Will McCain Shut the Blogs Up? Or Shut them Down?

McCain has become the champion legislator for censorship. Enemy of free speech. First he authored McCain Feingold campaign finance reform - mother of all bad legislation, an abysmal reform failure that only led to more negative campaign ads and an explosion of the use of 527 groups by big donors. More than $950 million was funneled through 527 groups in the 2004 and 2006 elections, much of it from wealthy donors and corporations otherwise barred from having such a large financial impact. 527s owe it all to John McCain.
Now this? This will shut us all down (except those leftoid blogs underwritten by Soros.) Take it from a blogger who makes no money - this is very very bad. Over at Down the Avenue - hat tip Jeremaya

Via Digg, Senator John McCain Hates Blogs....apparently he has launched an assault "against the independent blogosphere by introducing legislation that would, among other things, make bloggers responsible for comments and copyrighted material posted on their sites, with fines of up to $300,000."

Most independent bloggers I know are not making money from their blogs and with a fine of such magnitude, could make them homeless. What on earth is he talking about? Freedom of expression and creativity gets punished with such severity?

This is where the blogs must coordinate an effort to stop this fookin RINO in his tracks. More at Atlas

McCain wants to take a swing at the blogosphere because he knows we're going to be swinging at him in 08.

I think McCain is about to be "Dan Rathered" and he doesn't even know it.
