"Pirates Must Be Hunted Down"
Such ships must act promptly and ruthlessly, as piracy will spread unless it is stamped out. The Gulf of Aden is an exit from the Mediterranean, one of the world's most important seas, crossed annually by thousands of ships. So our campaign must be ruthless and pitiless: pirate ships must be sunk on sight and the crews left to swim to safety, if it can be reached.
This wont happen, of course. Instead the administration of President Pantywaist is thinking about bringing criminal charges:
FBI agents are investigating the Somali pirates who hijacked a U.S. ship and are holding its captain hostage, U.S. officials said Saturday, raising the possibility of federal charges against the men if they are captured.
"If there were ever a U.S. victim of one of these attacks or a U.S. shipping line that were a victim, our Justice Department has said that it would favorably consider prosecuting such apprehended pirates," Stephen Mull, the acting undersecretary of state for international security and arms control, told Congress last month.
That threat must really have the waterborne Jihadists shaking in their boots. Right after they're done laughing, they'll hijack yet another vessel. During his trip to Europe, President Girly-Man made it clear that it is now open season on American citizens, property and interests around the world. Even Somali pirates in row boats got the message.

* First Israeli drone purchase by Moscow
(Adds Israeli defence and industry sources, changes headline)
By Amie Ferris-Rotman
MOSCOW, April 10 (Reuters) - Russia said on Friday it had
signed a contract to buy drones from Israel, in the first such
deal analysts said was aimed at strengthening the armed forces
after last year's brief war with Georgia.
"We signed a contract with an Israeli firm for the delivery
of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)," local news agencies quoted
Russian Deputy Defence Minister Vladimir Popovkin as saying.
Russian media have reported the deal is worth about $50
million and that Russia will buy three different types of drones
from Israel's largest defence firm, state-owned Israel Aerospace
An Israeli defence source with knowledge of the deal told
Reuters the Israel Aerospace Industries sale was the first drone
sale to Russia by an Israeli firm. IAI officials declined to
Russia's five-day war with neighbouring Georgia last August
exposed a Soviet-style army with obsolete equipment and a lack
of spy drones and high-precision bombs, analysts said.
An industry source in Israel said Russian generals were
impressed with the drones Georgia had bought from the Jewish
state and approached the Israelis shortly after the war.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said that budget cuts this
year in the wake of the financial crisis will not affect planned
purchases of new weapons for the armed forces.
Israel's Haaretz daily said on Friday that the deal for the
drones went ahead only after Israel received clear signals from
Russia that it had no intention of selling S-300 anti-aircraft
missile systems to Iran.
Asked if the sale was connected to the S-300, the defence
source agreed there was a link, but gave no further details.

You can argue all you want that this is no big deal, and hardly damages american abilities.. but there is no way you can argue this is GOOD for the USA.
What A sCHmUCK
"Words Must Mean Something", But We Sure As Hell Had Better Not Back Them Up With Action Of Any Sort
“Rules must be binding. Violations must be punished. Words must mean something. The world must stand together to prevent the spread of these weapons. Now is the time for a strong international response.”
These words of Obama give new meaning to the term “empty rhetoric”. The UN didn’t even put out its customary Strongly Worded Communiqué. Russia even defended the NK launch. Re-read the statement by the President, a man who says “words must mean something” and denies it by his own inaction.
What do you make of a man who would say such things, who actually has the power to enforce what he says but clearly has absolutely no intention to do so? Is he delusional? Does he think he is still campaigning for office and can say the most ludicrous things and no one will care? Ask yourself, after this European apology tour and the President’s statements, do our enemies feel emboldened or chastened?
When Hillary Clinton giggles (at 0:33 of this CNN video) about stopping piracy, what do the Somlai pirates think? When Obama breaks into giggles (at 0:10 of this CBS video) about the worst financial crisis since the 1930’s, what are we to make of him?
In the old days, wasn’t it the tin pot dictators of the world who would combine outlandish rhetoric with impotence and inaction, and then break into laughter for good measure? The world has been stood on its head, and some days we can’t believe that everyone doesn’t see the obviousness of it.

We Owe The Existence Of Our Constitution, In Part, To The Existence Of Muslim Pirates
One small observation (my apologies if it's already been made I've been mightily distracted this week): It's worth remembering that we owe the existence of our Constitution in part to the existence of Muslim pirates.
