Epaminondas over at the "Villagers with Torches" blog is just dynamite!!

This one had me laughing out loud!!

The Nominees are:
1) David Gregory, for suggesting Monday that given the fact that Cheney didn't personally inform him by cell phone while he was watching Brokeback Mountain for the 4th time on Saturday night, that the Bush administration was suffering from a 'Katrina' disability in communications

2)The Killers of Ronald McDonald (who not only achieved nothing, attacked the wrong country's "icon", but missed attacking the Jews at the same time): The summa and magna cum laude Pakistani maddrasah graduates

3) Harry 'we just killed the patriot act' Reid, and Howard 'we can't win in Iraq' Dean for mutual assassination, and another nail in the national democratic party's 2 generation long effort in coffin building and suicide

Check out the other "nominees" at his blog.
Epa, you do great work!! :)

Jihadi Rally In New York City

From Atlas Shrugs:

I have been receiving these notices in my Yahoo news alerts to join these rallys against the loony toons.

News From Bangladesh Wed, 15 Feb 2006 10:23 AM PSTRALLY IN FRONT OF DANISH CONSULATE 2nd AVE and 48 Street FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17, 2006 12 PM to 3 PM Juma Khutba by Imam Siraj Wahhaj at 1:00 PM Bring your Friends and Family Arrange buses and vans from your communities

For information call:917-238-9744, 631 334 3301, (718) 739-3211, 718-658-1199

"We had a demonstration in front of the UN last Sunday. This campaign of protest will continue as a campaign of education for many more months to come"

"We should portray these cartoons as anti-Muslim rather than anti-Islam. This will take away their hollow argument that it is freedom of expression to attack an ideology (considered progressive). Media are more vary of attacking a community as it is considered racist and not" progressive.

Needless to say, I have ignored these messages. These protests have garnered little attendance and scant attention. But they will not be discouraged as you can see they plan to make this a campaign for "months to come." Today's rally seems to have been better attended.

I received this missive from Rona;

Mark went with his camera. Click for all the pictures here: A.N.S.W.E.R.'s speakers were inciteful, going far beyond the rhetoric about tolerance voiced by the Muslim speakers on the stage. About 600 were there, lots of school buses brought people in.

Another Jihadi Rally In London

Last week there was a rather pathetic turnout for the Islamic rally held in central London under approval of Ken 'supporter of Islamic terrorism' Livingstone. So they went and organised another one for today. Who knows, maybe this will be a weekly event. Rallying the Ummah and all that sort of thing. [note - the quality on most of the pics are low/blurred thanks mostly to the digital zoom, the images are nearly all in reverse order and unedited except for the one before last which has the bystanders pixelated. Most of the pics are of the second section of the march, both sections being of roughly equal size. The full sized pictures can be viewed by clicking on any of the pics below. Lastly I used a poor quality image as the first one because of the little boy holding the 'we love the "prophet" more than our lives" banner] :

The picture below is of a man handing out leaflets near the rally. The picture below that is of the leaflet. The leaflet seems to be a reason (from an Islamic point of view) of why free speech should not be allowed when it comes to discussing Islam. Notice how the word 'Jesus' is highlighted, which I guess is a way of gaining support/sympathy from dhimmified Christians, even though the Islamic "Jesus" would be considered the anti-Christ by most Bible believing/learned Christians :

Aboslutely No Link Between Islam and Fascism. Repeat, There Is No Link....

I wish fundie Muslims would work out if they believe the holocaust is a myth propogated in order to elicit sympathy for the Zionists, or if it was a holy piece of work to burn those Jews...

More peace & love from Pakistan. Picture from LGF. Fascists and Islam hand in hand. Mwah. Should get a bed together.

Obviously a one off. Well, apart from this. Oh, and this. [Cross posted at DrunkenBlogging]

NYC Cartoon Protest Yesterday (17 Feb. 06)

Here is a brief story on the "peaceful" protest in NYC yesterday at the Danish Consulate. This protest was also hyped on CAIR's website (www.cair-net.org) as well as other muslim activist sites, including the ITS. I will include more reports as I find them, but here is the story from the AP as well as their photo (above). Notice how peaceful the protesters appear in this photo, as well as the sentiment on the sign held up.

"A group organized by a Muslim leader protests cartoons published by a Danish newspaper, outside the Danish consulate in New York, Friday, Feb. 17, 2006. Jyllands-Posten, first printed the prophet pictures by 12 cartoonists in September. The newspaper has since apologized to Muslims for the cartoons, one of them showing Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban with an ignited fuse. Other Western newspapers, mostly in Europe but also some in the United States, have reprinted the pictures, asserting their news value and the right to freedom of expression. (AP Photo/Dima Gavrysh)"

Oh for another Churchill!

We shall fight on the beaches

Never Give In

"Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.'' -- Churchill Speech, Harrow, October 29, 1941

OIC Calls Emergency PowWow - Demands West Criminalize Mockery of Islam and Mo

Professor Ihsanoglu has obviously been browsing the web and is having a hissy fit about all those sites mocking Islam and Mohammed. So the Mohammedans are going to DEMAND that the world criminalize all mockery of Islam and their precious Mo. Listen up West! Appeasement does not work.

So, here's a few players to watch - Prof. Ihsanoglu - Internet monitor and whiner, EU Foreign Minister - Pusilanimous Dhimmi, Solana.

OIC Calls for Emergency Meeting on Cartoon Issue
P.K. Abdul Ghafour, Arab News

JEDDAH, 18 February 2006 — Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, is contacting member states for an emergency meeting of their foreign ministers shortly to discuss major issues including the repercussions of the sacrilegious Danish cartoons.

Ihsanoglu has already spoken to Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Yemeni Foreign Minister Abubakar Al-Qurbi and Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar to fix a date for the meeting, press reports said yesterday quoting diplomatic sources.

The meeting is significant in the backdrop of the continuing protests across the Islamic world over the blasphemous cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a Danish paper and the subsequent reprint in other Western countries.

The diplomats said the meeting would play a big role in defusing the current tension between the Islamic world and the European Union.

Professor Ihsanoglu has already informed Javier Solana, EU foreign policy chief, that the 57-member OIC was seeking the EU’s cooperation to end the conflict as quickly as possible.

“The OIC member states expect from the EU to identify Islamophobia as a dangerous phenomenon and to observe and combat it like in the cases of xenophobia and anti-Semitism, by creating suitable observance mechanisms and revising its legislation, in order to prevent the recurrence of the recent unfortunate incidents,” Ihsanoglu said.

The proposed meeting will be the first after the Islamic summit in Makkah on Dec. 7-8. The summit was a big success as it approved a 10-year action plan for the overall development of OIC member countries and called for a complete facelift of the OIC to enable it to play an effective role on the world stage.

