The abortion lobby has been telling one spectacular lie after another since it's inception in the 1960s. (Don't take my word for it. Bernard Nathanson, MD, a founding father of the movement who personally performed thousands of abortions, spilled the beans after his defection.) 

They're at it again, claiming falsely that pro-life laws forbid procedures to save women's lives in cases of ectopic pregnancy. 

As Ryan Anderson has pointed out, "earlier this month ProPublica tried to blame prolife states post-Dobbs for a big recent increase in ectopic pregnancy deaths." 

Ryan continues: @Mr_Jamie_B_Hall accessed the underlying CDC data, and it tells a very different story: 

The big jump in ectopic-related deaths occurs a year before Dobbs. So hard to pin it on Dobbs. It occurs in both pro-life and pro-abortion states. Though it is higher in pro-life states. 

What could the explanation be? 

The big jump occurs right after the removal of the last remaining in-person safeguard for the abortion pill, and women in pro-life states probably purchased online mail-order abortion pills at higher rates than in pro-abortion states. 

Hence the jump occurring when and where and at the rates it did. The removal of the in-person dispensing requirement for the abortion pill, not Dobbs, is most likely to blame.
