From Jihad Watch:
A Cameroonian immigrant has been put on trial in Spain for the murder of six fellow occupants of a flimsy migrant boat because of their Christian religious beliefs.
Survivors of the hellish 2014 crossing from Morocco to the southern shore of Spain described how the accused, the Muslim captain of the inflatable craft identified as Alain N. B., blamed Christian passengers for the onset of a storm and forced six men off the boat to a certain death.
According to some of the 29 survivors from the more than 50 sub-Saharan migrants who boarded the boat near Nador, northern Morocco, the accused “blamed the rough seas which were rocking the boat on the prayers led by a Catholic pastor on board”.
Witnesses told investigators that the captain and his second in command, another Cameroonian man who died in Spain before the trial began, “believed that the weather worsened every time the victims prayed”.
According to testimony, the two Cameroonians used planks of wood they ripped from the rigid structure of the boat to beat the Nigerian pastor.
“They badly wounded him before throwing him overboard”, the public prosecutor wrote before the start of the trial in Almería.
The two men searched passengers for amulets or Christian symbols concealed under their clothing and similarly attacked at least five other migrants, all of whom are assumed to have drowned.
According to the prosecution, Alain N. B. “was aware that the victims could not possibly survive and that they would die, either by drowning, from the cold, or from the physical injuries they had suffered. He was aware of the low temperature, the rough seas and the great distance from the coast and the absence of any nearby boats which could rescue them”.
The prosecutor has asked for six separate terms of 15 years for murder with the aggravating factor of “religious motivation”, amounting to a 90-year sentence.
Only one body which may have belonged to a victim was found washed ashore. On December 5, 2014, sea-rescue services in Almería found 29 survivors on board the 10-metre-long inflatable craft drifting without a motor.
At least 21 people had perished during the crossing which had been hit by high winds and rough seas, including some seven babies whose mothers had been unable to hold onto their bundles….

PJMedia: KNOWN WOLF, AGAIN: As Usual, NY-NJ Bomber Rahami Was Already Known to Authorities In July, Oklahoma Senator Jim Lankford announced he would be launching a six-month probe of intelligence failures in terrorism cases. He particularly would focus on those cases where suspects had already been investigated by law enforcement authorities. Multiple media reports now indicate that Rahami was indeed flagged by the FBI back in 2014.
NYT: Ahmad Khan Rahami’s Father Told Police in 2014 His Son Was a Terrorist, Officials Say
Via angleNews:
#Ahmad Khan Rahami’s father, Mohammad Sr, claims he had no idea about his son’s bombing plots
#It has also been revealed that Rahami’s mom and wife left the country just days before the attacks
While officials say early signs indicate a lone wolf attack, the behavior of the suspected terrorist’s family members in the days leading up to the attacks suggest he may have told relatives of the plot.
In fact, both Rahami’s mother and Pakistani-born wife left for the Middle East just days before the bombings in Seaside Park, New Jersey and New York City, and the foiled plot in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
#The Los Angeles Times reports Rahami’s wife left for Pakistan just days before the bombings, and was stopped by officials in the United Arab Emirates, a popular stopover for flights between the U.S. and the Middle East. It’s still unclear whether she was allowed to travel on to Pakistan, was held in the UAE or returned to the U.S.
#NYDailyNews: "His wife, whose name has not been revealed, was able to enter the country but left the U.S. just days before the terrorist attacks her husband is suspected of carrying out. His mother, Najiba Rahami, left the country for Turkey three weeks before the bombings and has yet to return, a U.S. official told ABC News.

"FBI agents arrested five men who may be connected to Saturday’s bombing in Chelsea after stopping their car in Brooklyn, sources said.
The men were heading over the Verrazano Bridge from Staten Island when they were stopped Sunday night. Sources said the FBI suspected the men may have had a role in the bombing and were questioning them at the FBI headquarters in Manhattan.
It is believed the men, who live in New Jersey, were heading to the airport when they were busted.
Also note: The Chelsea bombing in Manhattan this weekend...the standard report suggested the target was a residence for the blind. What isn't mentioned in media is

Benning,
I agree that punishment -- if any -- will not fit the crime.
