A Modest Suggestion For The Upcoming Election: CALL IN THE OBSERVERS

The current administration and the Democratic Party definitely have something to hide and they are palpably not playing by the rules, thus compromising the legitimacy of the upcoming elections. Time to call in the observers.

From David Solway at PJM:

The corruption of electoral practice is now so deeply entrenched in American political usage, riveted in place by massive spending, systemic lying, media compliance, and the exercise of arbitrary power, that one despairs for the future of the country. This is especially the case with the Obama administration, which represents not the United States of America so much as the Democratic Party, its many dissident factions, radical groups, disaffected constituents, and its well-heeled backers. It is diligently engaged in subverting the electoral process to solidify its hold on national office, sparing no effort to bring about this problematic end. The following examples are only scattershot in what amounts to a veritable fusillade.
Florida is — or was — attempting to purge ineligible voters from the electoral rolls. The process has been halted for the present, but Secretary of State Ken Detzner claims the Department of Homeland Security has denied the state access to the federal immigration data base, thus impeding its efforts to identify instances of vote falsification. Florida governor Rick Scott has initiated a lawsuit against the DHS, and the Justice Department responded in kind. Indiana passed legislation in 2005 to counter voting irregularities, provoking the Democrats to file suit. Texas is determined to pass a new voter ID law, to which the DOJ has formally objected. Attorney General Eric Holder is also blocking implementation of voter ID laws in South Carolina. And so it goes.
Indeed, research conducted by the Pew Center shows that there are approximately two million dead voters listed on the registries, and that one in every eight voter records contains inaccuracies. It is also a well-known fact that up to three million voters can cast their ballots in several different states, facilitated by the Motor Voter bill introduced by the Clinton administration.
As Peter Ferrara, general counsel of the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU), urges in an article called “Stealing Our Elections” for The American Spectator, “Let’s be fully frank.” The obvious reason that Obama, Holder, and the Democratic Party oppose proof of citizenship and voter ID, he writes, is that “vote fraud is a central Democrat strategy for ‘winning’ elections.” The Democrats appear to be the party of the dead and the morally contaminated. Identification is anathema to them. And yet ID is required in almost every facet of official civic life — driver’s licenses, club memberships, medicare consultations, and a host of other such categories, without which recognition is not forthcoming and access is denied. Even Eric Holder’s own Washington, D.C., office requires photo ID, and asign posted by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law reads: “ALL VISTORS MUST SHOW ID.”
Why should the voting process be any different — unless there are ulterior motives at work? What other conclusion can any reasonable person arrive at? As the Washington Timeseditorializes, “The Obama administration’s refusal to recognize the fundamental importance of an honest count only strengthens the growing notion that it seeks advantage, not justice.” It is plain that something must be done to avoid the scandal of a potentially rigged or manipulated election and to ensure, so far as possible, that dead voters be re-interred, multiple voters fractioned back to single balloting, mail-in fraudsters outed, forgers detected, noncitizens removed from the rolls, and illegal voter registration schemes investigated.
Here, then, is my modest suggestion. Determined to avoid a looming travesty, the Republican Party should insist that an international committee of legal experts and electoral watchdogs be invited to monitor the upcoming federal election. Reputable observers might be recruited from that rapidly diminishing assortment of countries that still retain a degree of respectability in the international arena: Canada (cf. Canada’s International Election Observation project), Australia, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Andorra perhaps. (Israel would make an ideal contributor to the procedure were it not the innocent victim of a worldwide campaign of slander and disinformation.) The United Nations, of course, should be avoided like the proverbial plague lest it assemble a squad of observers from Zimbabwe (recently appointed to head the UN World Tourism Organization), Iran (recently chosen as rapporteur for the UN Committee on Information), and other degenerate and autocratic stalwarts like Cuba, Syria, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and, naturally, the Palestinians.
The same goes for the Carter Center, which is sullied by a left wing and pro-Islamic agenda, and for the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe), which is, by any account, pretty well useless. But a cohort of impartial sentries hailing from countries generally acknowledged as more or less decent in their international relations might lead to “sober second thought” — a phrase applied to the Canadian Senate — in the minds of some politicians.

