All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
You know what's weird about this period of Weather Report?
Jaco, Joe, and Peter Erskine were playing great, but Shorter was not.
In fact, if I am not mistaken, they called the album Mr. Gone by that title because that is what they called him at the time.
He seemed to have lost all his subtlety and fluidity during those years.
Now, I saw them in concert several times and it seemed like he was looser on stage, but in recording he played almost like a High School player with Weather Report.

Awesome, my favorite fretless bass line of all time.
I'm with Drewc4 above, of course.

I wonder if he just did not like the music.
Here is an absolutely incredible performance from him, circa 1980.
I saw this tour. I had the privelige to see WR in Pasadena that year.
Need the link for the video, Pasto.
Oops, sorry about that.