If you've read Michael Oren's wonderful book, Power, Faith and Fantasy: American in the Middle East 1776 to the Present, you'll remember that the Articles of Confederation were thrown out in part because they couldn't provide for a Navy capable of defeating the Barbary pirates and others.
We needed a strong central government for that. I've always liked to bring this up in discussions about the conflict — sometimes real, sometimes imaginary — between a strong national defense and civil liberties.
You know the argument, the bigger the "national security state" gets, the more curtailed our constitutional liberties become. Etc. etc.
Whatever the merits of that argument — and I think there are fewer than most people realize — the great irony is that the cart is put before the horse. And I don't just mean that the military defends the American way of life and all that. Rather, If we hadn't needed a bigger military in the first place, we might not have those constitutional liberties that bigger militaries are supposed to be at odds with.
The New Free Alliance - India, Japan, Israel and nations like Poland VS>
The free nations will not simply disappear. Some of them may actually determine to live
The USA has no place in this.
Obama and Chuck Schumer have made this clear. Biden, who suggested sending $200 million to Iran in 2001 as literal jizya to convince them we meant no harm now says we are better off in a world WITH a nuclear Iran, than an Israel which will prevent it.
We now have no place in the struggle for freedom against absolutism, terror, and theocracy. We have no religion, a bad history and a destroyed economy. Our culture is to offend no one by representing nothing. Our birth is the result of slave holding old white guys more worried about preserving their properties than social justice. Our past is a bloody goop melange of the United Fruit Company, stealing from and slaughtering the former natives, punctuated by a bloody civil war to correct our permanent sin against humanity, and avoidable wars resulting in an imperial power dominated by other old white guys who manipulated what good there was to increase the gaps between rich and poor while inventing crack to keep the former slaves addicted and busy. Our stealing of and interefence with the resources of others, and colonial errors have resulted in a world now grown tired of our arrogance and interference.
We will be bitterly missed.
When the world turns and we must re-enter this timeless war going on since the first men stopped wandering to plant something, there will be cynical doubt about our staying power. After all, it will have been the American people themselves who voted in the democrats and Obama.
Who can blame them for doubting us as a nation?
I DOUBT US TODAY.
The war Islam makes upon us?
People, we have a shambles here to correct before we can deal with anything. Neither this administration, nor this congress, nor our media, nor our education system is configured to defend those values the founders established. I am now convinced that THIS must be corrected and we must BELIEVE we have something to defend and promulgate before we can be successful against a malignant Islamic assault on those same values.
Franklin warned us "if you can keep it."
His warning echoes loudly.
Besides, I love the ending.

O(blah-blah)bama in the Balance
It is true that your great triumph to this point, the thing that has gotten you the presidency, is your ability to stand up and orate in a dignified and reassuring way. It is also true that this is a very important thing for a politician to be able to do. But you must be aware that this is not all that is going to be required from you.
That’s too bad because it is beginning to look like its the only thing you are good at.
Your promises of transparency disappeared in the pork-filled, un-read, pages of the first stimulus package that was cobbled together by people unnamed and railroaded through the legislature in the throes of trumped-up panic.
Your dedication to integrity has been exposed as a sham as you fill your administration with tax cheats and self-promoting ideologues.
You bow down to Saudi royalty as they smile in smug approval at your subservience, live under our protection and continue to make war on our values and undermine our civilization.
You hide behind a feckless Judenrat (Emmanuel, Boxer, et al) of compliant “warranting Jews” as you make flirtatious overtures to Iranian Mullahs. Then you just smile knowingly when their nasty little poppet-despot Achmadinejad insults you and America by throwing your words back at you. All the while he funds and fosters surrogate terror armies and continues to prepare to destroy our only real ally in the Middle East with a Nuclear Holocaust.
You cluck your tongue and issue empty cautions (they are not even strong enough to be called threats) as the lunatic despot of North Korea fires a ballistic missile over the very heads of our faithful ally Japan and in our general direction.
Even before you left the G20 meeting, the Europeans were getting tired of you. As you headed for the door you were already being called a windbag and a bore.
By the way, that sound you heard as you left Europe was the last few intelligent people in France and Germany letting out a gasp of recognition that they have gotten the ineffectual and self-deprecating America they thought they have wanted and are now more alone than they have been since 1941- with a more insidious and persistent enemy knocking at the gates.