Meanwhile, the permanent representatives of the OIC member states held an extraordinary meeting at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah to examine the latest developments in the cartoon row.

“After listening to a statement by professor Ihsanoglu on the issue and the outcome of Solana’s visit to the OIC headquarters, the permanent representatives expressed their appreciation and support for the line of action undertaken by the secretary-general in managing this crisis,” an OIC statement said.

The member states approved the five points presented by Ihsanoglu to Solana as a way to defuse the crisis, and prevent the recurrence of similar crisis in the future.

The five points include the (1)adoption by the EU of necessary legislative measures through the European Parliament against Islamophobia and (2) making joint efforts by the EU and the OIC to adopt a UN resolution on the lines of existing UN Resolution 60/150 (combating defamation of religions), which should prohibit defamation of all prophets and faiths. [What are the other three? Behead the cartoonists? Stone Denmark into the ...stone age?]

Know Your Enemy, Know Yourself

As I see it in my daily life, most Westerners see Muslim countries as third world countries.

Of course, they may have tons of oil money, but that is reserved for the 'few' wealthy people in the country, right?

The rest are poverty stricken, uneducated suicide bombers.

While that may be true in many cases, one should always know their enemy.

One who knows the enemy and knows himself will not be in danger in a hundred battles.

One who does not know the enemy but knows himself will sometimes win, sometimes lose.

One who does not know the enemy and does not know himself will be in danger in every battle.

---Sun Tsu, The Art of War

How well do we know our enemy?

Muslim hackers blast Denmark in Net assault

Gangs of pro-Muslim computer hackers have unleashed a withering cyber attack on Danish and Western websites in the past week, escalating their defacement barrage to coincide with dozens of violent street-level demonstrations across the Arab world in protest at the publication of a cartoon depiction of the Prophet Mohammed.

The victims of the cyber attacks ran the gamut of large and small websites, from estate agents in Essex to a Danish online gamer community called the 47th Royal Marines. As of Tuesday morning, the latter's site was still defaced to read 'Hacked by RedHackeR" with the following statement: "IM SORRY, STOP WAR, DON'T TOUCH ALL ISLAM COUNTRY! F[***] DENMARK, F[***] YOUR GOVERMENT!!!'

That is not a third world, suicide bomber response the West is used to.

Do you think it's time to wake up?

'Piece'-ful Muslims

I have come to the conclusion that there are Peaceful Muslims, and then there are Pieceful Muslims.

And here are the Pieceful kind...

Cleric offers $1M (U.S.) for cartoonist's murder

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A Pakistani cleric announced a $1-million U.S. bounty for killing a cartoonist who drew the Prophet Muhammad.

This is just sickening. I can't understand why more Muslims aren't calling this what it is, a disgusting representation of what they want the world to see as a Peaceful religion.

Obviously it is not about the money, or someone would have tried to cash in on the $25 million for Osama's head.

And that makes for a very dangerous enemy...

The Morality of Rational Self-interest.

Onkar Ghate at Capitalism Magazine has a fascinating article on what is rotten at the core of the West - the wrong definition for morality.

Love Thy Enemy: The Twilight of Freedom of Speech

I particular liked his summary below, but the whole article is great.

In the right's version [of morality], selfless surrender to evil translates into a foreign policy of self-effacing service.

Our duty, Bush declares, is to bring the vote to Iraqis and Palestinians, but we dare not tell them what constitution to adopt, or ban the killers they want to vote for. We have no right to assert our principles, because they are rational and good. But the Iraqis and Palestinians have a right to enact their tribal and terrorist beliefs at our expense, because their beliefs are irrational and evil. In the present crisis, the State Department will not defend free speech, because this principle is rationally defensible; to unequivocally assert this value would be selfish. But the Department will suggest that we respectfully refrain from publishing cartoons that upset the mental lethargy of self-made slaves to authority; Muslims have a right to their mystical taboos, precisely because the beliefs are mystical.

Tonight, when you turn on the news and see hatred-seething hordes burning the West's flags and torching its embassies, remember that this is the enemy your morality commands you to love and serve--and remember the lonely Danes hiding in fear for their lives.

And then, in the ultimate act of self-assertiveness, pledge to renounce the morality of sacrifice and learn its opposite: the morality of rational self-interest.

Though the West's twilight has begun, the darkness of suicide has not yet engulfed us. We still have a chance.

Giuseppe Calderoli : Now Here's A Politician Who Speaks and Wears His Mind!

Now that the Italian embassy is burning, you may ask, what did the Italians do? Did they print the MoMockery Cartoons? One or two regional papers probably, but not the big papers. Too scary! But Giuseppe Calderoli, of the Northern League Party, which does not suffer from political correctness, went one better. He printed them on Tshirts and is wearing them himself! Of course, all the pusilanimous dhimwit elites have their panties in a twist. Most uncomfortable. If it wasn't so tragic, it would be amusing watching the West hacking off bits and pieces of its culture, identity and freedoms to feed the Mohammedan jackals.

Foreign minister slams colleague for sporting cartoons

(ANSA) - Rome, February 16 - Italian Foreign Minister Gianfranco Fini on Thursday slammed a cabinet colleague who has been wearing a T-shirt bearing the Mohammed cartoons that have caused a firestorm in Muslim countries .

"An Italian minister should adhere to serious and responsible behaviour at such a difficult and delicate time in relations between Europe and the Islamic world," Fini said in rapping Reforms Minister Giuseppe Calderoli of the devolutionist Northern League .

"Any provocation that may be seen as offensive against any religious sensitivities must be stigmatised," said Fini, who heads Italy's biggest rightwing party, the National Alliance .

Calderoli has been wearing the T-shirts with stencilled copies of the Danish newspaper cartoons all week .

He designed and commissioned them himself in a move that gained him headlines worldwide. Calderoli said he wanted to express solidarity with newspapers and firms that have suffered from Islamic protests and boycotts - as well as showing that the West could not be cowed into abandoning its tradition of free speech .

On Thursday a Muslim country, believed to be Libya, pulled out of a northern Italian conference on business ties with North Africa, protesting Calderoli's stance on the cartoons .

The minister's T-shirt idea followed a domestic row in which he said immigrants to Italy - the majority of whom are Muslim - had been rightly barred from a government 'baby bonus' scheme. Calderoli called the immigrants - who had been applying for the benefit after receiving congratulatory letters from Premier Silvio Berlusconi - "Ali Babas" who were stealing houses and jobs from native Italians .

The minister said he was "proud" of barring the immigrants from the scheme - apparently without informing his boss .

Calderoli said the 1,000 euro pay-out for babies born last year was "being paid for by the work of Italian citizens and clearly not by the Johnny-come-latelies who have claimed council houses and jobs ahead of Italians and now want to benefit from their taxes." "All these Ali Babas should turn to Allah, or to their own governments - if they (the governments) find time to devote to the needs of their people rather than the atomic bomb or buying arms." The Northern League, a junior partner in the Berlusconi government, is sometimes accused of being xenophobic (anti-foreigner) .

