The Smearing of Sebastian Gorka

Sebastian Gorka, author of Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War, is one of Trump’s Deputy Assistants, and an outspoken advocate of the role of Islam in the jihadi movement. In the last two weeks the MSM has led an assault on his character and credentials. A quick look at Gorka’s Wikipedia article, where the war against Gorka is being waged, documents that attacks made mostly by establishment hacks who are being drained from the swamp. Read the Wikipedia article for the standard smear.

I want to direct your attention to the Times article by Steven Simon and Daniel Benjamin. Both were part of Bill Clinton’s administration and consultant to the Hillary Clinton campaign. They, of course, didn’t get the job. Gorka did.

Benjamin and Simon wrote the classic book, “The Age of Sacred Terror: Radical Islam's War Against America.” According to Wikipedia, it “documents the rise of al Qaeda and religiously motivated terrorism, as well as America's efforts to combat that threat. They review the history of Islamist political thought from ibn Taymiyya in the 13th century, to al-Wahhab (the 18th century founder of Wahabbism) down to bin Laden. The danger, as they see it, is that ‘al Qaeda's belief system cannot be separated neatly from Islamic teachings, because it has -- selectively and perniciously -- built on fundamental Islamic ideas and principles.’”

In the Times article they simultaneously attack Gorka for seeing Islam as part of the problem and taking credit for doing it first. They review how prior to Bush they had talked about the role of the religion and they conclude “The suggestion that Mr. Gorka brings new insight is self-gratifying, grandiose malarkey.”

So what’s their beef with Gorka? In the Wikipedia talk page one editor noted: “If Gorka and the authors both see Islam as a factor in jihadi dynamics, what makes Gorka’s approach Islamophobic in the authors’ mind? … They point to Gorka’s statements that other factors are irrelevant. Early in the article they say he dismisses factors “… like poor governance, repression, poverty and war. ‘This is the famous approach that says it is all so nuanced and complicated,’ Mr. Gorka recently told The Washington Post. ‘This is what I completely jettison.’" To this, Benjamin and Simon reply “… an abundance of scholarship on jihadists is that religious doctrine is not their sole or even primary driver. The issues that Mr. Gorka so defiantly ‘jettisons’ actually do play a role.’”

They have become politically correct because that’s the only way they can stay in the business. After writing a book call “The Age of Sacred Terror” they have retreated to a notion that Islam is not “even a primary driver.” The swamp has consumed even the best writers on the left.

Trump is draining the swamp. And the swamp is fighting back!

Sayyid Qutb’s wrote an important book “Milestones” that everyone should read. Available in PDF here:

https://islamfuture.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/milestones-special-edition.pdf

Qutb was so dangerous to the civil order in Egypt because he found an especially effective way to tell Muslims that in order to get into Muslim Heaven they must obey everything that the Koran demands, that is primarily to be violent against the enemies of Islam.

Qutb was eventually executed by the Egyptian government. The self-deluded useful idiots of western progressivism will adopt any view except the truth about Islam. That truth is that Islam is a religion only about one thing: the requirement for everyone on earth to submit it it. At this moment Muslims are useful to western progressives as victims with which to dilute the power of post-Christian western culture. Progressives think that they will always be in power and thus always in a superior position relative to Muslims in the west. Little do they realize how vicious Muslims will be towards progressives the instant they get sufficient votes or sufficient mass.

Islam intends to conquer us by whatever means necessary, and as Islam grows in power there will be no end of people who believe what Sayyid Qutb has told them: that best way to assure their eternal reward is by killing as many unbelievers as possible.

Jihad has nothing to do with Islam only when a secular progressive redefines Islam. Good luck with that.

Quoting, Dr. Sebastian Gorka ff 14:21@ Heritage Foundation:
"When you do your intelligence preparations for the battlefield, you start with what the enemy calls themselves. You are not permitted to make up your own labels. You wouldn't call the Soviet Union 'misguided democrats', now would you? "

*****
Dr. Sebastian Gorka is certainly a big improvement over the advice received and taken by the prior administration. However, I'd be far more satisfied to see President Trump bring on Stephen Coughlin as well.

Of course, the swamp is fighting back!

When the swamp's reins of power are threatened, the swamp knows that their very existence is gravely threatened.

PS: Jason, wonderful to see you posting again, my friend.

Benjamin and Simon are engaged in the usual journalistic auto-erotic asphyxiation. Heights of pleasure with a bag over the head and brain cells with hypoxia. Works every time.

Look at me! Look at me! I am the global expert on jihad! Probably not. With millions of volumes of work on Islam secured within our international libraries we all contribute our small part. Humbly. With gratitude that we are allowed to be a part of the discourse.

Using my own work as a tool to discredit the work of another is a cheap shot. I try not to do that.

Are the problems enormous? Yep. Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin baz, the Mufti of Saudi Arabia had this to say, almost eighteen years ago:

"... we have to remain watchful like a hawk to preserve our heritage..."

The hawk is in the air. The wingspan is good.

In a chilling 14 August 2014 letter to Lisa O. Monaco, Homeland Security and Counterterrorism advisor at the National Security Council (NSC), reminiscent of the Red Chinese and Soviet gulags, a group of 75 signatories urged the Obama administration to “implement a mandatory retraining program for all federal, state, and local law enforcement officers” who have been exposed to “anti-Muslim” training.

Former FBI counter-terrorism Special Agent, former head of the FBI SWAT team and former combat Marine John Guandolo– a member of the Center for Security Policy (CSP) Team B IIand Founder of Understanding the Threat— was singled out for particular criticism, as was FBI analyst William Gawthrop.

Among the signatories to the letter are CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations, the U.S. HAMAS wing), the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC), which includes Helping Hand for Relief & Development USA, the charitable wing of Muslim Brotherhood front group, Islamic Circle of North America), the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), and the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA), whose Executive Committee includes the likes of Siraj Wahhaj (named an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing)....

And this is the reason for their hatred of FBI analyst William Gawthrop:

Love that last line.

Most of the viciousness and malevolence directed at Trump is exactly that; the Swamp fighting back.

CNN is not part of the government. But it is, as Wikileaks proved, a wing of the DNC. Likewise, much of the NYT.

Their anger at Trump is "the swamp fighting back" in a sense.
