University of Kansas offering course called ‘Angry White Male Studies’
A course called “Angry White Male Studies” will be offered starting in Fall 2022, and hopes to seek insight into the rise of angry white males, according to Campus Reform.
“This course charts the rise of the ‘angry white male’ in America and Britain since the 1950s, exploring the deeper sources of this emotional state while evaluating recent manifestations of male anger,” the course description says.
The description has a picture of Brad Pitt in the film Fight Club up top.
The course will be taught by Christopher Forth, who is a professor of history, serving in the departments of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and American Studies.
Forth will seek to teach “Where does (the angry white male) come from? What’s he angry about? Is his anger misplaced? Is he blaming the right people? How long has this been going on? Is he a global phenomenon?"

It also states “we’re all angry these days, or supposed to be, and encouraged on a daily basis to become angrier still. It’s sometimes said that white men are the angriest of all, that they feel aggrieved and unable to adjust to changing realities of gender and race for fear of losing their privilege.”