You, my president, are looking less like The One and a great deal more like The Wizard of Oz. But here’s the catch, no one is going to kill the wicked witch for you. You are they guy we are all looking to. You are going to have to drop the Mr. McCawber routine and actually do something.
Sooner would be better than later, because one or two terror attacks in the US or a nuclear bomb blast over Tel Aviv will reverse the historical importance of your presidency- instead of the name of the first African American leader of the Free World O(blah-blah)bama will be forever known as the epitome of empty, impotent bloviation.

Teenager in juvenile home seeks help to save his eye
Muhammad Humaidan Arab News
JEDDAH: Ali, a Yemeni boy aged 15, has been in detention at a juvenile care home in Jeddah for 18 months while he waits for his family to raise SR120,000 or have an eye gouged.
Ali damaged the eye of another boy during a brawl involving a number of schoolboys in Jeddah’s Al-Qurayat district — one of the underdeveloped residential areas of the city.
As a result, he was ordered to pay SR300,000 to his victim or have one of his eyes gouged. His family has so far only been able to collect SR180,000.
“My mother has collected SR180,000. I am waiting for them to collect the rest. I am hoping someone could come and help me with the cash,” said Ali.
Ali, whose mother is divorced, has six siblings. The family lives in Al-Qurayat district, which is home to mainly poor foreigners.
Ali’s eldest brother, Adnan, said the family was living on money he and another brother earn by doing odd jobs.
He said he has sought to negotiate with the victim’s father, but he has refused to waive off the remaining cash.
“We hope a philanthropist would come to our rescue. My brother’s release depends on that,” he said.
Adnan said Ali has spent six months in detention. He was temporarily released to sit an exam but is now back in the juvenile home.
“My poor mother is knocking on doors to collect the remaining balance,” Adnan added.

Huge Bomb Lab Found in Mosque
by Maayana Miskin
(IsraelNN.com) Hamas terrorists in Kalkilya built a large supply of bombs and stored them in a local mosque without raising suspicion from local Palestinian Authority armed forces who represent the rival Fatah faction. However, the terrorists were out of luck on Wednesday, Passover eve, when a simple electric shortage gave away their plans.
The shortage caused a small fire in the mosque, bringing PA forces to the building, where they found bombs ready for use and large cannisters of bomb-making materials. The mosque was closed down, and PA sappers removed the explosives.
The bombs were then turned over to the IDF, which sent experts to detonate the weapons in a controlled explosion.
A captain in the PA forces told Israeli journalists that the mosque had been used to both produce and store the bombs. “It was a huge weapons lab,” he said.
Four people have been arrested in connection to the incident, he said, two of them members of Hamas and two “everyday citizens.”
Kalkilya and surrounding villages have been the source of several recent attacks on Israeli citizens. Two Israelis were wounded in rock attacks in the past month when driving in the area, and other rock and firebomb attacks on vehicles have been reported.
Kalkilya is located just minutes from the Israeli city of Kfar Saba and the Trans-Israel highway.
However, due to the Judea and Samaria security barrier, Kalkilya terrorists have largely turned away from attacking Israelis in those areas, and have focused on harming Jews in Samaria.
Surviving in a post-American World
from The Jerusalem Post h/t Atlas
Column One: Surviving in a post-American world
Apr. 9, 2009
Caroline Glick , THE JERUSALEM POST
Like it or not, the United States of America is no longer the world's policeman. This was the message of Barack Obama's presidential journey to Britain, France, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Iraq this past week.
Somewhere between apologizing for American history - both distant and recent; genuflecting before the unelected, bigoted king of Saudi Arabia; announcing that he will slash the US's nuclear arsenal, scrap much of America's missile defense programs and emasculate the US Navy; leaving Japan to face North Korea and China alone; telling the Czechs, Poles and their fellow former Soviet colonies, "Don't worry, be happy," as he leaves them to Moscow's tender mercies; humiliating Iraq's leaders while kowtowing to Iran; preparing for an open confrontation with Israel; and thanking Islam for its great contribution to American history, President Obama made clear to the world's aggressors that America will not be confronting them for the foreseeable future.
