Rioters rampage for 3rd day in main Greek cities

Chanting Allahu Akbar, they wreak destruction in Athens

ATHENS, Greece – Gangs of youths smashed their way through central Athens, Thessaloniki and other Greek cities into the early hours Tuesday, torching stores, buildings and cars in a third day of mayhem after the fatal police shooting of a teenager.

In the country's worst rioting in decades, dozens of shops, banks and luxury hotels had their windows smashed as youths fought running battles with riot police. Black smoke rose above the city center, mingling with clouds of tear gas. Broken glass littered the streets.

Hundreds of high school and university students joined self-styled anarchists in throwing everything from fruit and coins to rocks and Molotov cocktails at police and attacked police stations throughout the day. Police said some rioters were armed with crossbows, knives and swords.

"Cops! Pigs! Murderers!" protesters screamed at riot police.

Police said early Tuesday that 89 people had been arrested in Athensfor attacking police officers, vandalism and looting and 79 more were being questioned about possible involvement in the rioting. The fire service said it responded to more than 200 blazes in central Athens on Monday, about half of them in buildings and the rest in cars and trash bins used as barricades.

Greece suffers under wave of asylum seeker caused violence

Greek police have clashed with hundreds of migrants waiting to submit asylum applications in Athens.
A riot broke out after one would be refugee plunged into a canal in exactly the same place where another asylum seeker was killed earlier this year.
Community leaders and politicians are warning that Athens inner city is at risk of becoming a racial battleground and are appealing for European assistance to defuse rising tension.
This year, Greece, has attracted a record 80 thousand illegal immigrants, but has been criticized by Europe for failing to help asylum seekers
From Athens, Malcolm Brabant

Riots in Greece - Islamic Immigration - Eurabia http://theproblemwithmostarabmuslims.blogspot.com/2008/12/riots-in-greece-islamic-immigration.html

The media here in the UK has said nothing about rioting immigrants just communist anarchists. Manipulating bastards!!

You're confusing two stories. The riots all across Greece were started when police shot a Greek boy and are run by Greek anarchists/youth.

There was an additional 'smaller' riot of several hundred refugees after a refugee died.

Right, I'm sure the anarchists and the Islamists have nothing in common. Especially when they are young and stupid.

Anonymous,
You know what?

I don't believe you.

Provide links, not just admonishments.

Pastorius said...

I love people who come here and tell us we're wrong about what we post, but never provide any proof.

I wonder if Anonymous also believes the U.S. government was the one who destroyed the WTC.

Pastorius said...

I checked on Anonymous' comment. It seems the person who was shot did have a Greek name:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article5307019.ece

Witnesses said that the trouble began shortly after midnight on Saturday when several dozen young people sitting at outdoor cafés in the centre of Athens hurled insults at a passing patrol car. The car stopped and two policemen got out to confront the youths.

After what seems to have been a heated exchange, one of the policemen drew his weapon and fired three times, once towards the ground and twice in the air. Andreas Grigoropoulos, a 15-year-old, collapsed with a bullet in his chest and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

However, I want to note something here. I did not post on this riot, until I had confirmation of Muslim involvement in it.

And honestly, I do not believe the riots momentum comes without HEAVY Muslim involvement. Euros can't get their cocks up enough to riot for three days.

I usually assume that youths = immigrants (mostly Muslims), but this time it just doesn't seem like it.

First, the boy killed was Greek. Alexis or Alexandros Grigoropoulos.

The asylum seekers were rioting for a completely different reason: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5jW3OkF5W4p7I7qXcSUuUJhBQ_ZXA

The refugee riot lasted for an hour. The youth riots have been going on for four days.

In the news, the Greeks are not talking about problems with disaffected youth or with immigrants, they're talking about problems with the young generation in general.

It's easy to blame the Muslims for everything, but Europeans are quite capable of running wild on their own (see Greece, France etc)

Anonymous said...

France - I was talking about the union protests, not the 2005 'immigrant youth' ones.

Anonymous said...

Pastorius, I didn't bring any 'proof' because you yourself brought it. You posted two articles, and all I did was point out that those two articles are talking about two different stories. The video relates to the second story, not to the first.

I don't see what this has to do with WTC. Did I claim that Greek youths toppled the Twin Towers?

Anonymous said...