Protests against the cartoons - one of which features the Prophet with a bomb on his head instead of a turban - continued on Thursday in Pakistan .

As part of the earlier outcry, the Danish embassy in Syria was torched and several people were killed in riots in Afghanistan .

Islam forbids any representation of the Prophet .

Is America still the Land of the Free?

My weblog, A New Dark Age Is Dawning has recently been censored twice because I had the cartoons of prophet Muhammad displayed.

The first time, I was censored by Photobucket; the second time, by Pic Tiger.

I was shocked enough when Photobucket censored me. They replaced the images of the prophet they found offensive with their banners, stating that their terms had been violated. But it was not only the cartoons of the prophet that were removed, one picture depicting an angry Muslim in a London demonstration calling for the beheading of any infidel who disrespected Islam had also been removed for having fallen foul of their terms!

I'm sure you can imagine that I was even more shocked to find that within two days of finding a new hosting company, PicTiger, that they, too, had censored me. They also replaced the two cartoons of the prophet with their own banners.

    I was dumbfounded!

Right now, I am in the States on vacation from the UK. These two hosting companies are American companies as far as I know. Yet they find it necessary to censor my weblog in this underhand manner.

This does not augur well for the future freedom of the West. It also begs the question: What's going on here that ordinary people don't know about? Why is everyone so silent about this censorship? I can't be the only one that's been censored. There must be hundreds of others who have suffered the same fate.

Why was I censored like this? Was it because the image-hosting company was afraid of being sued? Or was it because the tentacles of Muslim-Arab money already reach far and wide into the US economy?

I'd like to read your thoughts on this most important of matters. For one has to ask oneself a further question: If things go on like this, for how much longer will America be the land of the free?

    Distress Signal for Pastorius

I hate to use IBA for this purpose, but I can't figure out any other way to get in touch with Pastorius.

Dymphna and I emailed him 6 times since last night, from three different email addresses, to his current email account. All of them bounced.

We need to put in our votes for the cartoon contest.

Does anybody know of a way to contact him?

    ITS and Their Protest Video

OK, when I first found it, the site was experiencing an overload and I couldn't watch the video. But now I've viewed it. All 13 freakish minutes of it. A few interesting points here.

First, they are apparently small in number but large in net savvy and extremely angry. They have very American accents, and refuse to show their faces in the video.

Second, the main speaker really did keep up the declarations of "war" against various Western countries and the kafirs, but were noticably speaking out to other muslims and trying to get them to be outraged as well. The people walking by pretty much ignored them. They brought up the sura regarding befriending the "unbelievers" in English.

In ARABIC, which they did not use much except in the overdub at the beginning and end of the video, they repeatedly chanted the shahada, "There is no god but allah, and muhammad is his prophet". I caught that numerous times, even though my arabic is not good. That's ok, theirs didn't seem to be either. I have been wondering for some time now where the outrage in the West is regarding the arrogance and insulting nature of the shahada, but even more now that it is being chanted so frequently in protests.

Final note, they really had trouble lighting that flag.

Iranian Fatwa: Use Of Nukes Acceptable As "Counter-Measure"

The leader of the religious conservatives in Iran, and mentor to President Ahmadinejad, has declared the use of nuclear weapons to be acceptable:

“The spiritual leaders of the ultra-conservatives [in Iran] have accepted the use of nuclear weapons as lawful in the eyes of the shari’a. Mohsen Gharavian, a disciple of [Ayatollah] Mesbah Yazdi [who is Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s spiritual mentor], has spoken for the first time of using nuclear weapons as a counter-measure. He stated that ‘in terms of the shari’a, it all depends on the goal.’

“The religious leadership of the Islamic Republic [of Iran], which has until now regarded the use of nuclear weapons as opposed to the Shari’a, and has repeated this point again and again, has so far kept silent about this. In spite of the fact that, in the last few weeks, some of the senior [leaders] of the Islamic Republic have tried to reduce the pressure [exerted by] the radical [conservatives], the radicals nevertheless seem to have complete control over the [political] arena.

“[Iranian National Security Council Secretary] Ali Larijani, who is in charge of the nuclear dossier, has spoken to reporters only once since the [IAEA] Board of Governors approved its resolution – and his silence is significant.(2) But yesterday, the IraNews news agency published recent remarks by Mohsen Gharavian regarding the nuclear issue. Gharavian is a lecturer at the religious schools of Qom, and is a disciple of [Ayatollah] Mesbah Yazdi. In his recent remarks, he said for the first time that the use of nuclear weapons may not constitute a problem according to shari’a. He further said that ‘when the entire world is armed with nuclear weapons, it is permissible to use these weapons as a counter-[measure]. According to the shari’a, too, only the goal is important...’”

To what? It doesn't stipulate as a counter-measure to what. So, could it be as a counter-measure to a nuclear strike, or any military strike? Blasphemous cartoons? Looking at them wrong?

NYC's "Islamic Thinker's Society" Warns That Our Days Are Numbered

    This from: http://www.cbn.com/CBNnews/usnews/060216a.asp

NYC Muslim Group Warns U.S.: 'Your Days are Numbered'
    By Erick Stakelbeck
    Washington Terror Analyst

CBN.com – NEW YORK CITY - So far, the violent riots that have erupted throughout the Muslim world over the Mohammed cartoons have not been repeated here in the U.S.

But yesterday in New York City, one radical Islamic group was preaching a message that is anything but peaceful.

It wasn't Pakistan or Gaza. It was Manhattan's east side. The group calls itself the Islamic Thinker's Society—ITS, for short. The purpose of the demonstration was to condemn the now infamous cartoons.

But there was another message as well: that Islam will one day dominate the world.

One ITS member said, “We are here to tell you that there is nothing you can do--and that your days are numbered...all of you who disbelieve: speak good, or Allah will silence you.”

The protest began in front of the Danish Consulate. ITS members stomped on Danish flags and warned Denmark that it would suffer "Allah's wrath." The group then moved to the German Consulate, where they trampled on German and Israeli flags--and called non-Muslims "scum."

All of this took place under the watchful eye of the NYPD. Onlookers we spoke to were outraged.

“Some people have evolved and matured and become civilized human beings, but they obviously haven't. And unfortunately we're supporting them and protecting them, too,” One NYC resident said.

Members of the ITS declined to be interviewed for this story. But off-camera, their leader told CBN News that the group consists of mostly college students who live in New York City.

The Internet journal Worldnetdaily.com has reported that ITS is linked to al-Muhajiroun, a notorious British Islamist group that disbanded in 2004.