Eric Allen Bell discusses Murfreesboro Mega-Mosque and Islam on Fox and Friends

More about Eric Allen Bell at Front Page Magazine:

[Editor's note: The article below is written by Eric Allen Bell, a filmmaker who was recently banned from blogging at  the “Daily Kos” because he wrote three articles that ran afoul of the mindset there, specifically naming “Loonwatch.com” as a “terrorist spin control network.” This article first appeared in our Feb 7 issue and we have decided to rerun it due to the massive interest and reaction it received. Don't miss Eric Bell on Frontpage's television program, The Glazov Gang.]
A strange thing happened to me the other day when I was driving past the Federal Building in Los Angeles.  There were a crowd of people assembled there with signs which said that Israel is an aggressive force in the Middle East and that Iran is being picked on.  As I stopped at a red light I heard a man with a mega phone lead the protesters in a chant charging Obama with genocide.  I saw many young people and several Muslim women with their heads covered.  It was an anti-war demonstration that probably a year ago I would have supported.  But although I am not in favor of military action, I know that Iran is not another Iraq, and that in fact there is more going on here than the overly-simplified picture that the protestors were painting, as cars drove by honking in support.  As the light turned green another sign caught my eye – a picture of the Twin Towers burning which read “911 Was an Inside Job”.  As I looked at a sea of Palestinian flags and college kids banging on drums I felt a certain frustration – frustration based on a series of events that have changed my world view.
In the Summer of 2010, having recently escaped Hollywood, CA to take a much needed break from my profession as a film maker, I was driving in my car listening to a story on NPR.  It seems the people in my new home of Murfreesboro, TN were up in arms over the proposed construction of a 53,000 square foot mega mosque, to be built in their small town in the middle of the American Bible Belt.
I listened carefully, to the sound bytes, of those who had shown up to a town hall meeting to voice their opposition and, as someone who was rather new to the South, I was surprised by what I was hearing.   “America is a Christian nation and there is only one God and his name is not Allah and his son is Jesus Christ” and “America is a Christian Nation” and “These Muslims do not share my values and I don’t want them in my backyard”.  Growing up in Southern California, I had never heard anything like this before in my life.  And I started to follow the story with great interest.
On the outer edge of town, off a small country road, there was a large parcel of land, right next door to a Baptist church, with a big sign that read, “Future Home of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro”.  Over the past 6 months that sign had been defaced twice.  Once it was broken in half and another time the words “Not Welcome” were spray painted over it.
Rutherford County, which includes Murfreesboro, only has a little over 100,000 residents and yet the area boasts nearly 200 Christian churches.  Having not been much of a fan of Islam or Christianity or religion in general (and that’s putting it mildly) I saw this as something of a David vs. Goliath story – with fanatical Evangelicals bullying a peaceful Muslim population, which had been in the community for over 30 years without there ever being any trouble.  And, after learning that in July there was to be a big parade down Main Street to the town square, protesting the construction of this new mosque, I decided someone really needed to make a documentary about this.  And even though I had gone to Murfreesboro to escape the film world for a while, it seemed pretty clear that if I did not document this in a movie, no one else would.  I wanted to show the world what I was seeing.  So I put together a small film crew and began production on a documentary I would title, “Not Welcome”.
The Muslim Brotherhood and the Prophecy of Anwar Sadat - Time to Call a Spade a Spade

From Will at The Other News:

(TNL) President Israel-America Renaissance Institute.Contrary to the tepid analyses of Drs. Dore Gold and Daniel Pipes regarding Mohamad Morsi’s victory in Egypt’s presidential election, Israel has more than they suggest about the results of that election, and for at least three ominous reasons of which they are not unaware:
  1. Morsi is a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood now poised to sweep over Egypt and render Egypt’s 1979 peace treaty with Israel a dead letter.
  2. Rabid Jew-hatred permeates the people of Egypt and its state-controlled media.
  3. The U.S. has supplied Egypt’s ambitious military establishment with billions of dollars of sophisticated military hardware.
Item (3) was part of a U.S. “payoff” to Anwar Sadat’s for his historic November 1977 visit to Jerusalem, which signified that brilliant strategist’s severing Egypt’s alliance with the Soviet Union and adopting a pro-American foreign policy. Although it remains to be seen how Egypt’s military echelon will relate to the Muslim Brotherhood, optimism is not in order: both parties hate Israel.