Whether they are aggressors like Russia, proliferators like North Korea, terror exporters like nuclear-armed Pakistan or would-be genocidal-terror-supporting nuclear states like Iran, today, under the new administration, none of them has any reason to fear Washington.
This news is music to the ears of the American Left and their friends in Europe. Obama's supporters like billionaire George Soros couldn't be more excited at the self-induced demise of the American superpower. CNN's former (anti-)Israel bureau chief Walter Rodgers wrote ecstatically in the Christian Science Monitor on Wednesday, "America's... superpower status, is being downgraded as rapidly as its economy."
The pro-Obama US and European media are so pleased with America's abdication of power that they took the rare step of applauding Obama at his press conference in London. Indeed, the media's enthusiasm for Obama appeared to grow with each presidential statement of contrition for America's past uses of force, each savage attack he leveled against his predecessor George W. Bush, each swipe he took at Israel, and each statement of gratitude for the blessings of Islam he uttered.
But while the media couldn't get enough of the new US leader, America's most stable allies worldwide began a desperate search for a reset button that would cause the administration to take back its abandonment of America's role as the protector of the free world.
Tokyo was distraught by the administration's reaction to North Korea's three-stage ballistic missile test. Japan recognized the betrayal inherent in Defense Secretary Robert Gates's announcement ahead Pyongyang's newest provocation that the US would only shoot the missile down if it targeted US territory. In one sentence, uttered not in secret consultations, but declared to the world on CNN, Gates abrogated America's strategic commitment to Japan's defense.
India, for its part, is concerned by Obama's repeated assertions that its refusal to transfer control over the disputed Jammu and Kashmir provinces to Pakistan inspires Pakistani terror against India. It is equally distressed at the Obama administration's refusal to make ending Pakistan's support for jihadist terror groups attacking India a central component of its strategy for contending with Pakistan and Afghanistan. In general, Indian officials have expressed deep concern over the Obama administration's apparent lack of regard for India as an ally and a significant strategic counterweight to China.
Then there is Iraq. During his brief visit to Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon, Obama didn't even pretend that he would ensure that Iraqi democracy and freedom is secured before US forces are withdrawn next year. The most supportive statement he could muster came during his conversation with Turkish students in Istanbul earlier in the day. There he said, "I have a responsibility to make sure that as we bring troops out, that we do so in a careful enough way that we don't see a complete collapse into violence."
Hearing Obama's statements, and watching him and his advisers make daily declarations of friendship to Iran's mullahs, Iraqi leaders are considering their options for surviving the rapidly approaching storm.
Then there is Europe. Although Obama received enthusiastic applause from his audience in Prague when he announced his intention to destroy the US's nuclear arsenal, drastically scale back its missile defense programs and forge a new alliance with Russia, his words were anything but music to the ears of the leaders of former Soviet satellites threatened by Russia. The Czech, Polish, Georgian and Ukrainian governments were quick to recognize that Obama's strong desire to curry favor with the Kremlin and weaken his own country will imperil their ability to withstand Russian aggression.
It is not a coincidence, for instance, that the day Obama returned to Washington, Georgia's Moscow-sponsored opposition announced its plan to launch massive protests in Tblisi to force the ouster of pro-Western, anti-Russian Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili.
And as for Russia, like Iran, which responded to Obama's latest ode to the mullahs by opening a nuclear fuel plant and announcing it has 7,000 advanced centrifuges in operation, so Moscow reacted to Obama's fig leaf with a machine gun, announcing its refusal to support sanctions against North Korea and repeating its false claim that Iran's nuclear program is nonaggressive.
Finally there is Israel. If Obama's assertions that Israel must support the immediate establishment of a Palestinian state, his declarations of support for the so-called Saudi "peace plan," which requires Israel to commit national suicide in exchange for "peace" with the Arab world, and his continuous and increasingly frantic appeals for Iran to "engage" his administration weren't enough to show Israel that Obama is sacrificing the US's alliance with the Jewish state in a bid to appease the Arabs and Iran, on Tuesday Vice President Joseph Biden made this policy explicit.
When Biden told CNN that Israel would be "ill-advised" to attack Iran's nuclear installations, he made clear that from the administration's perspective, an Israeli strike that prevents Iran from becoming a nuclear power is less acceptable than a nuclear-armed Iran. That is, the Obama administration prefers to see Iran become a nuclear power than to see Israel secure its very existence.
