Tucker Carlson makes a good case for interviewing Vladimir Putin. But I have seen many on the right, as well as the left, over the years, who, because of their opposition to war, begin to glorify Putin ... which makes no sense whatsoever. Redacted, for instance, seems to love Putin. They take Putin's side on every issue. Why I'm interviewing Vladimir Putin. pic.twitter.com/hqvXUZqvHX

Biden, on the other hand, loves Ukraine. I am not sure why, exactly. I think, perhaps, it is because he and many other American politicians can get away with things, via Unkraine, they couldn't get away with elsewhere, simply because Americans don't know about Ukraine, and ultimately, don't care about Ukraine. (Yes, I am thinking of those of you who post Ukraine flags on your Instagram feeds.)

I believe it is errant policy not to seek out interviews with any individual who has tremendous capability to affect the course of the world. Get a person talking, and you learn something.
We might have learned something already. Tucker Carlson was taken to a production of "Spartacus".
Shoot me now! I thought Trump was Spartacus. I guess Putin takes the profile. smile
But it begs the question: Was the Spartacus production planned especially for Tucker Carlson? It is definitely power projection.
Barbara Walters chose to take her journalism to China. That certainly broke a glass ceiling.
My problem is not the interview. My problem is the lack of condemnation for Putin.