Turning to Mohamad Morsi: he is an alumnus of Cairo University and the University of Southern California. Dr. Morsi, now a member of Egypt’s parliament, is the Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party(FJP), founded by the Muslim Brotherhood in the wake of the 2011 Egyptian revolution.
He is unsurprisingly called an “Islamist”―a monotonous euphemism for Muslims who typically harbor an Islamo-Nazi mentality. That Hamas cheered Morsi’s victory is also unsurprising: Hamas is the Palestinian wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. Perhaps Drs. Gold and Pipes should take another look at the Hamas Covenant, for this document speaks for its patron and therefore may reveal something ominous about Morsi, but muted by those experts.
I call that document the “Hamas Covenant of Death.” It is a blood-curdling expression of the “Islamist” love affair with death, or what Michael Ledeen calls “necrophilia” in Accomplice to Evil: Iran and the War Against the West (2009). Dr. Ledeen’s book, we note in passing, documents the necrophilia of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, who had thousands of Iranian children blown to bits walking across Iraqi land mines in Iran-Iraqi war. This is the same Ahmadinejad who screams “Death to America” and vows to “wipe Israel off the map.”
But let us examine Hamas Covenant of Death, for it manifests the demonic or demented mentality of Ahmadinejad. And here it should be noted that although Morsi, unlike Ahmadinejad, is a Sunni and not a Shiite Muslim, this is little more than a distinction without a difference. Time to call a spade a spade.
"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it ..." Thus begins the Hamas Covenant of Death, officially known as "The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement," which, as indicated, is inspired by the mentality of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Now, to grasp the true nature of the war Muslims―Sunni and Shiite―have waged against Jews and the State of Israel, let us explore some passages of that Covenant.manifestation of moral equivalence―the Hamas Covenant of Death proclaims, "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors," which describes the bland, democratic menu of men without chests.
Lacking is the stamina to confront and overcome the hydra of another “evil empire,” whose Covenant is deadlier than the Communist Manifesto.
"The day the enemies usurp part of Muslim land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Muslim. It is [therefore] necessary to instill in the minds of the Muslim generations that the Palestinian problem is a religious problem, and should be dealt with on this basis." Hence the Covenant enjoins upon Muslims the following oath: "I swear by the holder of Muhammad's soul that I would like to invade and be killed for the sake of Allah, then invade and be killed, and then invade again and be killed."
Conclusion:
With the Muslim Brotherhood poised to reign over Egypt―but therefore the Sinai―and with Hamas entrenched in Gaza, we are witnessing a process pointing to the fulfillment of the prophecy of Anwar Sadat, or so we may conclude from these statements of his:
● In a Cairo Mosque Sadat proclaimed that “The jihad is a religious duty of all Muslims.”―John Laffin, The Arab Mind Considered (New York: Taplinger, 1975), 152.
● Interviewed in al-Anwar on June 22, 1975, Sadat declared: “The effort of our generation is to return to the 1967 borders. Afterward the next generation will carry the responsibility.”―Y. Harkabi, Arab Strategies and Israel's Response (NY: Free Press, 1977), 55.
● Finally, in an October 19, 1980 interview with the New York Times, Sadat boasted: “Poor Menachem [Begin], he has his problems ... After all, I got back ... the Sinai and the Alma oil fields, and what has Menachem got? A piece of paper”Enter Mohamad Mursi.
Hmmm........To say it with the immortal words of Julius Caesar: " Alea iacta est" (Latin: "The die has been cast").

There Is “No Place Better” Than Church To Talk About Political Issue

Michelle Obama: There Is “No Place Better” Than Church To Talk About Political Issues

(CNSNews.com) – There is no better place than church to talk about political issues because they are ultimately moral issues, First Lady Michelle Obama told a church gathering on Thursday.
“To anyone who says that church is no place to talk about these issues, you tell them there is no place better – no place better,” Obama told the African Methodist Episcopal Church’s 49th general conference, held in in Nashville, Tenn.
“Because ultimately, these are not just political issues – they are moral issues,” she said. “They’re issues that have to do with human dignity and human potential, and the future we want for our kids and our grandkids.”

Islamic Cleric Bans Women From Touching Bananas And Cucumbers To Avoid “Sexual Thoughts”

CAIRO: An Islamic cleric residing in Europe said that women should not be close to bananas or cucumbers, in order to avoid any “sexual thoughts.”
The unnamed sheikh, who was featured in an article on el-Sawsana news, was quoted saying that if women wish to eat these food items, a third party, preferably a male related to them such as their a father or husband, should cut the items into small pieces and serve.
He said that these fruits and vegetables “resemble the male penis” and hence could arouse women or “make them think of sex.” Bikyamasr.com cannot independently verify the accuracy of the news item at time of writing.
He also added carrots and zucchini to the list of forbidden foods for women.
The sheikh was asked how to “control” women when they are out shopping for groceries and if holding these items at the market would be bad for them. The cleric answered saying this matter is between them and God.
Answering another question about what to do if women in the family like these foods, the sheikh advised the interviewer to take the food and cut it for them in a hidden place so they cannot see it.

