** Spread of disease and how it is healed- It's not clear how Islam contributed to the understanding of disease but today Muslim Sharia Councils inNigeria and Pakistan have opposed vaccinations in their districts.

** Racial Equality- Muhammad and many of his companions bought, sold, freed, and captured slaves. At the end of the 19th century, a shift in Muslim thought and interpretation of the Qur'an occurred, and slavery became seen as opposed to Islamic principles of justice and equality. This interpretation has not been accepted by the Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia. The Muslims invented almost nothing. In fact, I would contend that Islam, itself, is not even a new religion born in the 7th Century. But is, instead, an extension of the worship of Moloch, the god who demanded human sacrifice.

Wikipedia is not an academically quotable source. If you're going to make claims, please cite legitimate sources and references, lest people think you are just some crazy person.
While they are not fantastically tolerant of other religions, those monotheistic religions such as Christianity and Judaism are granted special status in their eyes. Historically, they have allowed more religious freedom in their cities than any catholic or protestant rulership, and have never forced conversion or death on people the way Christianity has often done.
Just for the record, I am not Islamic, I do support Obama, and were he muslim, I wouldn't really care. You might as well be screaming "he's mexican! he can't be president because he's mexican!" and you would sound just as intelligent and logical as you do now.
