Brief excerpt:
Today is the beginning of the Hajj, an annual event in which Muslims must trample each other running figure eights around a big black cube which contains a rock inside a bedpan. This year's Hajj also brings with it concerns about H1N1 virus, and Brooke cites CNN for some details:
Dr. Asif Saberi gives them a short lecture on how to prepare and encourages everyone to have their shots at least seven days before traveling. He says the Saudi government is doing a lot to protect pilgrims, but "the magnitude of the problem is the magnitude of the numbers of people who attend the Hajj."Read Brooke's entire posting HERE.
When it comes to using hand sanitizer and wearing masks, Saberi says he encounters confusion about religious dictates and flu prevention. According to Muslim beliefs, for example, men in a state of pilgrimage should not wear any stitched items or touch alcohol. So what about wearing face masks or using alcohol-based sanitizers?
Be sure to read the CNN article, too.

Thanks for the link.
Almost every year, hundreds if not thousands of people die during the Hajj. Often they die in massive tent wildfires.
One has to wonder if this is just more of Allah's bloodthirstiness.
Jonestown.
On a massive scale.
No difference in the level of insanity. Just a much bigger cult.
To think that all it might take to send this 1400 year old madness circling the drain would be one device a fraction of the size of Little Boy detonated over that stupid black box. And a mini-me of Fat Man in Medina for good measure. No more Allah the Allmighty. No more Haj. One less Pillar. Wanna fight and die for a god whose holy of holies can be glazed over by the Infidels in a split second? You shaheed wanna-bes sure Big Al can really come up with that promised hoard of houris for ya after all?
What will it take before those in a position to do it are even willing to think about it? We know what it took in WWII. But then, Truman was on our side.....