That group's former leader--Abu Hamza al-Masri--was convicted in a British court earlier this month of incitement to murder, among other offenses. ITS members deny any connection to al-Muhajiroun, but the black flag flown at ITS rallies--and its goal of a worldwide Islamic state--are identical to those of al-Muhajiroun.

Although this event lacked the violence that has been so prevalent in cartoon protests throughout the Muslim world, the message was eerily similar: America and Europe, your days are numbered.

Huh, who knew? And here the plot thickens....they have a quite informative website from which you can download the video of the whole event!
    Check out their page
  • here

  • Now they are also responding on this page to regarding their rights to demonstrate. Just a heads up, turn your speakers down if you don't want to be blasted by arabic. I think they are calling us to prayer as well as warning that if you "vote kaafir you are kaafir". Have fun, fellow infidels!!

Urgent call: stop the desecration of the Flight 93 Memorial!

Error Theory just got the following email announcing what could be a recognition of the camoflaged Islamic crescent in the Flight 93 Memorial design:

The meetings of the Flight 93 Memorial Task Force and the Flight 93 Federal Advisory Commission will be held on Saturday February 18, 2006. The Task Force meeting will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the Federal Advisory Commission meeting will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Both meetings are open to the public, and will be held at the Somerset County Courthouse, Courtroom #1, 111 East Union Street, Somerset Pennsylvania.

Mr. Paul Murdoch, of the winning memorial design team of Paul Murdoch Architects, Los Angeles, California, will be on hand to talk about the memorial design, and welcomes meeting more of the local community. In addition, a major, exciting announcement will be made at the Commission meeting, and the public will be able to meet the new National Fundraising Capital Campaign Chairman.

Superintendent Joanne Hanley stated, “We really want to open our arms to the public and invite them to attend as much of the day on Saturday as possible. It is important to attend both the Task Force and the Commission meetings to find out everything that is going on in relation to the Flight 93 Memorial project.”

The Task Force meeting time will include reports from the following committees: Family Memorial, Temporary Memorial Management, Government Liaison, Public Relations/Newsletter, Administration, Archives, and Communications Committee. In addition, the Task Force Nominating Committee is being reinstated to begin the nomination process to replace an Advisory Commission member who has resigned. This process will be reviewed at the Task Force meeting.

Briefings at the Commission meeting will include reports on land acquisition, next steps in the design and construction process, the General Management Plan, and an update on the fundraising effort including the announcement of leadership gifts.

Congress authorized the establishment of a federal commission to assist the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service with the formulation of plans for a permanent memorial to honor the passengers and crew of Flight 93. The Flight 93 Memorial Task Force is a grass roots organization comprised of family members, community residents, first responders, educators, and other local, regional and national participants. Members play an instrumental role in helping to create the permanent memorial and ensuring that the heroes of Flight 93 and the story of the design competition for the permanent memorial; the results of the Fundraising Feasibility Study; and many other aspects of memorial development. The final design for the permanent memorial was submitted to Congress and the Secretary of the Interior on September 23, 2005. The Commission and the Task Force both are working closely with the other project partners – the Families of Flight 93 and the National Park Service – to accomplish this goal.
Like Alec Rawls, who discusses this more in depth over here, I too am very disturbed by this news. Attempts to warn about the design have been ignored, but this meeting being held offers the chance for all concerned to expose the deception that Murdoch and the other weasels involved in the project are trying to foist upon the public. Remember, those savages murdered in the name of their religion, and to design it in the form of one of their symbols is exactly what they want. So let's not allow terrorists to be rewarded. Which is exactly the reason why Murdoch for one cannot be the architect of the design, as I made clear earlier.

    Flemming Rose: man of principle

Flemming Rose, Danish patriot and editor of Jyllands-Posten, has been waging his own culture war in Denmark. According to the IHT, Flemming learned to despise censorship during his 13 years as a journalist stationed in Moscow during the communist era. Rose has focused on the threat of Islam to Danish values and liberties. The IHT article is interesting even if the author isn’t completely sympathetic.

Time to write to your reps!

Update on the Flight 93 Memorial

    From this source:

"The Flight 93 Memorial Project just announced a pair of public meetings this Saturday at the Somerset County Courthouse where it promises 'a major, exciting announcement,' with architect Paul Murdoch in attendance.

"The Project’s last public meeting was the unveiling back in September of Paul Murdoch’s winning Crescent of Embrace design, with its half-mile wide Mecca-oriented crescent. It is very likely that Saturday’s meeting is to announce that Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton has given final approval to Murdoch’s design, based on the insignificant design changes announced in late November. The design is now called simply The Flight 93 Memorial instead of The Crescent of Embrace, but the half-mile wide Mecca-oriented crescent is still there, as are all of the other Islamic and jihadist design elements of the original Crescent design.

"Extensive efforts by hundreds of people to warn the Memorial Project about the Mecca orientation and other untoward design elements have all been ignored, but meeting offers a chance to expose this information (and the Project’s malfeasance) directly to the press and the public...."

    Norway Bans "Blashphemy"

This is the worst news I could have read, and believe me, I've been reading all of the same news that you all have!

    From: http://www.islam-online.net/English/News/2006-02/15/article04.shtml

    By Farahat Al-Abbar, IOL Correspondent

DOHA, February, 15 2006, (IslamOnline.net) – The Norwegian parliament has amended the Penal Code to criminalize blasphemy in the wake of the republication of Danish cartoons that lampooned Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) by a Norwegian magazine, Christian and Muslim leaders in Norway said on Tuesday, February 14.

"Law 150-A, which has been approved by parliament, criminalizes blasphemy and clearly prohibits despising others or lampooning religions in any form of expression, including the use of photographs," Norway's Deputy Archbishop Oliva Howika told reporters after a meeting in Doha with Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

Howika was among a Norwegian delegation that also included the chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in Norway, Mohamed Hamdan.

"Under the new law, the crime of blasphemy will be punished either by a fine or imprisonment," Howika said, promising Qaradawi to fax him a copy of the law after being published in the country's official gazette.

Hamdan regretted the burning of the Norwegian embassy in the Syrian capital Damascus, but said the government had blamed the magazine for the violent reaction.

"The Norwegian government made it clear more than one time that it would not condone blasphemy," he said.

Last September, Denmark's mass circulation daily Jyllands-Posten ran 12 cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). One of the photos showed the prophet as wearing a bomb-shaped turban and another showing him as a knife-wielding nomad flanked by shrouded women.

Many European newspapers, including the Norwegian Magazinet, reprinted the drawings, triggering an outcry across the Muslim world and calls to boycott Danish products and Norwegian products.

Any image of the Prophet -- let alone biting caricatures -- is considered blasphemous under Islam.

The editor of the Norwegian magazine at issue apologized to Muslims on February 10, for publishing the cartoons.

