Obama Advisor On Muslim Affairs: Women Love Sharia Law

From the Daily Telegraph:

President Barack Obama's adviser on Muslim affairs, Dalia Mogahed, has provoked controversy by appearing on a British television show hosted by a member of an extremist group to talk about Sharia Law.

Miss Mogahed, appointed to the President's Council on Faith-Based and Neighbourhood Partnerships, said the Western view of Sharia was "oversimplified" and the majority of women around the world associate it with "gender justice".

The White House adviser made the remarks on a London-based TV discussion programme hosted by Ibtihal Bsis, a member of the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party.

The group believes in the non-violent destruction of Western democracy and the creation of an Islamic state under Sharia Law across the world.

Miss Mogahed appeared alongside Hizb ut Tahrir's national women's officer, Nazreen Nawaz.

During the 45-minute discussion, on the Islam Channel programme Muslimah Dilemma earlier this week, the two members of the group made repeated attacks on secular "man-made law" and the West's "lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism".

They called for Sharia Law to be "the source of legislation" and said that women should not be "permitted to hold a position of leadership in government".

Miss Mogahed made no challenge to these demands and said that "promiscuity" and the "breakdown of traditional values" were what Muslims admired least about the West.

She said: "I think the reason so many women support Sharia is because they have a very different understanding of sharia than the common perception in Western media.

"The majority of women around the world associate gender justice, or justice for women, with sharia compliance.

So, let;'s count this up. In the last few months, Obama has appointed

1) a self-avowed Black Nationalist - Van Jones

2) John Holdren, who has called for forced abortions and sterilization.

3) Mark Lloyd, Chief Diversity Officer of the FCC, who has called for the enforced Liberalization of Talk Radio.

4) Cass Sunstein who, it was realed today, says that the only reason America has not become a Socialist nation is because white people in America are too racist.

5) Kevin Jennings, the "Safe-School Czar" who has praised the Founder of the North American Man/Boy Love Association.

6) Dalia Mogahed, supporter of Sharia law

And, this is a short list. But, I'd say we're getting the picture. Obama is ok with all these things. If he is ok with racism, "Black Nationalism", the stereotyping of white people as being too racist to

be decent, Pedophilia, and anti-free speech legislation, then it seems to me we have a lunatic as a President.

Barack Obama may be a very, very dangerous man. We have cause for real concern. I don't know what to say beyond that. I am astonished at what we are witnessing.

Pastorius,

I'm not sure what she means, but probably the only people who could really associate Sharia law with "gender Justice" would be sexist pigs. If she actually thinks that she'd be better of under Sharia, she maybe a sadomasochist. As for the west's "lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism," its what made it the wealthiest region on the globe.

Also the fact that she thinks that women should not be allowed to hold positions of power, ought to enrage feminists. Seriously under sharia, all women, including Miss Mogahed, are little more than the property of men.

What is it with Obama? What is it with Mogahed. In countries like Saudi Arabia, It takes four male witness to convict a man of raping a woman, and if he is not convicted of rape, most likely the woman will be convicted of adultery and severely punished. Is Dalia Mogahed part of the stealth jihad or just an extreme useful idiot, or is she both? Either way, we have yet another reason to get Obama out of the white house, in 2012!

Pastorius,

And to think that some people think the only way one could oppose Obama is based on Racism.

Pastorius,

I don't know, what Michelle Obama thinks of her, but its probably not as negative as our feeling towards her. Truth is, its probably the same with the rest of Obama's nominees, otherwise she'd probably be the first, first lady to get a divorce.

I don't think he's a lunatic. Instead, he has a specific agenda, IMO.

I don't really try to keep up with the vagaries of lunacy that define "femininism" today. But that we are less than 100 years from having won the right to vote and now there is an advisor to the POTUS who advocates Sharia law to submit our lives to men who think they have the right to control us according to what their god wrote down is the result of so many warped outlooks it's hard to know where to start.

Those in the West who believe the similar things about women have to go through the U.S. Constitution, Supreme Court, and voting public to influence the law. We all have a chance to fight by the same rules. But Dalia Mogahed is a collectivist and fascist who believes individuals should be controlled by the state anyway. She and her "comrades" have no use for the principles on which human freedom are based, and if they find an ally who can come up with a god they can substitute, so much the better. "Slavery is freedom" if being a slave to the Caliphate would furhter the goal of dragging down and defeating Western Civilization. Women like Mogahed believe they would have "power" under Sharia all right -- the power of the overseer of slaves in the racist revenge fantasy which pervades the Obama adminisitration.

Other women continue to view the "religious right" as the chief threat to their rights because if they even know what Sharia is they see it as something that happens to women "over there in Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia" but never here. They refuse to consider the demographics that 1 in every 4 humans on earth is now a Muslim and believe that it will never affect them -- or their daughters or granddaughters. Besides, opposing Islam and Sharia would mean they would have to make common cause with those dreadful bushitlerites and they'd rather die. Literally? We'll see.

"During this week's broadcast, she described her White House role as "to convey... to the President and other public officials what it is Muslims want."
The more I thinka bout this story the madder I get. She's going to tell Obama what it is Muslims want? WEll isn't that nice. I just wish he was so concerned about what the rest of us want...Where are all the people who bitched about separation of church and state everytime a Christian president bowed his head to pray?? where the hell are they now?

Mogahed is following the Muslim play book...keep telling the frog the water isn't getting hotter.

unbelievable...

RRA,
You said: ... Dalia Mogahed is a collectivist and fascist who believes individuals should be controlled by the state ...

I say: I think all the people on my list are collectivists and fascists who believe individuals should be controlled by the state. I understand your particular concern with Mogahed, and of course this post is about her, but the larger point is the pattern. Obama is very, very dangerous.

You said: Women like Mogahed believe they would have "power" under Sharia all right -- the power of the overseer of slaves in the racist revenge fantasy which pervades the Obama adminisitration.

I say: Very well said.

I say: Yes, and that is what is so pathetic about the Feminist Movement. They have betrayed themselves as completely selfish and lacking in moral authority. Very few women have stood up (a la Phyllis Chesler, who is a brave feminist) and said "No."

To her credit, Jay Leno's wife (I forget her name) was on the case against Sharia since BEFORE 9/11.

AOW,
I mean to say that he is a lunatic in the sense that Stalin, Hitler, Castro, and Pol Pot were lunatics.

I think he is proving he has the motive and the means to do almost anything.

Do you see what I'm getting at.

As I said in another thread, on this same subject, over at AB, "Obama is amassing his legions" The question is what does he intend to do with them?

No matter what he intends to do, no matter if he gets away with it, we can already see that he and his friends are very, very dangerous.

I wonder what the first demand of a nuclear Iran will be? Perhaps it will be something like "Sharia law in the US or risk a nuke attack".

And who will be the scapegoats and traitors in the US? The women who want to keep their privates in tact and who do not want to live in shrouds.

Depends on who is running the show and as long as it is the mullahs with Ahmadinejad as their mouthpiece we have to keep in mind that enticing the Mahdi to emerge from his well specifically requires chaos. Would merely using their nukes to blackmail the Infidels into making concessions satisfy their apocalyptic yearnings? Maybe, but I had better things to do with money than to bet on it.