Pastorius, I'm going to agree with Anon upthread, the first couple days were not the usual "youth riots". It's important to recognize all threats, and believe me when I say the anarchists and neo fascists are also both dangerous to Europe's future. The third day did bring in Muslim rioters as well, and you can bet there are Muslim Anarchists as well, I've noted a recent trend the past three to four months in forums and other jihadi sites that makes me think that the younger set are now starting to lean away from Qutbism and towards Marxism more.
That said, it's important to call it factually, because the blak bloker / anarcho fascists are pretty dangerous in their own right.

You are right to link these two riots

If you check out the first video from the BBC and right at the end you will see the muslims carrying posters with “Stop the War Coalition” Logo

Now please open the link that which Anonymous posted in an above comment

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5jW3OkF5W4p7I7qXcSUuUJhBQ_ZXA

As the AP article above mentions “Stop the War Coalition” shouldn't we take a closer look at this sinister group

The Stop the War Coalition is a United Kingdom anti-war group set up on 21 September 2001.

The coalition has opposed the various wars that are claimed to be part of the ongoing war on terrorism. It has been the most prominent group in Britain campaigning against the war in Afghanistan and the Iraq War.

At their initial meeting the Coalition also adopted the slogan ‘Against the racist backlash’, asserting that a war against Afghanistan would be perceived as an attack on Islam and that Muslims, or those perceived as Muslim, would face racist attacks in Britain if the government joined the war. The Coalition worked closely with the Muslim Association of Britain in organising its demonstrations.

Just a few of its leaders

Tony Benn: British socialist politician

George Galloway: Good friend of the late Uday Hussein,

Yvonne Ridley: Traitor supreme

Andrew Murray: Leader of Communist Party of Britain.

Salma Yaqoob: Spokesperson for Birmingham Central Mosque.

Tariq Ali: critical of American and Israeli foreign policies

Jeremy Bernard Corbyn: is an MP sponsored by the UNISON trade union, and is a committed anti-fascist and calls for no platform to the BNP

The first open event of the “Coalition” in Greece was held on 29 October 2002 in the Theater Academy in Athens. The first open event of the “Alliance” was held on 29 October 2002 in the Theater Academy in Athens. The event, attended, in a packed hall, hundreds of people had been invited, among other speakers and Jeremy Corbyn

One year later

Even the crowds at the Thessaloniki protest were far smaller than the 100,000 forecast by organizers like the Stop the War coalition and the Genoa 2001 Initiative.

For those who need help, look at the flag

Thats right, the black and red anarchy flag

Any body who throws a molotov at a police officer deserves to be shot

And personally I do not think he was so innocent as the MSM are making out

Most probably he was out with other anarkos in support of the muslims who rioted early in the day

Shiva,

I think Islam is very deep in this.

Anonymous says Euros are perfectly capable of carrying on on their own. True, they riot over labor issues, but that's basically when someone violates their laziness. And, they don't riot intensely setting fires for days on end. The last time Euros had that much energy that I know of was 1968.

Anyway, my Euro friends, it isn't all negative for me to say that. Rioting is stupid, unless you are rioting against an existential threat.

Until Euros start rioting against the EU or against the Islamic Jihad, then I won't think they have good reason anyway.

Ok, sorry I'm being a dick.

I disagree with you on many things, but as for you being a dick once again I can not agree with you.

You are one of the few people who have linked the riots

I have just looked at the video again and at 2.09 the Stop the War logo can again be seen

The muslims first rioted because some disheveled fell into patch of water. He survived. But the peace and quiet of Athens did not. Leftists/anarchists/students immediately organized their own riot in sympathy, and a boy was duly shot three times by a trigger-happy but probably very frightened policeman,

More riots. The MSM take the opportunity to banish the immigrant factor from their coverage, which is only what we have grown to expect.

Now this is not the first time, In October a Pakistani died, possibly by drowning, during an immigrant riot outside an Athens asylum processing centre.

http://www.athensnews.gr/athweb/nathens.print_unique?e=C&f=13311&m=A14&aa=1&eidos=S

The video depicts the funeral of the victim Mohammed Ashraf who, according to some of his relatives who found him under a bridge, slipped to his death while taking a piss

Yes Islam is very much involved, but you do not seem to understand the situation in Europe, after your statement "The last time Euros had that much energy that I know of was 1968." Just google riots Norrebro, and you will just see how wrong you are.

By the way, it is the same thugs that are rioting in Athens that are also behind the riots in Copenhagen.

Now here is another riot that maybe overlooked

Immigrant stabbing prompts S.Spain riot, 6 arrests

A Civil Guard statement said Sega S., 24, was stabbed on Sunday night and died from his injuries early on Monday. Police arrested three Moroccans, one of them the suspected killer.