Vebjoern Selbekk, who initially defended his January 10 publication of the cartoons in his magazine as an expression of press freedom, appeared before TV cameras shaking hands after his apology with Muslim leaders.

    Apology Accepted

    Norway Bans

Hamdan (R) and Howika during the meeting with Qaradawi.
The delegation distributed copies of the magazine's apology note to the Muslim minority after the meeting with the prominent Muslim scholar as well as an apology translated into Arabic from the minister of labor.

"We accepted the apology in principle," Qaradawi said. "We do appreciate the Norwegian stance which is different from that taken [initially] by Denmark. The Norwegian prime minister has condemned the cartoons at the very outset."

The Danish newspaper has apologized for offending Muslims, although not for printing the drawings.

Four months after the publication, Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Monday, February 13, met with a Muslim group to discuss the fallout from the cartoons crisis. He initially refused to meet ambassadors of Muslim countries to contain the crisis under the pretext of free speech.

"Muslims want all people to live in peace, cooperation and love. We don't call for strife. All people are created by God, so there was no need for this strife," Qaradawi told reporters..

"We were deeply hurt by the cartoons. The Danish newspaper could have defused the crisis by offering an immediate apology to the Muslims. Had it apologized, the issue would have been resolved," he said.

He pointed out that there is a difference between "freedom of expression" and freedom of insulting"

"Freedom of expression is all about expressing an opinion. In the cartoons case, there is no opinion or counter-opinion," he said.

Qaradawi called anew on the United Nations to adopt a resolution banning blasphemy to head off similar incidents in the future. He also urged the European Union to criminalize blasphemy against any religion, including pagan religions.

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is pressing for a ban on religious intolerance to be part of the bedrock of a planned new United Nations human rights body.

According to the text of an OIC proposal, the new UN body should state clearly that the "defamation of religions and prophets is inconsistent with the right to freedom of expression" and that states, organizations and the media have a "responsibility in promoting tolerance and respect for religious and cultural values."

The OIC seems to be the organization putting the most weight on European leaders, and I think an investigation of them would be quite enlightening. Regardless, with this law as well as the OIC's attempt at chiming in on the new UN "doctrine", I feel that we have received many blows in this cartoon intifada, blows that accomplished their purpose. Will the tide yet turn? I'm not as sure now. I only hope that there is enough outrage over this in Europe as will surely be felt in the US, or at least by us Infidel Bloggers.

"Take Anything You Want From Me, Any Little Thing"

The European Union gets down on its knees and begs the Islamists not to hurt them:

Maybe if I act like I'm dead, the Muslims will leave me alone.

School textbooks should be reviewed for intolerant depictions of Islam and other faiths by experts overseen by the European Union and Islamic leaders, the European Parliament was told yesterday.

The call for a special committee to examine religious education in schools came from Hans-Gert Pöttering, the German Christian Democrat, who heads the largest group of MEPs. But the proposal was immediately condemned as “appeasement” by Charles Tannock, a British Conservative MEP.

Mr Pöttering, the head of the centre-Right, but largely federalist European People’s Party, said the work of building bridges between Islam and the West had to “begin with young people”.

During a debate intended to show Europe’s unity in the face of the row over cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, he said textbooks should be checked to ensure they promoted European values without propagating religious stereotypes or prejudice.

He also suggested that the EU could co-operate with the 56-nation Organisation of the Islamic Conference, which has its headquarters in Saudi Arabia, to create a textbook review committee.

“They could help to choose the experts to sit on this committee,” he said.

Charles at Little Green Footballs has a bunch of info on the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

Hint: They aren't a very friendly organization.

This Is The Dawning Of The Age Of Moral Clarity: No Aid For Hamas

And, the United States House of Representatives seconded that motion, voting that Hamas will not receive aid if they continue to call for the destruction of Israel:

The House measure approved Wednesday states that “no United States assistance should be provided directly to the Palestinian Authority if any representative political party holding a majority of parliamentary seats within the Palestinian Authority maintains a position calling for the destruction of Israel.”

House Majority Leader John Boehner, speaking before the vote, said the measure would send a message to Hamas that Washington means business as it presses the Islamist group to break with its past views on Israel’s right to exist.

“The United States is encouraged by the open, free, and fair elections held by the Palestinian people, and we will continue to support their democratic reform efforts,” Boehner said in a statement earlier Wednesday.

“At the same time, the new government must be aware of both its domestic responsibilities and international obligations,” he said.

“The responsibility of self-government has real consequences for both Hamas and the future of the Palestinian people. Until Hamas changes course — dismantles its terrorist organization, and agrees to work towards a peaceful settlement with Israel — no taxpayer money should be provided to support the Palestinian government.

”Our message is clear,“ the Republican leader added. ”The United States does not and will not support terrorist organizations."

Malaysia Punishes Free Speech By Shutting Down Paper

Oh and just to clear things up, the paper didn't actually print the cartoons. They merely printed a picture of a man reading a different paper that printed the cartoons :

A Malaysian reads a copy of Guang Ming Daily in front of a newsstand in downtown Penang island, Malaysia, Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006. Malaysia has ordered the Chinese-language daily to halt publication of its evening edition for two weeks as punishment for printing a photograph showing Danish cartoons of Prophet Muhamad. The headline reads "Guang Ming evening edition suspended for two weeks."

KUALA LUMPUR: The afternoon edition of Guangming Daily has been suspended for two weeks from Feb 16 to March 1, the Internal Security Ministry said in a statement.

The order was issued to Guang-Ming Ribao Sdn Bhd under the powers provided for under subsection 6 (2) of the Printing Presses and Publications Act, 1984.

The statement said the Penang-based newspaper had contravened permit conditions by publishing a photograph that featured the caricatures of Prophet Muhammad.

“The decision was made after the newspaper published an article on Feb 3 titled European media inflame controversy by reprinting caricatures and Denmark newspapers insult Islam, tender apologies which also carried the caricature,” it said yesterday.

“The publication of the said article was an offence and contravened the permit conditions provided for in the Act.”

The statement also announced that the ministry had also issued an order under subsection 7 (1) of the Act, prohibiting the printing, importing, producing, reproducing, distributing, disseminating and possession of such articles in the country, which might jeopardise public order, harmony and security and might jolt the mind of the people.

The order under the Printing Presses and Publications Rules (Control of Undesirable Publications) 2006 would come into effect today.

On Tuesday, two Guangming Daily senior editors gave Internal Security Ministry officials a letter explaining the paper’s use of the photograph.

Guang-Ming Ribao Sdn Bhd later sent a letter to Bursa Malaysia, explaining that it had unintentionally published a photograph from the AFP news agency in its Penang evening edition, which showed a person reading a newspaper carrying one of the Danish caricatures.

and who said Islam and democracy aren't compatible?

