A response to Ms. D

Despite our obscurity here at our divisive, racist, hate-mongering Islamophobic blog, despite being blocked by Muslim governments in the UAE, Malaysia and probably elsewhere, occasionally the Mohammedans find us and leave us comments. And that's where the real fun is, for that's when they share with all of us their full-frontal cognitive dissonance. A lack of critical thinking is something of an Islamic trait.
One such commenter, named 'Deeva', recently left a comment at one of our most remarked-upon pieces, 'Why do people convert to Islam' which was first posted way back in March 2006. Her lengthy comment below, in italics, deserves a thorough, point-by-point debunking.
Deeva has no number two on her list, but never mind. Our Muslim friend would like us to believe that 'jihad' is as innocuous as helping Granny cross the street. Where could we infidels get the quaint notion that Jihad means holy war? Oh yeah, from the Muslims themselves, as well as their own religious teachings, put this beyond a shred of doubt.
Argue about something else? As you yourself say, how does this personally affect you, Deeva? Apparently Deeva believes, as all devout Muslims do, that their belief system should be beyond all questioning and scrutiny. She doesn't bother explaining why this must be so, because to wonder about anything is beyond argument is in itself heresy if not apostasy (disbelief). In Islam, the greatest crime is not murder, but skepticism and disbelief.
Yes, questioning Islam is torment, of course. Anyways, you were saying that Jesus is a prophet of Islam? This is patently ridiculous, as Jesus taught people that they should love their enemies. When was the last time anyone taught this concept in a mosque or madrassah? And the Quran, something I've read in a language I understand and something this 'Deeva' almost certainly hasn't, is all about fighting the 'enemies of Islam'. Besides, the only 'prophet' this blog has ever gone on at length about is the sole prophet is Islam, Mr. Mo himself. Without Mo there would be no belief system known as Islam.
So, by this logic, if anger for Islam is doing Islam such an alleged service, why do you so strenuously object to what we write about? Just a minute ago you said that I should never ever criticize Islam. Now, all of a sudden, it's ok?
Muslims think my own religious views, religion or lack thereof are somehow relevant. How or why this is, is of course not explained. Heck, why not accuse me of being a Jew? Everybody knows that everything bad that happens to Islam or Muslims is the fault of the Jews.
These dhimmified people that Deeva knows, assuming they are real, are free to comment here as much as they want and to their hearts' content. As if the beliefs of a misguided non Muslim are somehow more credible than yours, Ms. D.
So who made you the spokesperson for Islam? As for me, I don't pretend to speak for anyone besides myself. I am definitely not 14, Ms. D, and take it from me, as you are a young woman, you clearly have a lot left to learn. Your Islamic elders have clearly hoodwinked you.
Your grammar is clearly missing something here, but I've had my peace for now. The ball is now in your court, Ms D.

When you torment Islam you are tormenting jesus,David,Moses,and many more prophets and important people in other religions.

Your anger for Islam make people more eager to see what the fuss about Islam is all about and they would want to convert to Islam too.

When you say these mean things about other religions you are making yourself look bad. In my opinion I think your an atheist or a Christian. If other people saw this they would think your representing Christianity and therefore they might think all christians are rude and dis about other religions.

I am speaking to the person wrote this article.also I am not speaking for me but for other people on my side. I am a 14 yrs old and plz take my word.

Nothing Changes on New Year's Day
Shalom, all.
The new year 2011 is already more than 24 hours old here in the fair Melayu Islamic Republic. Events in 2011, unfortunately, seem decidedly 'old year' with an Islamic-inspired church bombing in Egypt. The new year looks a lot like the old year, but what else could we expect?
On television here in Malaysia today there was a programme I saw with a brief scene involving a phone call between an American character and an Israeli one. The dialog certainly involved nothing objectionable--the characters were discussing their wishes for the future and expressing their hopes for a peaceful world. And the scene wasn't long--maybe two to three minutes at most. But I discovered another thing that the Malaysian Guardians of Morality (i.e. the Muslim censors) do not want people to hear or see, besides the usual and profanity, violence, or nudity.
What horrible word did they remove from this conversation? It was the word "shalom", repeatedly and consistently removed, in that brief scene on television. I could read the lips of the actors, and considering the context, there was no doubt that this was the 'offensive' word in question.
So, what is so terrible about the word "shalom" that the Malaysian authorities don't want us to hear it? "Shalom" has multiple meanings, such as 'peace' and 'hello' and 'goodbye', and is used in the same way and meaning as the Arabic word "salaam". What could be so terribly offensive about any of those meanings? The only conceivable reason why the Right Honorable Islamic Censors would want to omit this word from a TV show is solely because it is a Hebrew word. Hebrew must be a language that the anti Semitic, Jew-hating Malaysian government wants to erase from our collective memories. There can be no other explanation. This thought is almost as disturbing as the carnage freshly wrought by the Islamic bomber(s) in Egypt. I am against censorship in general, but this degree of censorship is particularly appalling. We cannot and must not let these people have their way.
So let us always remember the word 'shalom' and especially remember the meaning of this word, for our world so desperately needs it. Let's all use the Hebrew words that the Malaysian government so desperately does not want the world to hear.

Christmas Announcement from Malaysia-- We're not letting you leave Islam
Coming out in today's Malaysian paper, The Star, in a most curiously timed announcement, is the Religious Police of Sabah's decree that the Wondrously Tolerant Religion Known as Islam will soon 'enforce' the Islamic apostasy law. (editor's note- for non Malaysian readers, Sabah is one of the states of East Malaysia).
The article that reports this piece of 'good news' (i.e. good for Islam and bad for everybody, Muslims included) is written--actually encoded--in curiously detached and dry language. This sort of doublespeak characterizes fascist ideologies, as well as governments who actively discourage critical thought and an informed citizenry.
So I shall endeavor to decode this article for you, dear readers. The article is partially shown below, with the decoded text in italics:
Someone should send a memo to the Human Rights Commission or whatever they're called at the UN nowadays. You think that government-backed, government-funded, religious imprisonment like what the Muslims are doing in Sabah, or in any other state in Malaysia, or in any other Musllim country come to think of it, would be enough of a human rights atrocity for someone to wake up and take notice. But hey, the UN has a lot on their plate right now--after all they are probably too busy getting ready for their next 'Anti Zionist' rally in New York next year. Or maybe they're burning the midnight oil writing up yet another resolution bashing whatever the US and/or Israel is doing at the moment.
And we all know, of course, that pointing out this sort of Islamic fascism is Islamophobic and racist, not to mention contrary to harmony, bridge building, tolerance, mutual respect and all the other political correct bullshit buzz words that are so en vogue right now.
So, now that we all know what '1Malaysia' really looks like, let us celebrate this season of peace and harmony as Malaysia marches on to its mighty future.

("Enlightened on the merits" means lying to and forcing innocents to remained imprisoned, isolated from their families, friends and livelihoods. Perhaps they should be grateful they aren't executed like other, more devout Muslim countries routinely do to their apostates.)
The conference, among others, touched on scores of Muslim converts, who reverted to their original religions, due to neglect from Islamic religious agencies and non-governmental organisations.
