The New York Times, meanwhile, absolutely covered itself in glory, stating that the murder of Americans by Mexicans "highlights the long history of religious fundamentalist settlers in the region."

In other words: What were these white colonizers even doing in Mexico in the first place, besides begging for some racial retribution? All praise the media. They're heroes and they're the only people in America deserving of free speech rights, because they obviously know best how to use it.