Mali's Muslim Rulers Destroy More Ancient Tombs In Timbuktu - ICC Accuses Them Of "War Crimes"

(Telegraph) — Islamist rebels in northern Mali smashed four more tombs of ancient Muslim saints in Timbuktu on Sunday as the International Criminal Court warned their campaign of destruction was a war crime.
The hardline Islamists who seized control of Timbuktu along with the rest of northern Mali three months ago, consider the shrines to be idolatrous and have wrecked seven tombs in two days.
Mali’s government and the international community have expressed horror and outrage at the destruction of cultural treasures in the fabled city, an ancient desert crossroads and centre of learning known as the “City of 333 Saints”.
“My message to those involved in these criminal acts is clear: stop the destruction of the religious buildings now,” ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda told AFP in an interview in Dakar.
“This is a war crime which my office has authority to fully investigate.”
On Saturday the Islamists destroyed the tombs of Sidi Mahmoud, Sidi Moctar and Alpha Moya, and on Sunday attacked four more including Cheikh el-Kebir’s mausoleum as residents stood by helplessly.
Crying “Allahu akbar” (God is Greatest), the men carrying chisels and hoes smashed the tombs.

Iran - "We take the control of the Hormuz Strait. We will not allow a drop of oil to pass through the strait"

A member of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) said that Iran will close the Hormuz Strait if the economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic take effect. Arsalan Fathipour in an interview with Alalam News Network said that the recent oil price fall will not last for long. "We take the control of the Hormuz Strait. If we are supposed to be sanctioned, we will not allow a drop of oil to pass through the strait," he said, Fars News Agency reported. "In such a situation, oil price will surge and we will see that those who have imposed sanctions will not be able to be accountable for their people," he noted. He noted that Iran can find new customers for oil. Iran has stored up imports and hard currency for a "battle" against EU sanctions, officials said on Sunday, the day that the measures aimed at pressuring the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program take effect. Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi said the country has stockpiled the population's daily needs to reduce the impact of the embargo hitting the oil and banking sectors. "Today, we are facing the heaviest of sanctions and we ask people to help officials in this battle," Rahimi was quoted by the IRIB News. He said the "dastardly sanctions" might cause "occasional confusion" in the market, but that the Iranian nation would not be stopped. Central bank governor Mahmoud Bahmani also told the Mehr News Agency that Iran has "plans" to deal with the embargo and enough hard currency to meet its import needs. The EU said earlier this week that all contracts for importing Iranian oil will have to be terminated from Sunday.

Storm Update

Our neighborhood was spared anything like this.

However, West Falls Church is quite close to our home:

According to this source:
Tyler Taylor of Falls Church performs a balancing act as he walks on a fallen tree on West Great Falls Street on Sunday, two days after a deadly storm. (Rod Lamkey Jr./The Washington Times)
So, when will the White House announce, "The victims of the storm are doing fine"?

A lot of the D.C. area still looks like a war zone.

I AM

I woke up to find out I am a ‘Free Rider’..SO HERE, DEMOCRATS is what a free rider really is