AMERICA'S BETRAYAL of its democratic allies makes each of them more vulnerable to aggression at the hands of their enemies - enemies the Obama administration is now actively attempting to appease. And as the US strengthens their adversaries at their expense, these spurned democracies must consider their options for surviving as free societies in this new, threatening, post-American environment.
For the most part, America's scorned allies lack the ability to defeat their enemies on their own. India cannot easily defeat nuclear-armed Pakistan, which itself is fragmenting into disparate anti-Indian nuclear-wielding Islamist and Islamist-supporting factions.
Japan today cannot face North Korea - which acts as a Chinese proxy - on its own without risking a confrontation with China. Russia's invasion of Georgia last August showed clearly that its former republics and satellites have no way of escaping Moscow's grip alone. This week's Arab League conference at Doha demonstrated to Iraq's leaders that their Arab brethren are incapable and unwilling to confront Iran.
And the Obama administration's intense efforts to woo Iran coupled with its plan to slash the US's missile defense programs - including those in which Israel participates - and reportedly pressure Israel to dismantle its own purported nuclear arsenal - make clear that Israel today stands alone against Iran.
THE RISKS that the newly inaugurated post-American world pose for America's threatened friends are clear. But viable opportunities for survival do exist, and Israel can and must play a central role in developing them. Specifically, Israel must move swiftly to develop active strategic alliances with Japan, Iraq, Poland, and the Czech Republic and it must expand its alliance with India.
With Israel's technological capabilities, its intelligence and military expertise, it can play a vital role in shoring up these countries' capacities to contain the rogue states that threaten them. And by containing the likes of Russia, North Korea and Pakistan, they will make it easier for Israel to contain Iran even in the face of US support for the mullahs.
The possibilities for strategic cooperation between and among all of these states and Israel run the gamut from intelligence sharing to military training, to missile defense, naval development, satellite collaboration, to nuclear cooperation. In addition, of course, expanded economic ties between and among these states can aid each of them in the struggle to stay afloat during the current global economic crisis.
Although far from risk free, these opportunities are realistic because they are founded on stable, shared interests. This is the case despite the fact that none of these potential alliances will likely amount to increased support for Israel in international forums. Dependent as they are on Arab oil, these potential allies cannot be expected to vote with Israel in the UN General Assembly. But this should not concern Jerusalem.
The only thing that should concern Jerusalem today is how to weaken Iran both directly by attacking its nuclear installations, and indirectly by weakening its international partners in Moscow, Pyongyang, Islamabad and beyond in the absence of US support. If Japan is able to contain North Korea and so limit Pyongyang's freedom to proliferate its nuclear weapons and missiles to Iran and Syria and beyond, Israel is better off. So, too, Israel is better off if Russia is contained by democratic governments in Eastern and Central Europe. These nations in turn are better off if Iran is contained and prevented from threatening them both directly and indirectly through its strategic partners in North Korea, Syria and Russia, and its terror affiliates in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
For the past 16 years, successive Israeli governments have wrongly believed that politics trump strategic interests. The notion that informed Israel's decision-makers - not unlike the notion that now informs the Obama administration - was that Israel's strategic interests would be secured as a consequence of its efforts to appease its enemies by weakening itself. Appreciative of Israel's sacrifices for peace, the nations of the world - and particularly the US, the Arabs and Europe - would come to Israel's defense in its hour of need. Now that the hour of need has arrived, Israel's political strategy for securing itself has been exposed as a complete fiasco.
The good news is that no doubt sooner rather than later, Obama's similarly disastrous bid to denude the US of its military power under the naive assumption that it will be able to use its new stature as a morally pure strategic weakling to win its enemies over to its side will fail spectacularly and America's foreign policy will revert to strategic rationality.
But to survive the current period of American strategic madness, Israel and the US's other unwanted allies must build alliances with one another - covertly if need be - to contain their adversaries in the absence of America. If they do so successfully, then the damage to global security induced by Obama's emasculation of his country will be limited. If on the other hand, they fail, then America's eventual return to its senses will likely come too late for its allies - if not for America itself.
Islam Is Insulted By Alleged Child-Killer's Mug Shot, But Not, Apparently, By The Killing Itself
Was Islam "insulted" by the child killing?
