GAS PRICES AND REPUBLICAN DEFEAT

 

It is pretty firmly established that gas prices drove votes.

Note that in the below graph, the price of gas is inverted so that high prices are represented by the line going down and low prices are shown by the line going up.

It is done this way to show the very close alignment with Trump's approval rate. As the price of gas goes up, Trump's approval goes down.

NOT QUITE THIS SIMPLE IN MY OPINION.

BUT THE EVIDENCE CAN NOT BE IGNORED.

I THINK TRUMP'S NEGOTIATIONS WITH IRAN MADE HIM LOOK LIKE A FOOL. 

AND THE ON AGAIN OFF AGAIN NATURE OF THE WAR ON IRAN MADE IT LOOK LIKE IT WAS NEVER GOING TO END ...

... YOU KNOW, LIKE IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.
