Pope Francis: You Know, Accusations About Pedophilia and Cover-Ups Are Really the Work of the "Great Accuser," Satan, Misquotes Bible To Make His Case
"In these times, it seems like the 'Great Accuser' has been unchained and is attacking bishops. True, we are all sinners, we bishops. He tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people. The 'Great Accuser', as he himself says to God in the first chapter of the Book of Job, 'roams the earth looking for someone to accuse'. A bishop's strength against the 'Great Accuser' is prayer, that of Jesus and his own, and the humility of being chosen and remaining close to the people of God, without seeking an aristocratic life that removes this unction. Let us pray, today, for our bishops: for me, for those who are here, and for all the bishops throughout the world."Here's what the Book of Job really says:
One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them. 7
The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” 8
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” 9
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” 12
The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.Notice Satan did not say he roamed the Earth looking for someone to accuse, nor did he did not accuse Job to scandalize the people, but to change God's mind about one of God's favorite people.
The Book of Revelation does call Satan an accuser.
Got Questions discusses the question of why Satan is sometimes called "The Great Accuser:":
The book of Revelation:
"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: ‘Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down’” (Revelation 12:10).
Satan is relentless in his accusations—he accuses God’s children continually. He hates God and all that God is, which means he also hates God’s mercy and forgiveness extended to sinful humanity.
Satan the accuser stands before God in an attempt to somehow lessen God’s love or diminish God’s mercy.
Fortunately, his accusations against us fall on deaf ears:
“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies” (Romans 8:33).
Salvation belongs to the Lord, and His justification cannot be reversed. God is greater than our accuser.I have to wonder if the Pope even knows the Bible.
Is he so ignorant of Scripture that he would misquote it publicly on such an important issue?
Or is he just working overtime to cover up Priest Pedophilia?

I ascribe no good motives to this Pope.
He is totally distorting the scripture, as it says in I Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”. I think this verse accurately describes the pedo priests and the shit they do to children. I told my brother once that the catholic church is a satanic organization and Frances' gibberish here proves it!!
It occurred to me after I posted, that what he is essentially doing with these public pronouncements is transferring blame and guilt from the clergy to the victims, and calling the victims satan, i.e. victim accusations=satan the accuser. It's an inversion of reality. This dude is either really diabolical or really confused.
Yes. Good point, Morpheus. Absolutely an inversion.