"Islam 'insulted' by alleged child killer's mug shot, says husband," by Kim Janssen for theSouthtown Star, April 10 (thanks to Sarah):
The police booking photo of alleged child killer Nour Hadid released Tuesday is an "insult against our religion," says Hadid's husband, Alaeddin.
Orland Park police detectives say the 26-year-old Muslim woman was treated as any other suspect in a murder probe would be, and they did not intend to humiliate her when they photographed her Sunday without her headscarf and wearing only a skimpy top.
Nour Hadid is accused of beating her 2-year-old niece Bhia Hadid to death over four days at her home on the 9000 block of West 140th Street. The child had 55 separate bruises and was beaten "from head to toe," according to prosecutors, who say Hadid confessed.
But Alaeddin Hadid - who insists his wife is innocent
She confessed; see below.
- said Orland Park police are "really going to be in big trouble" for releasing the woman's booking photo to the news media after she was charged with first-degree murder.
The Hadids are Muslims and Nour "never leaves the home without covering up," said Alaeddin, who's vowed to sue.
By custom, some practicing Muslim women wear the hijab, or headscarf, and cover their arms and legs when in public.
In the mug shot, a bare-headed and obviously emotional Nour appears to be protecting her modesty with her hands.
"It is against our religion; we do not do this in our culture," Alaeddin said.
"People have been calling me about this all day."...
Orland Park police Cmdr. Chuck Doll said the mug shot was taken "for identification purposes" before Hadid made her confession. Her headscarf was handed back to her after the photo was taken, Doll said.
"A matron was with her at all times while she was in our custody," Doll said. A matron is a law enforcement official who works with women held in custody. "She was wearing a tank top, and she had the headscarf when she was interviewed."
The headscarf later was taken from her after she made suicide threats, he said.
A sobbing Hadid appeared without the headscarf at the Bridgeview courthouse Tuesday and is being held without bail at the Cermak Medical Center at the Cook County Jail, where she remains on suicide watch.
Police have said her husband's possible involvement in Bhia's death still is under investigation....
And -- surprise, surprise! -- here come the unindicted co-conspirators:
Islamic advocacy groups seem wary of taking up Hadid's cause.
Spokesmen for the Council on Islamic American Relations, the Islamic Society of North America and the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation all declined to comment Thursday.
But Dr. Mohammed Sahloul, chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Chicago, said that while police should follow the usual procedures with all defendants, "they should respect the modesty of the accused."
Sahloul, who made it clear he was not aware of the Hadid case and was speaking in general terms about the hijab, pointed out that Muslim women are allowed to wear hijabs in photos for their state IDs.
"If it's for the purposes of identification and they cover in public, then that's going to be more effective in identifying them anyway," he said.
Former chairman Kareem Irfan said, "It's particularly humiliating because she appears to be in her underwear.
Hilary Cackles Over Pirates
RUSH: Greetings, my friends. Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network. Great to have you with us, as we charge forward for another three hours of broadcast excellence.
to the pirate situation, late yesterday afternoon in Washington, press conference with the Moroccan prime minister and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, unidentified reporter says, "Madam Secretary, do you have any clarity on the Somali pirate situation?"
HILLARY: We're deeply concerned and we're following it very closely. Um... (pause) You know... Specifically we are now focused on this particular act of piracy and the seizure of a ship that, uh, carries 21 American citizens. More generally, we think the world must come together, uhh, to end the scourge of piracy. I think Morocco was the very first country that recognized us, going back a -- a -- a long time, and, uh, uh, we worked together to end piracy off the coast of Morocco (cackling) all those years ago! (cackling louder) and, uh, we're going to work together, uh, to end, uh, this kind of criminal activity anywhere on the high seas.
RUSH: Well, this is just incredible. She sits there and laughs about how we worked with Morocco years -- ha-ha-ha, we, ha-ha, we came together, ha-ha, very first country that recognizes we, ha-ha, to end piracy off the ha-ha-ha-ha, off the coast of Morocco all those years, ha-ha-ha-ha, and now the world has to come together again. Well, we probably did blow up Morocco, showed them who's boss. The world has to come together; the world has to do something. Hillary warned us about this! During the presidential campaign, ladies and gentlemen, Mrs. Clinton kept reminding the United States, the people of this country, about that 3 a.m. phone call. Even the AP writes a story about this today: "Hillary Clinton said there would be days -- and nights -- like this. For the second time in four days and with less than three months in office, President Barack Obama has received the '3 a.m. phone call' that Clinton warned about. In their bitter presidential contest, Clinton suggested that her young rival was not ready for a national security crisis." He declined comment when asked about it.

