It is the only faith on Earth that persuades its followers to seek political power and impose a law — sharia — which shapes everyone's style of life. ...
We have come to regard blasphemy as a symbol of free speech; Islam treats offensive words about the Prophet or the Koran as a serious offence. It is vain to say: "Well, if they come here, they must conform with British society and its easy ways." Muslims will not do that. Their religion forbids it.
Why do we suppose India had to be partitioned? There was no other way of keeping the peace in that great sub-continent.
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Man, oh man, England may like to sleep in, but when they wake up, it seems, can wake up very quickly.
I've noticed a definite change in the tone of some of the British news-articles. Now, will they take the steps needed?
WHat a great post !
"Why do we suppose India had to be partitioned? "
Money quote.
Maybe that's the only way to avoid killing scores of millions, or more in the next 20-30 years.
I believe that if you read the whole thing, as I did, you will note that the author is in fact suggesting that Britain should invite muslims to sit on some sort of council to advise the Brits on auto-dhimmification. Not very reassuring.
The money quote that you left out. "We cannot do that here, but perhaps we should be thinking in terms of a supreme council on which our principal religions, including Islam, would sit and try to resolve misunderstandings." I'm not criticizing your post, I'm just pointing out that the authore of the article is not arguing for assertion of British identity, he is arguing for surrender.
Keith,
Thanks for pointing that out. Just when we think they're waking up, they reach for the Ambien.