    Charles Johnson: High Priest

Gee, and I always thought of Charles as just being one of my blog heros. But now, thanks to Mark Shea, I now know that he's the leader of a religious cult.

Mark posts and responds to a letter from a reader who thinks President Bush is the Antichrist, containing links to two posts by someone named Glenn Greenwald. For Mark, the "crucial point" that Greenwald makes is this:
It used to be the case that in order to be considered a "liberal" or someone "of the Left," one had to actually ascribe to liberal views on the important policy issues of the day – social spending, abortion, the death penalty, affirmative action, immigration, "judicial activism," hate speech laws, gay rights, utopian foreign policies, etc. etc. These days, to be a "liberal," such views are no longer necessary.

Now, in order to be considered a "liberal," only one thing is required – a failure to pledge blind loyalty to George W. Bush. The minute one criticizes him is the minute that one becomes a "liberal," regardless of the ground on which the criticism is based. And the more one criticizes him, by definition, the more "liberal" one is. Whether one is a "liberal" -- or, for that matter, a "conservative" -- is now no longer a function of one’s actual political views, but is a function purely of one’s personal loyalty to George Bush.
And what blinding flashes of insight flow from Mark's keyboard upon finding such pearls of Bush Derangement Syndrome wisdom?
In my experience, this has often been the case, though I also think my experience is tempered by the fact that my audience is largely Catholic and therefore is not nearly as given as, say, the readers of Little Green Footballs to making their ideology a substitute religion. Certainly, I have been labeled a "traitor" by some for my failure get on board with the war and with Bushie excuses for torture.[...]
In case the Mark Shea experience is new for any of you, it's all personal--none of it's business. If you don't show up in his comboxes to commiserate with him ("In my [undeservedly painful] experience") about how he really was a good boy, and agree that Daddy was mean to him, then you're evil, naughty, and bad!--as you'll find out below:
Finally, I'm wary of dragging Antichrist into the discussion without a great deal of qualification, precisely because of the kneejerk tendency of Bush devotees to make easy dismissals of critiques because of a false word.
"Wary...because of those wily goose-stepping Bushitler clones who get all upset about, like, words instead of just LIKING ME! IS THAT SO BAD?! MOOOMMMM!"
When antichrist comes, he will have enthusiastic support from both sides of the aisle. There is something in all of us that hungers for the promise of secular messianic solutions to our problems. Despite the screams of Greenwald's readers about "Bush Derangement Syndrome" the interesting thing about both those entries is that they do not seem to me to be about Bush, but about his devotees. What has struck me all along in the torture debates is how much further apologists for torture in my comboxes are willing to go to justify torture than any Administration spokesman would ever go. Impalement? Fine! The Church has no problem with that. It is a comment on us, not on Bush, that we are willing to pre-emptively justify such things, should Caesar wish to do them. And that's on this blog. Over on Little Green Footballs one finds (routinely) a slavering horde of people in the comboxes who would gladly grant Caesar the power to, not just to torture, but to unleash a nuclear holocaust, put all perceived enemies of the state in concentration camps, and generally "do whatever is necessary" to keep us safe. Here and throughout St. Blog's, such D'Hippolitan thinking is the kooky exception and kooks who advocate mass murder as an instrument of US policy are booted from comboxes (with rare exceptions).
The kook he's referring to is yours truly, btw. Without any links to prove what he's saying. Unlike the links on his blog that approvingly link to one of Pat Buchanan's smear jobs on Israel, and then defend that linking in a later post.
On LGF, the suggestion that all New Jersey Muslims be rounded up, locked in a mosque and subjected to artillery fire as retribution for a terrorist act in Iraq is acceptable political discourse that is a normal part of the landscape. And they think they are conservative.
You know, I don't know if Charles is the leader of a religious cult that makes "ideology a substitute religion" or not; though my guess is that, as a Catholic, Charles would find such a suggestion blasphemous. The only cult I see going on here is one that has as its object of adoration a little unloved boy masquerading as a serious commenter on matters best left to adults.

Another Kassam rocket lands in the southwestern Negev

    From Israel National News:
    17:45 Feb 15, '06 / 17 Shevat 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Arab terrorists fired a Kassam rocket a short time ago from Palestinian Authority-controlled Gaza into the southwestern Negev. There were no injuries reported in the attack.

The rocket apparently fell in an open, uninhabited area.
Joesettler also notes that the Islamofascists in Gaza have come very close to hitting fuel tanks with their foul missiles, and whether or not they've hit one today doesn't mean they won't succeed in doing so tomorrow. The Israeli MSM, however, chooses to downplay it whenever they can.

Hamas : We Are A Nation That Drinks Blood, And We know That There Is No Blood Better Than The Blood Of Jews

Speechless, but not shocked. Just watch as this is a MUST SEE VIDEO of the true intentions of Muslims towards Jews (and all other non-Muslims), which is outlined clearly in the Quran and Hadeeth (thanks to PMW who found this video) :

click the picture to watch the video

Article and transcript from PMW :

The Hamas website this week presented the parting video messages of two Hamas suicide terrorists. One message was for Jews, whose blood Hamas promises to drink until Jews "leave the Muslim countries," and the second to a mother, as she helps dress her son for battle prior to his suicide terror mission.

Each terrorist had a separate message for Jews. This first said,
"My message to the loathed Jews is that there is no god but Allah, we will chase you everywhere! We are a nation that drinks blood, and we know that there is no blood better than the blood of Jews. We will not leave you alone until we have quenched our thirst with your blood, and our children's thirst with your blood. We will not leave until you leave the Muslim countries."

The second terrorist said the following:
"In the name of Allah, we will destroy you, blow you up, take revenge against you, [and] purify the land of you, pigs that have defiled our country... This operation is revenge against the sons of monkeys and pigs."

One of the terrorists saw his death as a wedding with the Maidens of Paradise:
"I dedicate this wedding [i.e. death for Allah] to all of those who have chosen Allah as their goal, the Quran as their constitution and the Prophet [Muhammad] as their role model. Jihad is the only way to liberate Palestine - all of Palestine - from the impurity of the Jews."

The message to one of the terrorist's mother was instruction for her to be joyous over his death and his "wedding" with the "Maidens of Paradise."
"My dear mother, you who have cared for me, today I sacrifice my life to be your intercessor [on Judgment Day]. O my love and soul, wipe your tears, don't be saddened. In the name of Allah, I've achieve all that I've aspired. Don't let me see you sad on my wedding day with the Maidens of Paradise. So be happy and not sad, because in the name of Allah, after death is merciful Allah's paradise."

Included in the clip is the farewell scene between the mother and terrorist son while she helps him don his military vest. In the background one can hear the lyrics, "My dear mother, don't cry over us."

I was not planning on posting anymore tonight, but J's latest post...