Yeah, And Guess What That "F" Stands For, Fuckwad
MSNBC poll of 1.8 million: Obama earns 'F'
9:37 pm Eastern
By Chelsea Schilling
© 2009 WorldNetDaily
With more than 1.8 million responses to a MSNBC poll, President Obama has earned a grade of "F" for his performance in office.
He received a failing mark in an MSNBC unscientific online survey after having spent less than three months in the White House.
In its "Give President Obama a Grade" survey, MSNBC asked nearly 2 million respondents, "If you were grading Barack Obama on his performance as president, what would he get?"
The largest number of respondents – or 43 percent – gave Obama an "F."
Approximately 31 percent said the president has earned an "A," while 6.5 percent gave him a "B," 5.3 percent answered a "C" and 14 percent said he has earned a "D."
Meanwhile, Rasmussen Reports' daily presidential tracking poll for April 7, 2009, shows that 37 percent of voters strongly approve of Obama's performance. A full 29 percent now strongly disapprove of his performance.
The poll was conducted via telephone surveys of only 1,500 respondents.
Or We Could Try The French Way
Shame: Even the French Show More Balls than Obama
Via CNN:(CNN) -- A French hostage and two pirates died Friday in a rescue operation off Somalia's coastline, the French president's office in Paris said Friday.
Four hostages, including a child, were freed from the hijacked yacht after almost a week of captivity, Nicolas Sarkozy's office said.
The French military decided to move in when pirates refused their offers and increased threats against the hostages, it said.
The four adults and a child had been held aboard their yacht, the Tanit, since it was seized in the Gulf of Aden on Saturday, the president's statement said.
Too bad the one hostage was killed. But there are always risks to these things. Sometimes taking a risk is better than being a Dhimmi to these pirates. Never thought I'd see the day when the French had more intestinal fortitude that our president.
I'm upset that apparently no one was in the water ready to help Captain Phillips when he jumped overboard in the middle of the night last night. I'm sure Obi-One is taking the best advice he can get. But at some point Mr. President you have to make a call. The risk is not going to get any lower.
I've never felt ashamed of my country, but I'm starting to get close.

This tugs on my heart strings. Damn, If only our snipers had their scopes on these arseholes heads, the standoff would have been over. This sucks testes.
A Somali negotiator said Friday pirates holding American ship captain Richard Phillips hostage want a $2 million ransom and are ready to kill Phillips if attacked.
The announcement by the unidentified Somali, who helped negotiate a ransom
paid last year to pirates who seized a Ukrainian ship carrying tanks, comes the
same day Phillips was recaptured after he made an escape attempt from the life
boat where he is being held hostage.
The negotiator said he has spoken with a pirate leader on the ground in Somalia who is coordinating action on the lifeboat adrift in the Indian Ocean. He says the plan is to get the hostage to shore to negotiate from a better position.
Sometime overnight, captain Phillips got away for a short period, and jumped off the lifeboat in an attempt to swim away, probably managing to escape through the lifeboat's backdoor. The drama was witnessed at some distance by the U.S. Navy, but it reportedly happened so quickly they could not provide assistance.
Defense officials said that one of the pirates fired an automatic weapon when Phillips tried to swim to safet,[sic] but it was not clear whether the pirate fired at the fleeing hostage, or into the air.
Also on Friday officials said other pirates sought to reinforce their colleagues by sailing hijacked ships with other captives aboard to the scene of the standoff.[...]
Mohamed Samaw, a resident of the pirate stronghold in Eyl, Somalia, who claims to have a "share" in a British-owned ship hijacked Monday, said four foreign ships held by pirates are heading toward the lifeboat. A total of 54 hostages are on two of the ships — citizens of China, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Tuvalu, Indonesia and Taiwan.
Terrorist pirates using hostages of other ships is certainly dangerous for us. Who in the hell knows how China, Russia, etc will react to save their hostages let alone Captain Phillips.
Getting Phillips to shore would be devastating, alQaeda linked al-Shabaab would undoubtedly join in.