    I’ve worked since 1972.
Most of that time I wrote Cardiovascular Research software. I also became a General Manager of a corporate division.
We bought 3 homes over time.
We paid off the mortgage on the last one and now live in it.
We paid off our last vehicle(s) and own them.
We watch our budget every month
I had a near fatal heart attack, and my wife has cancer and has had 10 surgeries since 1995, and has also had a massive radiation. So much, no one could approach her for days.
My wife is and has been a teacher, and has a TERRIFIC health insurance plan.
After my heart attack I was unable to work as effectively. I did not even ATTEMPT disability.
Because of that I lost the ability to afford health insurance.
I pay cash for my $200 a month Rx habit from Canada, which would be $1200 per month here (if I had health insurance….someone is paying). However, I made a market decision to control costs (and eat).
Since losing my insurance I’ve been to the cardiologist ZERO times, over the last 5 years, since the basic battery of exams is now over $3000. They are afraid to treat me without those tests (thank you, malpractice insurance). Those test are 20% of my wife’s salary.
I’ve been to a GP doctor once since then.
I now collect Social Security, but am not old enough for medicare. Health insurance would cost 50% or more of that check.
We have FAR TOO MUCH in assets to qualify for Medicaid, which btw, this state just reduced from 133% of federal poverty guidelines (precisely what the unconstitutional mandated exchanges called for) to 100% since this was helping BREAK THIS STATE causing taxes on business to go so high for the first time since the post civil war period, we have a republican legislature on both sides and a republican governor. There will be NO exchange here since that would make the state’s situation impossible over time.
My wife’s health insurance (which does not cover me unless I pay those same rates an individual would pay) is SO GOOD, we are going to have to pay the Cadillac tax Obamacare mandates.
Thus we are going to end up paying BOTH the $695 tax Obama has insisted on SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE we cannot afford health insurance, and pay the cadillac tax Obama has insisted on because my wife’s best (and only) benefit compels this.
This morning I woke up to find out that Debbie Wasserman Schultz the chairman of the democratic party, Nancy Pelosi former leader of the house and now democratic minority leader, Sander Levin the ranking Ways and Means Congressman for Dems, and every other policy maker and major blabber, is telling me I am a free rider.
Certainly I made a voluntary, though unpleasant and chancy choice to NOT purchase health insurance. Instead I am taking every measure I can to ensure I remain in good health until I am qualified for medicare.
I also don’t wish to be on Medicaid
I also don’t wish to receive or be forced onto food stamps by reason of medical insurance costs
Yet it is that VERY ADDICTION which is being forced, and called GOOD FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE
I have been an active democratic party member until recently.
We lived in NH for many, many years, having campaign workers sleep in our home for many months during primary seasons.
While not having voted “D” for a president in many years I have voted for plenty of democrats at local and state levels, and for Sen and Congressmen when appropriate. That is over.
Not only will I never under any circumstances vote for a democrat, I will work TIRELESSLY for the Republican party.
I am certain they will never wake up one fine day and call me a free rider instead of SIMPLY MAKING ALL HEALTH INSURANCE AVAILABLE IN ANY STATE, AVAILABLE IN EVERY STATE. This was, btw, John McCain’s idea.

Amsterdam Gets a Harsh Lesson in Islam 101

From Bruce Bawer at Front Page Mag

In January 2009 a Dutch court ordered Geert Wilders to be prosecuted for offending Muslims and inciting anti-Muslim hatred.  The complaint was based not on slurs, as such, but on factual statements made by Wilders, in his film Fitna and in various public venues, about Islamic beliefs and about actions inspired by those beliefs.  In June 2011, after a prolonged legal ordeal that cost Wilders greatly in time, money, and emotion, and that represented a disgrace to the tradition of Dutch liberty, he was finally acquitted.
In February of this year, the Islamic Students Association at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) in Amsterdam invited Haitham al-Haddad, a British sharia scholar, to participate in a symposium, but when some of al-Haddad’s sophisticated theological statements about Jews (the usual “pigs and dogs” business) and about other topics came to light, members of the Dutch Parliament spoke out against the invitation, a media storm erupted, and VU canceled its plans.  Whereupon a venue in Amsterdam called De Balie, which sponsors debates, talks, plays, and sundry cultural and artistic events (and whose café is a good spot to grab a late-morning coffee), stepped in and offered al-Haddad their stage.
At the event that ensued, al-Haddad spelled out, and defended, many aspects of Islamic law, including the death penalty for apostates.  Because of this specific statement about executing apostates, al-Haddad was reported to Dutch officials for having broken the same laws that Wilders had been put on trial for violating.

Colonel says headscarf a ‘symbol of terrorism’ in new voice recording

    FROM TODAY’S ZAMAN, ?STANBUL
Col. Ali Çakmakkaya, a judge, describes the headscarf as a “symbol of terrorism” in a voice recording, in which he also uses profanity while referring to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and his wife, Emine Erdo?an.
The voice recording was released on Twitter on Tuesday, although the date of the recording remains unknown. A caption provided with the recording says Çakmakkaya made the statements in an official military setting.
Criticizing Erdo?an for not wearing a tie during his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Çakmakkaya says Erdo?an had put an end to state culture in Turkey. He talks about the wives of Erdo?an and Assad: “You look at the wife of the other [Assad]; she is pretty modern and [looks] European.” He adds that Erdo?an’s wife is not like this, using expletives in his description of Emine Erdo?an.
Çakmakkaya also compares Emine Erdo?an with the wife of Qatar’s Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. “Even the wife of Qatar [Emir] looks neater than his [Erdo?an’s]. Her head is covered but not with a headscarf. These [headscarves] are entirely militant symbols,” he says, adding, “This is not about faith. This is a symbol of terrorism.”
