Islam IS a religion of peace. Just because a few hundred thousand act out in a violent matter that doesn't mean all 1.4 billion are of the same mentality.
Muslims all around the world have condemned terrorism and its roots...but who's reporting about it? No one. Who's mentioning it in their everyday conversations? No one.
Islam doesn't need to be saved. These perverters of Islam will dissipate in a little while and Islam will return to its graceful image. The Dalai Lama himself said that Islam is a religion of peace.
Education is the best tool one can attain.

This is the typical, nonsensical off-the-shelf argument we've all heard a million times, based on the bait-and-switch technique which Jason Pappas, one of the bloggers here, has described.
You cannot give Islam the credit for the lack of devotion of some of its supposed adherents. You have to look at Islam as such to find out what its adherents are supposed to do, and from that, it is easy to see that Islam is absolutely not a religion of peace.
Your objections do not deal with the ideology of Islam, but rather about what Muslims do and fail to do. Therefore, your objections are irrelevant.
