Eye witnesses report that victims were receiving CPR after being 'stabbed'
LONDON Bridge has been evacuated amid reports of a van mowing down pedestrians, victims being stabbed and shots being fired.
Armed police are at the scene while people have been seen fleeing the central London landmark near Borough Market yards from The Sun offices.
Eye witnesses confirm that several people are lying on the ground and are receiving CPR after being stabbed while a bomb squad has arrived on the scene.
Several gun shots have been fired amid the ensuing chaos.
A Sun journalist at the scene tweeted that he saw one man being led away by police in cuffs.
There have been reports of two to three men armed with knives stabbing people at random.
The white van which reportedly crashed into pedestrians was said to be travelling at around 50mph.
In horrifying footage taken from the scene, police can be heard shouting "clear the area, now" while screaming people can be seen running in fear for their lives.
Police are responding to reports that a van has hit a number of pedestrians on London Bridge in central London. Witnesses have said that armed officers are understood to be at the scene after a white van mounted the pavement before driving into people.
The Metropolitan Police say they are dealing with an incident on the bridge.
Transport for London said the bridge has been closed in both directions due to a "major police incident". Bus routes were being diverted.
BBC reporter Holly Jones, who was on the bridge at the time of the incident, said the van was driven by a man and was "probably travelling at about 50 miles an hour".
About five people were being treated for injuries after the vehicle mounted the pavement and hit them, she said. She said the van, which was travelling from the direction of central London, headed towards the south side of the river.
Ms Jones later reported seeing a man being arrested by police. She said he was handcuffed and had his shirt off.
OH, AND BY THE WAY:

The near beheading of Fusilier Lee Rigby occurred in South London on May 22, 2013.

And here we are four years later.

Vehicular jihad and at least one stabbing on Westminster Bridge March 22, 2017.

And now, London Bridge.

Nothing to do with Islam, of course. **spit**
