani-born wife left for the Middle East just days before the bombings in Seaside Park, New Jersey and New York City, and the foiled plot in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

^The Los Angeles Times reports Rahami’s wife left for Pakistan just days before the bombings, and was stopped by officials in the United Arab Emirates, a popular stopover for flights between the U.S. and the Middle East. It’s still unclear whether she was allowed to travel on to Pakistan, was held in the UAE or returned to the U.S.

^NYDailyNews: "His wife, whose name has not been revealed, was able to enter the country but left the U.S. just days before the terrorist attacks her husband is suspected of carrying out. His mother, Najiba Rahami, left the country for Turkey three weeks before the bombings and has yet to return, a U.S. official told ABC News.

"FBI agents arrested five men who may be connected to Saturday’s bombing in Chelsea after stopping their car in Brooklyn, sources said.

The men were heading over the Verrazano Bridge from Staten Island when they were stopped Sunday night. Sources said the FBI suspected the men may have had a role in the bombing and were questioning them at the FBI headquarters in Manhattan.

It is believed the men, who live in New Jersey, were heading to the airport when they were busted.
Also note: The Chelsea bombing in Manhattan this weekend...the standard report suggested the target was a residence for the blind. What isn't mentioned in media is

^JAWA: Explosion took place at a small Shop called King David Gallery...the owners are Israeli.

Jason,
Great to see you posting here.

"He had found religion" -- not Christianity, not Buddhism, not Judaism. Islam!

Islam is the trigger for violence. It's in the Quran.

All the signs were there.

Indeed. "The perfect storm."
