WASHINGTON (AP) - The State Department says that North Korea has launched a rocket, following through on its promise of a launch despite international criticism.State Department spokesman Fred Lash confirmed the launch, saying it occurred at 10:30 p.m. EDT Saturday.
"We look on this as a provocative act," said Lash.

Even if it is a satellite they sent up, I so feel like ducking and covering right now.

Pentagon with all the radars they need say the third stage hit the ocean, and that IF it was a satellite launch it failed.
I don't believe it was a satellite attempt.
I believe they think we're all full of shit over here and they appear to be right. AS DO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE PAYING FOR THE NORK MISSILE AND NUKE PROGRAM.
I believe part of the purpose was that they proved not only that they can and will test missiles which will carry nukes, but that the USA and the west can't and won't do a damned thing.
