This guy is a genius at saying one thing to Muslims while, at the same time, saying the exact opposite to the Dhimmified Infidels.
Muslim Scholar Makes First U.S. Appearance After Ban is Lifted
(RNS) Tariq Ramadan made his first public appearance in the U.S. on Thursday, since the U.S. State Department barred entry to the controversial scholar and Islamic activist in 2004.
Ramadan’s appearance on a panel in New York on “Islam in the West” reflects recent U.S. efforts to build bridges with Muslims and ends a long odyssey for Ramadan, who teaches Islamic Studies at the University of Oxford.
Ramadan, on a five-day visit, is the grandson of Hasan Al-Banna, who founded the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
But the Swiss-born Ramadan is popular among Muslims who appreciate his message about the compatibility of Islam and democracy. He has also criticized American policies in Iraq and Palestine, however, garnering enemies who say his moderate talk is a smokescreen for radical ambitions.
In 2004 the Bush administration revoked Ramadan’s visa and later accused him of sending money to a charity connected to terrorists.
Ramadan said the group was not on a U.S. government watch-list when he made the donation, and had no way of knowing their terrorism connection.
On Thursday, Ramadan said the ban undermined American values and that it was no longer appropriate to speak about “Muslims in the West,” but rather “Western Muslims.”“The difference is that we are not here in a host country. We are at home, and Islam is a Western religion,” Ramadan said.Ramadan will also speak Saturday in Chicago at a banquet sponsored by the Council on American Islamic Relations, and on Monday at Georgetown University.
Talk of Muslim integration was old, too, he said. “It’s time not to speak about integrating, it’s to think about contribution, what do you give to your country. This is a step forward, when you give something, people are not asking where do you come from, they want to know where we are going together.”

Pastorius,
We can only hope that Obama supports this guy out of sheer ignorance, and not something else. Maybe Obama is failing for his tricks as well and maybe soon he will realize his mistake. I hope.
In a book written by apostates S. Solomon and E. Alamaqdisi called "The Mosque Exposed" we follow Ramadan's progressive Islam meme as outlined in Muslim doctrine :
". . .A'jihad bil hijra: jihad by immigration, both abroad and from city to city.
Hijra (Migration from Mecca to Medina by Muhammad and his followers)
"We will concern ourselves here only with a social jihad: that of hijra, or migration.
This notion is important and has both religious and political significance attached to it because the hijra, the immigration of Muhammad from Mecca to Medina. Migration is legally obligatory on a Muslim as prepatory to other forms of jihad for the victory of Islam and Muslims in other countries. This was established when Muhammad said:
'I command you with these five, which Allah has charged me with: assemble, listen, obey, hijra and jihad.'
Thus he declared hijra as preparatory as well as pairing it with jihad. Muhammad further added migration to continue as long as the enemy is fighting, in other words, resisting Islam. Hijra, migration, is obligatory as long as kufr or apostasy abounds.
Sura 8:72. . .those who believed and adopted immigration and fought for Islam with their wealth and their persons in the cause of Allah.
Sura 8:75. . .and those who accept faith wubsequently and adopt exile and fight for the religion of Islam in your company they are of you. . .
Sura 2:218. . .those who believed and those who suffered immigration and fought strove and struggled in the cause of Allah, they have the hope of the Mercy of Allah.
Sura 9:20. . .those who believed and suffered migration and strive with might and main in Allah's cause, with their wealth and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will be winners
So migration precedes jihad and both are inextricably linked.
Collective migration, or the congregating in one area, brings in the awareness of an Islamic identity: it enables Islam to be noticed in the abode of apostasy, through it's demands and refusal to integrate, and assimilate, and it helps to change and dismantle and finally annihilate the existing socio-political system of that society, as described by Maududi[*].
In other words, it is not possible to consolidate the Islamic religion without migration. There is no way to raise the profile of Islam in the abode of apostasy without the help of Muslims and the increase of their numbers.
This increase of numbers does not have to be from one country to another; it could, if necessary, be within the same country. So migration can be from Liverpool to London, or from Leeds to Luton, if the numbers would strengthen a given area and the kufr there would be defeated, or at least if Islam would gain both religiously and politically."

HRW
Pastorius,
Here's another article on Tariq Ramadan from Front PageMag.
The Return of Tariq Ramadan
Its a good thing we are not the only ones who understand what this guy is really like.
The long term survival of the free world may depend on it.
Obama understands Islam, therefore, I believe, he understands Tariq Ramadan quite well.
Pastorius,
I hope you are wrong. there's an old saying and I can't remember who said it originally "A country can survive its fools but may not survive its traitors." I'd rather our president be a fool than a traitor.
You can read more here about his speech at Georgetown.
NO mention to his statement about "stonings not yet in Europe" among other things.
The well-oiled "westernized" taqiyya masters such as Ramadan make my skin crawl. Such a person cannot possibly be focused on promises of satin pillows, fountains of wine, and renewable virgins in some alibababatshit paradise after he's blown himself and a few kufar to bits. So what is it that he wants? Besides the unlimited power to decide which adulterus couples really do deserve the public stonings, that is. What has lodged in his brain in the place where reason and morality should be?
Some people still look at me, the atheist and say, how can you have any morality?
I say, look at this poisonous snake who has devoted his life to eventually enslaving us to Islam, and you tell me why his "moral" compass is superior to mine, when nothing could make me go around lying to people as the "slave" of some god?
Mr. Tariq Ramadan -- and I am speaking here in purely metaphoric terms for the purpose of entertainment only, you understand -- needs frequent public applications of large fluffy custard pies to his expensive Western suit and his deceptively westernized face.
And the acceptance of Muslim immigrants -- excepting those apostates who are fleeing for their live -- has to stop. Now.
We couldn't possibly out-breed the spread of Islam over the next 20 years even if we tried, but they have demonstrated that they can, and will, use migration and population expansion to hasten our destruction.
RRA said: the acceptance of Muslim immigrants -- excepting those apostates who are fleeing for their live -- has to stop. Now.
I say: Yep.
Revere Rides Again,
People like Ramadan make my skin crawl as well. I just wish more people realized what men like him are truly like.
Revere Rides Again,
I'm not an atheist, but I could never believe in a god who required his followers to force others to believe in him and encouraged the inhuman treatment of others for rejecting him.