J's post was great, and I took it in the direction of 'Why is the Western media so afraid to take on Islamofascism?'

    Who's Minding Our Ports?

Outsourcing which could jeopardize national security is about to be implemented.

From The Center for Security Policy, February 14, 2006:

"...[A] secretive government committee has decided to turn over the management of six of the Nation's most important ports - in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Miami, Baltimore and New Orleans - to Dubai Ports World following the UAE [United Arab Emirates] company's purchase of London-based Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., which previously had the contract....

"America's seaports have long been recognized by homeland security experts as among our most vulnerable targets....

"Entrusting information about key U.S. ports - including, presumably, government-approved plans for securing them, to say nothing of the responsibility for controlling physical access to these facilities - to a country known to have been penetrated by terrorists is not just irresponsible. It is recklessly so...."

"Mohammad is the Prophet of compassion" And They'll Bomb You To Prove It

I posted this on my blog 6 hours ago. The story is nearly 11 hours old. Yet none of the mainstream British news outlets have said a word on this attack on the British embassy in Iran :

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Scores of Iranian demonstrators hurled petrol bombs at the British embassy on Tuesday in renewed protests over the publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad and Western opposition to Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

The protesters, mostly religious seminary students, chanted "Death to Tony Blair", "Death to Britain" and Death to America" while throwing hundreds of stones at the embassy buildings, smashing many windows.

The Danish cartoons have been reproduced by only a handful of British media outlets, but much more widely in other European countries. Violent protests have also taken place outside the Tehran embassies of Denmark, Norway, Austria, France and Germany.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has accused Iran's and Syria's governments of stoking popular anger over the cartoons, but several Iranian officials have in recent days urged protesters not to attack or damage foreign embassies.

Among the crowd outside the British embassy were at least five donkeys draped with the flags of countries such as the United States and Denmark, and a dog wrapped in an Israeli flag. The crowd later burnt the flags.

"Insulting the Prophet disgusts us and nuclear energy gives us dignity," the crowd of about 200 people shouted. The West suspects Iran of trying to build nuclear weapons.

Cheers erupted when a petrol bomb was thrown over the high wall surrounding the embassy compound in central Tehran. Several other petrol bombs struck the wall and the embassy's main gate.

Scuffles broke out between the protesters and dozens of riot police trying to prevent the crowd from surging towards the embassy gates.

Stones and firecrackers were thrown at the nearby German embassy by a smaller crowd of protesters earlier on Tuesday.

"Europe, Europe this is the last warning. Mohammad is the Prophet of compassion, America is the cause of all misery," the crowd of about 50 chanted outside the German embassy.

The Rest Of The Story: Cheney, Wittington, And Halliburton

I am very sorry to have to bring this news to you. It seems that Dick Cheney is not the man we all believed him to be. In fact, many of his most brutal critics appear to be much closer to the truth.

    The Fu2rman has the goods:

Vice President Mistakenly Shoots Hunting Buddy

This story is so unbelievable, you won't believe it.

First of all, there are so many complex issues at work here, I'm going to try to keep it as easy to follow as possible.

OK, Harry Whittington was the lawyer that Cheney shot, and he is on the Board of Directors of Haliburton. Haliburton is in the midst of a big-time under-the-table no-bid contract, and it seems Whittington was not getting behind it.

He apparently was getting cold feet about the deal, and didn't want to be a part of it, because 'it was unethical' or something like that.

No big deal, so far, but check this out, the only way he could be removed from the Board of Haliburton, is...One, if he sells all of his shares in the company and foregoes all of his stock options. Or the other way is if he dies, in which case all of his shares and options go back to Haliburton, and cannot be willed or put in trust for his family. Of course, the Board of Haliburton asked him to sell his stock, and give up his options, he said No.

And that is what Cheney was discussing with him on the hunting trip. Cheney was going to try to convince hime to change his mind.As it goes, Cheney could not get Whittington to agree to these terms, so they went to plan B.A hunting 'accident'. The problem was that there was a mix up in the rifles, Whittington was supposed to be given the rifle loaded with the birdshot, (little BB's packed into a shotgun shell), and Cheney was supposed to be given the rifle that would have been lethal to a person.

It's a good thing Whittington didn't shoot a bird, or there would have been nothing left of it.Of course, GW Bush knew about the plan because he gets kick backs from Haliburton, and that is why the White House took so much time to respond.

From what I heard, Bush was so angry about the mishap, that he went on a 15 hour drinking binge, plus he had all of his kick back money, bet on the Pro-Bowl, and now that was in jeopardy! So what are they going to do about Whittington? Good question.

Go to Fu2rman for the rest of the story.

Two-faced British imam gets caught in the act

This should serve as a leading example of Islamofascists who talk out of multiple sides of their mouths. The UK Times (via IRIS Blog) reports about an imam who'd condemned the London suicide bombings in July 2005, who was later discovered praising the bombers in a meeting held at his mosque in Yorkshire:
A LEADING imam in the mosque where the July 7 bombers worshipped has hailed their terrorist attack on London as a “good” act in a secretly taped conversation with an undercover reporter.

Hamid Ali, spiritual leader of the mosque in West Yorkshire, said it had forced people to take notice when peaceful meetings and conferences had no impact.

He also praised the bombers as the “children” of Abdullah al-Faisal, a firebrand Muslim cleric, who was convicted of inciting murder and racial hatred in 2003.

Ali revealed that the leader of the London suicide bombers had attended sermons in Yorkshire by al-Faisal and tapes of al-Faisal’s teachings were still circulating within his mosque.

Al-Faisal, who has branded non-Muslims as “cockroaches” ripe for extermination, is serving a seven-year prison sentence but is eligible for early release next week.

Evidence of continuing extremism and terrorist sympathisers in the bombers’ community has been exposed by a six-week investigation by The Sunday Times. It contrasts with the public statements of condemnation by community leaders — including Ali — in the immediate aftermath of the July 7 attacks.
And if al-Faisal is going to incite against the west and those he considers dhimmis, that's why it'd be ill-advised to release him from prison.

With this news, this is why authorities are strongly advised not to be duped by imams and clerics who say they're opposed to violence, racism and terrorism, and to keep an eye on them for any acts of duplicity they might be committing.

The Infidel Bloggers Alliance Golden Balls Award: Italian Reform Minister Wears Mohammed Cartoon T-Shirt

ROME (Reuters) - Italy's Reform Minister Roberto Calderoli has had T-shirts made emblazoned with cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad in a move that could embarrass Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's government.

Calderoli, a member of the anti-immigrant Northern League party, told Ansa news agency on Tuesday that the West had to stand up against Islamist extremists and offered to hand out T-shirts to anyone who wanted them.

"I have had T-shirts made with the cartoons that have upset Islam and I will start wearing them today," Ansa quoted Calderoli as saying.

