I'm glad the French are standing up, but you gotta admit it is funny that the two things they stand up over are
Viva La France! It's great to see people standing up to fight the Islamization of Europe...

Burqas and Halal Restaurants.
In other words, the French stand up against bad taste in food and fashion.

I don't have a problem with large fast-food chains serving Halal food, but this should only be optional. It's ridiculous how the restaurant chains in question removed pork products off of their menu to appease their Muslim guests. I would be pretty pissed off if I went to a place such as IHOP, for example, only to find that they took bacon off the menu because it offended a certain minority.

I hope they start standing up over other things as well. Maybe after Muslim fundamentalists start threatening the lives of the protesters the French authorities will finally start cracking down on Jihadists.
Frankly, breakfast without bacon is unthinkable to me.
That would be a reason for a new Constitutional Congress, in my opinion.

Actually I heard somewhere that a lot of the things people believe about pigs are myths. For one thing, I remember some documentary telling me that pigs are actually very picky eaters.
I've heard that too.
I read Malcolm X's autobiography many years back. And, it cracked me up that everytime he referred to pork, he called it "the filthy pig".
