Star Alabama basketball talent Caleb White dead at 17 after collapsing during an on-court workout at Pinson Valley High School

Caleb White, an Alabama high school basketball star, has died after he reportedly collapsed during a workout at school. The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at a local hospital Thursday, according to multiple reports. 

White was a three-star prospect and averaged 20.9 points, 3.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. 

The cause of death is currently unknown, however AL.com reports an autopsy will be performed Friday to determine it. 

White was said to have collapsed during a workout with his team at Pinson Valley High School Thursday before he was taken to St. Vincent's East hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