He said the T-shirts were not meant to be a provocation but added that he saw no point trying to appease extremists.

"We have to put an end to this story that we can talk to these people. They only want to humiliate people. Full stop. And what are we becoming? The civilization of melted butter?" Calderoli said.

Sometimes You Just Gotta Love Your Enemies: Palestinian Good Cop/Bad Cop Strategy Edition

We've always known the Palestinians play Good Cop/Bad Cop. Fatah is the "peaceful" ruling party, while Al-Aqsa is the "military wing." The Palestinian Authority is the moderate party, while Hamas are the extremists.

Well, the mask is off now. Watch, as the Palestinians try to now pass off Hamas (they of the "Kill the Jews" charter) as the peace-seekers, while Fatah and Islamic Jihad are now the extremists. Watch as this becomes the new meme in the media.

But, you would have to be a fool (or an EU official) to believe it:

With Hamas now in power, the long-ruling Fatah party and its "military wing" Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades forced into the opposition, and Israel announcing it will soon withdraw from the West Bank, Palestinian terror leaders tell WorldNetDaily recent events here are leading them to launch what they call a third intifada – or violent confrontation – against Israel consisting of suicide bombings, rocket attacks against Jewish communities and "a few new surprises in our arsenal."

Some terror leaders, particularly from the Al Aqsa Brigades, whose associated Fatah party scored poorly in last month's parliamentary elections, say they are planning massive violence against Israeli civilians mostly to revolt against the new Hamas-controlled Palestinian government.

"The new intifada is only a question of time and this will be the hardest and the most dangerous one. It's just about timing until the order to blow up a new wave of attacks will be given," Abu Nasser, a senior Al Aqsa Brigades leader from the Balata refugee camp in northern Samaria told WorldNetDaily in an interview.
Israel expecting new wave of terror

In the last 10 days Israeli forces intercepted 12 potential suicide bombers and have stopped several dozen bombings the past few months, prompting fears of "a new and worrisome wave of terror," said Yuval Diskin, head of Israel's Shin Bet security services.

The Al Aqsa Brigades was formed in 2000 by then-PLO leader Yasser Arafat as a military offshoot of the Fatah party. PA President Mahmoud Abbas signed a cease fire with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon last February, to which the Brigades was party – but the terror group continued carrying out attacks.

Al Aqsa's Abu Nasser claims Israel put Hamas in power, and says his group is preparing a new terror onslaught as a result.

"For the last 10 months we respected a cease fire expecting to see changes in the lives of the Palestinian people, but we received from the Israeli side more assassinations ... and above all we received the Hamas victory, which seems to be the result of an Israeli and international conspiracy. They believe that Hamas will give up easier our lands and rights. I think that they are right, but we will not allow this to happen. We will fight and we will blow up the new intifada," Abu Nasser told WND.

Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal over the weekend said his group might sign a long-term cease fire with Israel, but told reporters he will not ask other Palestinian group to stop attacks.

Abu Nasser told WND the Brigades will not respect any cease fire agreed to by Hamas and will not halt attacks at Hamas' request.

"I am sure Hamas will start arresting us, but it will not be that easy [for them]," said Abu Nasser. "We are preparing ourselves for the worst scenario."

You see what I mean? This is the same talk that we've always heard, only now the roles are reversed.

Man, you gotta love your enemies when they tell you the truth. Thanks, idiots.

The Twilight Of Free Speech? EU Policy Minister, Javier Solana, Supports Ban of "Religious Defamation"

Javier Solana is touring Islamic states begging for forgiveness and promising to ban Free Speech, if the Muslims will only calm down. That's some bargaining, huh? What a pussy:

The European Union and a major grouping of Islamic countries would back United Nations action to stop "defamation of religion" after cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad provoked violent protests worldwide.

The Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is lobbying for the United Nations to include language against blasphemy in the tenets of a new human rights body and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said he supported the idea.

"We agreed to take different measures including at the level of the United Nations to guarantee these acts will not be repeated," OIC Ekmelettin Ihsanoglu Secretary General said in Jeddah.

The head of the 57-nation body was speaking at a press conference with Solana, who arrived overnight in the birthplace of Islam at the start of a Middle East tour to try and calm the furore over caricatures. "We have been talking today on how we can send a message to the people in both communities, the Islamic and European, that we need this not to happen again ... We strongly hope that people will be now sensible to understand that," Solana said.

"Be sure we are going to do our utmost for this not to happen again, because we need each other... I don't think honestly it will happen again," he added. Ihsanoglu said he also wanted the EU to pass blasphemy laws. "I have proposed many ideas, legislative measures to be taken by the European Union," he said.

But Solana made no comment on the idea of EU measures. Solana has said he hopes to turn the tide in the cartoon furore during his Middle East visit. He was due to meet King Abdullah in the capital Riyadh later on Monday, before heading to Egypt, Jordan, the Palestinian territories and Israel.

Sharia and the Shahada: Where is OUR Outrage?

I recently challenged a muslim man in one of my favorite restaurants, a Hindu owned and operated Indian restaurant which has recently made the unfortunate decision to start serving halal meat (meat prepared to the standard of muslim law). The man and his enshrouded female companion were seated next to me, though that would have made little difference considering the decibel level in which he chose to make his arguments over his cell phone. He was, of course, arguing with someone who seemed to be seeking to quote him regarding the now-infamous muhammad cartoons (all uncapitalized words MY EMPHASIS). He ranted and raved on his phone that the cartoons were an insult and an incitement to muslims and therefor should not be allowed in print and must be protested to the last breath of every muslim alive today.

Once he finished his call, he stood up and I had to ask him (being an afternoon buffet, one never knows another diner's motive in leaving their seat), "Sir, are you leaving now, or should I simply ask to be reseated?". When he asked why I would want to be reseated, I simply told him that I did not prefer to lose my appetite by having to listen to such offensive speech and displays of religious arrogance. He was clearly quite angry with my statement, but I was much more angry with the arrogance I have been feeling over the cartoon protests, dhimmitude, sharia (islamic law) and the most offensive of all in my opinion, the muslim shahada (profession of faith).

He informed me that he was in fact leaving and that I was obviously "filled with hate". With that rock thrown from his little glass house, I promptly informed him that he should carefully consider that he and his co-religionists have been invited freely to practice their religion in Western countries, but that if he wanted a true example of incitement, insult to another's religion or arrogance, he needed look no further than the muslim shahada. I then repeated the words (never fear, if they are spoken without belief, they do not render the speaker automatically a muslim, and I remain a proud infidel!), "There is no god but allah, and muhammad is his prophet". I told the man that by this very statement/doctrine, muslims had provided an incitement and rather deep insult to every other religion on the planet. The man at this simply repeated that I was "filled with hate" and promptly left the restaurant.
