Government Healthcare

Hospital Refuses To Let Parents Take Charlie Gard Home To Die

They didn't want to let him get treatment outside the system.

And now they won't let him die outside the system.

There could be other reasons. The parents live-streaming their child's death, comes to mind.

The child will be able to die with dignity, in the arms of those who love him.

He should not be reduced to an emblem.

let's have single payer, tho..that way the same KIND of people who tell a wyoming family they can't have small pond on their 2000 acre ranch, will decide what treatment you deserve when you or a fam member is catastrophically ill

TLEP,

Where's the evidence that they would do so?

Your supposition begs the question: what rights do parents have to decide end-of-life matters for their child>

Charlie is their baby, and the parents should have the right to take him home.

I am inherently suspicious of the medical industry. I've done battle with them. After all, if the bureaucrats there had had their way back in 2008 when the nursing home people swore up and down that Mr. AOW could not safely go home, he would be in a nursing home -- and I'd be bankrupt and living in government-assisted housing.
