"Reformist" cleric threatens U.S., Israel, says that Jews bring "corruption to the world"

When will the world's media apologize to us for lying to us by telling us that various clerics and Mosques, and Muslim organizations are "moderate", or "reformist".

Here's the thing, these moderate reformists keep threatening, preaching hate and violence, and sometimes even killing people.

It's getting so I think that's what Moderate Islam is all about. Silly me.

Al-Qaradawi has been praised by establishment dhimmi Islamic scholar John Esposito as a champion of a "reformist interpretation of Islam and its relationship to democracy, pluralism and human rights." But in this Al-Qaradawi is preaching that old time religion, based on the Qur'an's description of the Jews as "the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe" (5:82). Note also that the Qur'an prescribes amputation or crucifixion for those who spread "corruption in the world": "The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom..." (5:33).

Doha, 9 Jan. (AKI) - Prominent Egyptian cleric Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi has blamed the Jews for bringing 'corruption to the world'. "I tell the Jews that God will not praise he who oppresses. You have brought corruption to the world at least twice during your history," said Qaradawi during Friday prayers at the Ibn al-Khattab mosque in the Qatari capital Doha, quoted by Arab TV station Al-Jazeera.

"For days we have been seeing the martyrs in Gaza with our own eyes and nobody is doing anything," he said. "The people are calling out for something to be done, but no-one is responding to them."

"From here, from this pulpit, I send a message to the Jewish aggressors and to the West who supports Israel, in particular to the United States, that the promised day is approaching."

Qaradawi, who heads the Union of Islamic Scholars, is one of the ideologues of the banned Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood....
